Reincarnation Of The Strongest Sword God

Chapter 973 – Myth of Light

At Frostclaw’s question, the other Evil Nature executives turned to look at where the Ominous Cavalry members had gathered in the city, a cold glint flashing in their eyes.

Evil Nature was one of the Holy Race’s ten royal powers. Although Evil Nature had been persecuting Zero Wing and never took Zero Wing seriously, it was still unpleasant to be used as a shield by some no-name group to fight Zero Wing.

“Black Flame is smart. Now that he has brought up the Ominous Cavalry, even if he fails to capture Evil Sky City, he can at least sour the Ominous Cavalry’s relationship with us,” the three-eyed young man nicknamed Fist Emperor said, chuckling. “It’s a pity he came across me! I will let him know that even if it’s an ant I want to crush, he still isn’t allowed to touch it!”

Evil Nature’s executives couldn’t help but shake their heads at Fist Emperor’s arrogant and domineering words. However, as the young man was Evil Nature’s new number one chosen one, which granted him as much authority as the Guild’s Vice Guild Leaders, they could only humor him and ensure the Ominous Cavalry’s safety in the upcoming battle. As for whether Zero Wing could threaten Evil Sky City, none of them were worried about that.

Evil Sky City might only be an Advanced City, but its defenses were comparable to those of Holy Cities outside the Eternal Realm.

While Siege Weapons might have astonishing destructive power, only Epic Siege Weapons could break a Holy City’s defensive barrier within a short time. As for Siege Weapons below the Epic rank, they’d need at least half a day of constant bombardment to exhaust a Holy City’s energy reserves and damage the city directly.

With Evil Sky City’s offensive capabilities, half a day was enough to destroy any Siege Weapon below the Epic rank several times over.

Siege Weapons might be terrifying weapons to the ordinary powers, but it was a common occurrence for Evil Nature and other royal powers to deal with Siege Weapons.

Although Siege Weapons were nigh-insurmountable opponents to individual players, they weren’t invincible. Any Ancient Saint-ranked expert could damage Siege Weapons under the Epic rank.

To capture the human race’s resurrection camps in the World Ark’s core area, Evil Nature had recalled over 20 Level 230-plus Ancient Saint-ranked experts from the frontlines. Including those originally garrisoning Evil Sky City, Evil Nature now had 40 Ancient Saint-ranked experts in the city. Such a force was enough to deal with multiple Siege Weapons below the Epic rank, let alone one.

“Raise the city barrier’s energy supply to the maximum! Have the city’s 36 Towers of Destruction coordinate their attacks with me!” Fist Emperor commanded as he glanced at the Evil Nature executives around him. “As for everyone else, focus on supporting me and defending against that Siege Weapon’s attacks!”

“Understood!”

Frostclaw and the other 38 Ancient Saint-ranked experts responded cooperatively to Fist Emperor’s orders, none expressing dissatisfaction.

In no time, Evil Sky City’s defenses began to operate in an orderly manner under Fist Emperor’s command. First, three defensive barriers covering Evil Sky City appeared one after another. Then, Evil Nature’s fifth-floor experts gathered under the 36 Towers of Destruction situated across the city.

The Tower of Destruction was a Peak Offensive Construction. It fired nine Destruction Beams at a time, each carrying power at the Tier 6 Limit standard. When all nine beams converged, they could exhibit power rivaling a sub-Level 240 Ancient Saint’s full-power attack. Its only flaws were its high energy consumption and long Cooldown of one minute. To maximize the Tower of Destruction’s potential, the coordination of nine fifth-floor experts was necessary.

If 36 Towers of Destruction attacked in unison, not even Level 240 Ancient Saints would dare to receive it head-on.

In less than a minute, the Eye of Destruction of all 36 Towers of Destruction lit up, causing the dense Holy Power within the city to pool around them. A moment later, 36 Eyes of Destruction, several hundred meters in size, rose into the air, making it seem like the city was coming to life. The Eyes of Destruction also released a terrifying aura that petrified the monsters in Evil Sky City’s vicinity.

“Amazing! Are these Evil Nature’s prided Towers of Destruction?”

“Heavens! I was right to visit Evil Sky City at this time! The last time Evil Nature used its Towers of Destruction was when the Thunder Empire attacked one of its cities several years ago! I must record all this and show it off to my classmates!”

“As expected of a royal power. I can’t believe Evil Nature would invest a Threefold World Wall in an Advanced City. Even a standard World Wall can keep a Level 240 expert fully equipped with Divine Artifacts at bay for two to three hours. A Threefold World Wall can probably withstand a hit from even a Holy Ancestor.”

“But Black Flame truly is crazy to come to Evil Sky City. I wonder how long he can last against 36 Towers of Destruction? I hope he doesn’t fall or run away too quickly.”

The Holy Race players in Evil Sky City were excited by the activation of Evil Sky City’s defenses. Many even cheered as if they were in a festival.

…

“Boss Mad God, it seems Black Flame is intent on besieging the city. Should we put some distance between us?” Half Night asked. When he saw Shi Feng calmly counting down in the sky, he couldn’t help but get goosebumps.

“Don’t worry. This is Evil Nature’s headquarters. Even if the Sun Dynasty and the Thunder Empire were to attack Evil Sky City together, the city would stand strong for quite some time,” Solitary Mad God said before finding himself a seat at a nearby open-air restaurant and pulling out a bottle of malt liquor.

When Half Night saw Solitary Mad God’s nonchalant behavior, he thought he might be overthinking things.

As a royal power, Evil Nature’s foundations far exceeded those of any human apex power. Not to mention, 40 Level 230-plus Ancient Saint-ranked experts garrisoned Evil Sky City. Even if an Epic Siege Weapon were to show up, Evil Sky City could resist for a considerable period. Hence, there was no way Evil Sky City would lose to Zero Wing, an upstart power in the Eternal Realm.

…

In the sky, when Shi Feng finished counting down to the last second, he saw that nobody had left Evil Sky City. On the contrary, many Holy Race players shouted for him to hurry and get on with his act.

“Three minutes have passed. Since you don’t plan to leave, you will receive no mercy from me,” Shi Feng said as he glanced at the Holy Race players in the city. Then, he waved his hand and commanded, “Attack!”

At Shi Feng’s command, the 1,000 Zero Wing members controlling Firmament executed an attack sequence in unison. The next moment, the various mechanical parts of Firmament lit up brightly as it plunged toward Evil Sky City.

This was Firmament’s first Profound Skill, Myth of Light!

“Arrogance! Do you think you can defeat Evil Sky City with just a Siege Weapon?” When Fist Emperor saw the plunging column of light, he commanded, “After this attack, everyone charge with me!”

However, before anyone could respond to Fist Emperor’s command, countless swords of light suddenly appeared above Evil Sky City, their dazzling radiance blinding everyone. Immediately afterward, a deafening explosion echoed across the sky as the seemingly infallible Threefold World Wall was reduced to nothing…
