Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 1525: Chapter 1263:

Kang Li suddenly changed the subject, causing Old Lady Li, Elder Loh, and Xiao Shen to be momentarily unsettled, but the three quickly regained their composure. Old Lady Li glanced at Xiao Shen, then said to Kang Li, ”Neither your Uncle Loh nor I have any issues; it’s Xiao Shen who keeps saying to wait a bit longer.”

”Why?”

Kang Li was puzzled.

”He’s worried Xiao En won’t be able to accept it.” Old Lady Li sighed, ”I think his worry is somewhat excessive, yet I cannot ignore his feelings.”

”Comrade Xiao, Xiao En is an open-minded child; there’s no need for your concern at all.” Kang Li focused on Xiao Shen. ”You’ve been by Uncle Loh, Aunt, and Xiao En’s side for years. Xiao En knows what kind of person you are and feels it in his heart; he won’t reject you as his real dad.”

Kang Li didn’t randomly bring up the matter of Xiao En recognizing his biological father. Just recently, the young boy had come home from school and shared a secret with Kang Li.

He said at the time: Mom, actually I’m not your and Daddy’s biological child, right? Even though you never said so, I’m eight now, not a two or three-year-old. I can figure it out on my own.

Moreover, my last name is Loh, I’m called Loh En, and every year great-grandma and great-grandpa take me to the cemetery for homage. There, great-grandma says my grandparents and my birth mother are there.

Mom, though I felt a bit sad when I confirmed that I’m not your and Daddy’s biological child, I was more happy. I’m happy I have two mothers,

one who gave birth to me and one who has cared for me, loved me, spoiled me, and taught me how to be a person. Having these two mothers is my happiness.

Also, besides Daddy Luo, I should have a biological father who gave me life. I don’t know who he is yet, but no matter who he is, no matter if he likes me or not, I’m grateful he and Mother Loh Xue had me...

Loh En said a lot in front of Kang Li that day. As he left, the child hugged Kang Li tightly for a while, repeatedly saying thank you. He thanked Kang Li for giving him maternal love, providing him a happy family atmosphere, letting him feel paternal love, and experience love between siblings, almost pledging to Kang Li that he would be a well-behaved and sensible son.

After Loh En left, Kang Li thought of talking to Old Lady Li and Elder Loh, but daily classwork, taking care of the three Buns, occasionally visiting the old residence to care about Min Rui, Ming Han, and Ming Wei’s studies, and visiting Captain Kang’s elderly parents made her forget about contacting Old Lady Li.

Today, while taking a walk, she remembered naturally and thought of mentioning it before Old Lady Li.

”But...”

Xiao Shen’s lips twitched. He desired more than anyone to recognize his son, to hear his son call him Dad sooner, but he was genuinely afraid—afraid his son wouldn’t accept him.

”There’s no ’but’.”

Kang Li softly said, ”Xiao En is quite grown now; he knows a lot already. Not long ago, he spoke to me about his lineage openly. He said he already knows he’s not the biological child of me and Luo Yanqing.

He mentioned his last name is Loh, unlike his siblings, and that each year his great-grandma and great-grandpa take him to the cemetery to see his grandparents and his Mother Loh Xue.

He also expressed that although he doesn’t know which person is his biological dad, nor does he know if his real dad likes him, he’s very thankful to his biological dad and Mother Loh Xue for having him.”

After a brief pause, Kang Li asked Xiao Shen, ”Comrade Xiao, do you still have any concerns now?”
