Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 1468: Chapter 1249: Part 4

However, Dad only quoted that saying to teach you a principle. He never said that the little friend in your class was a bad person. After all, you are all still young and learning. Maybe when that little friend grows up a bit, they’ll realize that some of what they’re doing now is wrong and change their behavior.”

”Hmm, I (Tangyuan, Guoguo) understand!”

The three little buns nodded earnestly, their little heads bobbing up and down.

Luo Yanqing’s cool voice held a hint of laughter as he asked, ”So, do you still want to go to kindergarten?”

Xu Dan overheard the conversation at the top of the stairs. Seeing the old man at home being left speechless by Xi Chenyu, she quickly intervened to smooth things over: ”Little Yu, Grandpa is just giving you advice he thinks is good.”

”I don’t think it’s good advice.”

Glancing at Xu Dan, Xi Chenyu said, ”If you adults don’t handle this, and Gao Xinyue troubles Little Sister Guoguo again, I’ll teach her a lesson!”

The delicate-featured little boy had a cold expression: ”Because our families live in the same compound, and because of the relationship between Grandpa and Grandfather Gao, I’ve always held back from doing anything to Gao Xinyue. But ever since she transferred to our kindergarten, I’ve found her more annoying than before.”

Elder Xi and Xu Dan were stunned.

”Why does she say I’m hers? My surname is Xi, hers is Gao. I’m my parents’ child, a member of the Xi family, and I have no relation to the Gao family whatsoever.”

With that said, Xi Chenyu straightened his little back and, with a cold face, marched upstairs.

When the footsteps on the stairs faded away, Xu Dan came back to her senses, sat down on the sofa opposite Elder Xi, and suggested, ”Dad... should I visit the Gao family?”

”No need, I’ll talk to your Uncle Gao right now.” Just because the Gao family spoils their own child doesn’t mean his little grandson has to suffer.

Elder Xi felt a bit ashamed. He realized that he might have cared too much about keeping up appearances. He didn’t want a trivial issue between the younger generation to strain the relationship with the Gao family.

Of course, visiting the Gao family was not about severing ties. It was about expressing his stance and attitude regarding what his grandson had mentioned. How the Gao family chose to respond would be up to them.

However, if the Gao family didn’t take him seriously, then whatever trouble their little girl might encounter at kindergarten would be of their own making.

Thinking this, Elder Xi stood up. ”Is your mother asleep?”

Xu Dan replied, ”She just took her medicine and lay down.” Old Lady Xi was not in good health and needed to rest and take medicine for years. Although the family hired a professional caregiver, Xu Dan, as the youngest daughter-in-law, would personally take care of her mother-in-law whenever she was at home.

It wasn’t a show for the family, nor was it to compete with her sisters-in-law. It was simply because Xu Dan wanted to do it.

”You’re doing a great job.”

Elder Xi was very pleased with Xu Dan, his youngest daughter-in-law. His eyes filled with kindness, and a smile appeared on his face. ”Take a good rest. Guobang should be back soon. I’ll head to the Gao family and be back in no time.”

”Thank you, Dad.”

She got up to see Elder Xi out of the living room and then returned to the sofa.

The Gao Family.

”You’ve got something to say to me.”

As soon as Elder Xi entered the Gao family’s gate, he saw Old Master Gao in the yard. Without any preamble, he said, ”Let’s go to your study.” Hearing this, Old Master Gao was puzzled but still led Elder Xi into the study. As soon as they sat down, Old Master Gao, in a statement rather than a question, said, ”You’ve got something to say to me.”

”Yes.”

Elder Xi nodded.

”You rarely visit, so you’re not here to talk business, are you?” From Elder Xi’s expression, Old Master Gao sensed his displeasure. But as old hands, guessing what was on Elder Xi’s mind wasn’t easy.

To lighten the mood, Old Master Gao chuckled and jokingly asked Elder Xi.

”Old Gao, you know I never bring business home. I’m here to talk about your Little Moonlight.”

Elder Xi didn’t smile as he spoke plainly: ”My Little Yu attends Shuimu University Affiliated Kindergarten. After you learned about this, you quietly transferred your Little Moonlight over there as well.

Maybe I’m overthinking, but your Little Moonlight indeed transferred to the kindergarten where Little Yu studies. This wouldn’t be an issue, but the problem is that as soon as your Little Moonlight sees Little Yu talking to other kids in kindergarten,

she runs over to those kids and says that Little Yu is hers. Old Gao, if Little Moonlight occasionally acts like this when Little Yu talks to other kids,

it’s no big deal. But if she repeatedly tells other kids Little Yu is hers, isn’t that a bit much?”

Old Master Gao looked extremely embarrassed but said, ”Old Xi, aren’t you making a fuss over nothing?! What do kids know? From what I see, if Little Moonlight says Little Yu is hers, she’s likely saying, ’Brother Chenyu is mine,’ meaning she likes Little Yu. Just like kids playing house, it doesn’t mean anything.”

”Children may be young, but they have their thoughts. My Little Yu is very unhappy with your Little Moonlight saying that.”

Seeing Old Master Gao brushing off his concern, Elder Xi’s expression slightly darkened: ”From birth, Little Yu was a bit aloof and didn’t like talking much. We’ve tried various ways to make him more like other lively children,

But Little Yu remained unchanged. Then, this September, when I introduced Little Yu to my friend’s child, he clearly began to open up,

But because of one incident where Little Yu spoke to my friend’s child at kindergarten, your Little Moonlight went out of her way to trouble them. If this were you, would you be happy?”

Old Master Gao’s face also turned expressionless. He pursed his lips and stayed silent for a long time. Elder Xi continued: ”Initially, I thought it was just a minor issue between kids, nothing worth a special trip. But my friend’s child has felt wronged repeatedly by your Little Moonlight, so much so that they don’t even want to attend kindergarten anymore. What should be done in such a situation?”

Alright, Elder Xi pinpointed the issue!

It was a casual remark, but he didn’t realize that Guoguo indeed expressed at home not wanting to continue attending kindergarten, and the root of it lay with the Gao family’s precious one.

”Are you suggesting I transfer Little Moonlight to another kindergarten?”

Old Master Gao said emotionlessly: ”Little Moonlight likes Little Yu and wants to play with him, be friends with him. What’s wrong with that? She’s a four-year-old with no hidden agenda. If I transfer her to another kindergarten, she will cry her heart out, and it would be painful for me to see!”

”Whether or not to transfer kindergartens is your decision, but I hope you’ll talk to your child properly so she won’t trouble other kids because of Little Yu.”

With that, Elder Xi slowly stood up: ”Old Gao, it’s not wrong to spoil children, but if it turns them into little tyrants, it’s not a good thing. I’ve said my piece. Think it over.”

Turning around, Elder Xi opened the study door, and soon his footsteps faded away.

In fact, Gao Xinyue, or Little Moonlight, was very looks-oriented; she liked anyone who was good-looking, regardless of whether they were adults or children. However, she particularly disliked good-looking girls her age and especially those who got close to Xi Chenyu.

The Gao family knew this.

But they never took it seriously.
