Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 1238: Chapter 1192: Kang Li Agrees

”Don’t push it too far!” Lili is pregnant now, is he supposed to tell her to take extra care of an autistic teenager with blood issues on top of her daily routine?

Jiang Boya’s face was so dark it seemed ink could drip from it; he stared intensely at the woman standing a few steps away: ”You’ve seen Lili’s current situation, do you think she has the energy to care about others’ feelings while juggling her studies and taking care of herself and her unborn baby?”

After a brief pause, Jiang Boya continued, ”That child not only has autism, but also has blood function issues. One small oversight could lead to irreparable consequences, a heavy burden that I don’t want my daughter to carry!”

”Mr. Jiang, please don’t be upset, that’s not what I meant, I just hope to bring Allen here to visit Miss Kang Li on weekends.”

Miss Lily explained softly.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Boya remained silent for a long time, then said, ”I’ll consider it.” No matter what, or whether he admits it or not, that child is still his bloodline.

If he truly stands by and watches the child die because of the woman in front of him, to be honest, he’d definitely feel somewhat guilty.

But the question is, how is he supposed to tell his precious daughter about this child, and the woman’s request?

With a frown, Jiang Boya remained silent for a while.

”Thank you!”

Tears welled up in Miss Lily’s eyes, she thanked Jiang Boya sincerely: ”Mr. Jiang, I thank you on behalf of Allen!”

”There’s no need.”

Jiang Boya’s thoughts were interrupted by Miss Lily’s voice; he remained expressionless: ”As for that child, I will not acknowledge him, that is something I hope you remember!”

”Rest assured, Mr. Jiang, Allen is solely my child, and I would never use his background to trouble or inconvenience you in any way.”

Her parents only have one child, and she is still unmarried, meaning Allen is their only grandchild. If... if Allen can recover, then the entire Davis family would pass from her to her son.

Compared to the Jiang family’s development, the Davis family’s might not be as strong, but the gap isn’t significant, and this place isn’t the Jiang family’s roots, the future development of the two families is uncertain.

Moreover, it was her fault back then, and it was her decision to give birth to Allen; in this light, what right does her child have to covet the Jiang family’s assets?

Besides, she never intended for her child to lay a finger on anything belonging to the Jiang family! With a calm demeanor, Miss Lily stated, ”If Allen can regain his health, the future of the entire Davis family is his, so Mr. Jiang, there’s no need to worry about Allen competing with Miss Kang Li for anything.”

”Even if there’s competition, he must have the qualification!”

Jiang Boya’s tone was cold: ”Up until now, I still don’t understand, after such an incident, why did you decide to give birth to the child?”

”I... I didn’t want to get married. That night, a friend took me out drinking, and then spiked my drink without my knowledge; unknowingly, I drank it...”

Miss Lily recounted in detail what happened to her that year to Jiang Boya, and finally said, ”Please believe me, what I said back then was true, and it’s the same now. Entering your room was purely an accident...

I never expected to get pregnant from just that one night; when I found out, I was very anxious, but then I thought maybe this was a gift from God.

I decided I had to give birth to him... and besides, he’s a life, no matter what, I couldn’t cruelly end it.”

After hearing what Miss Lily had said, Jiang Boya’s expression remained unchanged: ”Alright, you wait for my call.”

Downstairs, Allen remained very quiet, but his gaze never left Kang Li.

To this, Kang Li didn’t feel any discomfort. Her expression was gentle, and she chatted with the teenager. Well, she was the one speaking, the boy merely pressed his lips slightly without any emotion as he looked at her.

”Lili, after all that you’ve said, can Allen understand it?”

It was Jiang Hongfa’s voice.

Hearing this, Kang Li slightly shook her head: ”I’m not too sure.”

After a moment of silence, Kang Li mentioned Song Xuan’s case, which greatly surprised Jiang Hongfa: ”Did that child really recover so well that he’s just like an ordinary child?”
