Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 533: Chapter 533: Don’t Want to Give Up Easily

”Alright, alright, I’m a good baby, I’ll listen to Grandma and go lie on the bed once I’ve washed my hands,” Kang Li said with a helpless smile on her face, but her hands never stopped rolling out the dough for dumpling wrappers.

About seven or eight minutes later, Kang Li poured hot water into the basin and added some cold water from the tap to test the temperature until it was just right. She then called out to her three little ones, ”Wash your hands clean, and then you can go play.”

Milk Bun Ming Han: ”Mommy, wash hands together.”

”Okay.”

The dumplings were all wrapped, Kang Li no longer needed to busy herself in the kitchen.

”Mom, I’ve changed the water for you, so you can wash your hands too and rest in your room.” After the kids had washed their hands and gone to play in the living room, Kang Li dumped out the used water from the basin and refilled it with hot water, adding some cold water before speaking towards the kitchen.

”I’ll wash after I’ve tidied up the kitchen.”

Chicken and pork knuckle stewed on two burners, and all the ingredients needed for the evening were prepped. At that moment, Cai Xiufen was cleaning the cutting board when she heard Kang Li’s voice and responded casually.

Kang Li: ”Then I’ll leave the basin outside the kitchen door for you.”

Cai Xiufen: ”Okay. By the way, when will your younger brother and the others probably arrive?”

”My younger brother should arrive around seven or eight, as for Yangyang... he has to perform in a stage play. He’ll come after it ends, so he’ll probably arrive around nine-thirty.”

After placing the basin on the ground, Kang Li said, ”Anyway, we have nothing much to do at home, so let’s just wait.”

”Can Ruirui and the others wait until then? They’ll be hungry,” Cai Xiufen shook her head and said, ”According to our regular dinner time, by then I’ll make the kids a bowl of chicken noodle soup.”

With the chicken stewing in the pot, just adding noodles and pouring over the chicken broth was simple and would tide the kids over.

Kang Li responded, ”Let’s just do as you said, Mom.”

North City Cultural Workgroup.

”Kang Yiyang!”

He was in the midst of the last rehearsal before tonight’s performance when unexpectedly, a colleague in the workgroup relayed a message that a female comrade was looking for Kang Yiyang.

Kang Yiyang thought it might be his cousin coming to the Cultural Work Troupe and without much thought, he stepped out of the rehearsal room. However, the voice that suddenly rang out made him frown involuntarily.

It wasn’t his cousin.

Looking towards the source of the voice, Kang Yiyang recognized the person and instantly, his frown deepened.

”Is there something you needed at the Cultural Work Troupe, Comrade Wang?”

He wanted to pretend not to recognize her, but since she was now standing right in front of him, Kang Yiyang could only look at her indifferently and asked casually.

”Our film factory has already closed for the day, and on my way home I happened to pass by your Cultural Work Troupe, so I thought I’d come and see you. After all, it’s been a while since we’ve seen each other. How is everything with you in the Cultural Work Troupe?”

Wang Min had made a special effort to dress up before leaving her workplace because she didn’t want to give up on pursuing Kang Yiyang too easily. In her view, Kang Yiyang’s claim of not being interested in a relationship for ten years was simply not realistic.

Just think, if you’re unmarried at twenty-four or twenty-five, you’ll be gossiped about by acquaintances, but if you wait until you’re nearly thirty to start talking about marriage, how could that be possible?

With this mindset, Wang Min made up her mind to slowly get in touch with Kang Yiyang, believing that with time, she could leave an imprint in his heart.

By then, she didn’t believe she couldn’t win Kang Yiyang over.

”Everything’s fine with me at work.” Kang Yiyang’s expression was calm, ”If Comrade Wang doesn’t have anything else, I need to continue with rehearsal.”

”Can’t we talk for a bit? Just a few minutes of your time, is that not okay?”

Wang Min’s eyes showed a hint of hurt.

”Minmin, are you here to see me?”
