I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1306: Chapter 1305: Giant Infant

Arriving at Gui Street, Luo Yirui went to their usual hotpot restaurant. Although it was Jing Yuansi’s birthday, they only had a bit of cake and didn’t eat much else, waiting for this meal.

Seeing the crowd here, Jia Xiaoyu was shocked that they actually needed to wait for a table. Is it really this popular?

Seeing the other three looking unfazed, he knew it was normal here.

”It’s the weekend, it’s usually like this,” Jing Changle explained kindly.

Jia Xiaoyu nodded understandingly and sat down with the three, grabbing a small plate of sunflower seeds to chat.

Even though there were several tables ahead of them, their turn came quickly, and the four stood up and followed the server to the square table.

Luo Yirui handed the menu to Jia Xiaoyu, who was a bit flattered. Then he heard Little Fatty and Jing Changle casually blurting out dishes, realizing they didn’t need to look at the menu.

Still, Brother Xiao Rui handing it to him really touched his heart. It felt like a nouveau riche hanging out with a group of the Crown Prince Faction. Although it’s not a great analogy, it’s quite apt.

”Waiter! How can a bunch of kids get a table by themselves?!”

As the four were ordering, a middle-aged woman stood in the middle of the aisle, pointing angrily at Luo Yirui’s table.

”Is there anything I can help you with, ma’am?” The waiter came over and asked.

The middle-aged woman pointed at Luo Yirui’s table again with her index finger, ”Can’t you see they’re a bunch of kids, and they can get a table by themselves? We’ve been waiting forever!”

The waiter glanced at Luo Yirui and the others, then quickly explained to the woman, ”They waited properly for a table. What number are you? Let me check how much longer you’ll need to wait!”

”Don’t bother checking my number; I’ve been waiting forever. How can a bunch of kids take a table on their own!” The middle-aged woman shook off the waiter’s hand, glaring fiercely.

The fierceness didn’t mean she was malicious; her expression just made people feel uneasy and unpleasant to look at.

With a placating smile, the waiter said, ”Well, you see, they legitimately waited their turn. I can’t just kick them out to give you the table.”

The middle-aged woman’s somewhat plump body shifted as she turned to glare at the waiter, ”Is this how you serve people? We adults are waiting outside, and you let a few kids occupy a table. Does that seem appropriate to you?”

The waiter almost lost the smile hanging on his face, thinking, how unreasonable can you be!

”Auntie, do your kids eat off the floor?”

The surrounding people were momentarily stunned, then burst into laughter. Who eats off the floor? Dogs, perhaps!

The middle-aged woman picked up on the implication and turned, ”What did you say? Whose kid is so rude? Whose kid is it? Come out now, or I’ll educate them for you!”

Jia Xiaoyu’s mouth twitched, thinking, does she not fear getting beaten up?

The middle-aged woman was loudly clamoring, while the other diners watched the scene enjoyably, with no one stepping up to speak.

Seeing the situation turning bad, the waiter quickly ran inside to call the manager.

Luo Yirui frowned slightly, annoyed by her sharp, noisy voice, ”You’re at your age, so your parents probably didn’t have the chance to educate you. Out of humanitarian concern, I should help them out. Society can’t keep producing trash, do you think the world revolves around you?”
