She Lives without Regret in This Life

Chapter 1037: Chapter 1096: Full Tuition Waiver

This is the first time Shen Feihu has visited Xu Qigang’s home since his marriage. The last time was a year ago, and the place was so bare it was worse than a dormitory! Now, it has undergone a complete transformation, and his impression of Sheng Ning has changed considerably.

Who says the girls from the General Union Dance Troupe don’t know how to live life? Nonsense.

They took their seats, and Principal Feng explained the purpose of their visit, offering very attractive terms. Tuition fees would be waived, with a recommendation for an eight-year combined Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate program under a renowned professor, and Sheng An could choose which professor she wanted.

She could pick any national treasure-level professor she liked.

Even Feng Xiaoli, the principal’s daughter, couldn’t help but feel envious.

”I’ll listen to my sister,” Sheng An said nonchalantly. These opportunities, which others might dream of, were inconsequential to her.

Several pairs of eyes looked expectantly at Sheng Ning.

”My suggestion is for her to first attend school as usual! As for An’an’s future interests, she should decide for herself. The future path is in her hands.” Even to have reached this point was something she could never have imagined.

Her expectations were not that high.

”Alright, alright, alright...” The principal said ’alright’ several times, then added, ”The school requires that Sheng An must live on campus, and we will arrange for her to have a private dorm room.”

”She can stay at my house, with me,” Feng Xiaoli was so excited she almost jumped up before her father shot her a look to make her quiet down.

”What if you lead her astray?” Though he said this, Principal Feng was quite satisfied with his daughter.

Sheng Ning was also very pleased. Feng Xiaoli was a girl with good family education and a kind heart. What she said yesterday at school in commentary about Hai Lan showed that she wasn’t naïve or blindly sympathetic.

Her analytical skills were impressive too.

If An’an could become good friends with her, Sheng Ning was genuinely happy and felt honored.

”It would be great if An’an could live with Xiaoli, but won’t it be inconvenient to stay at the principal’s house? Principal, rest assured, we will pay rent...”

”No need, no need, it’s settled then.” Principal Feng was more than happy, having such a talent stay at his home was a matter of pride! In the future, those who wanted his recommendation wouldn’t they have to seek him out more?

Moreover, his daughter would have a companion.

”Don’t mention the rent and such. My house was allotted by the state, it’s not my personal property, what right do I have to collect rent?”

”Thank you, Principal.”

Before anyone else could comment, before the Education Committee Chairman could exert his eloquence, the matter was happily decided.

Today, the principal would head back first, and tomorrow Sheng Ning and Xu Qigang would personally take An’an to school.

Before leaving, Sheng Ning packed a lot of food for Xiaoli to take with her. There was beef jerky, homemade canned yellow peaches, spicy peanut sauce, milk candies, sunflower seeds, and the like.

All were prepared with care by Sheng Ning, and Feng Xiaoli was green with envy. An’an’s sister was so good to her, she dreamed of having a brother and sister like that.

After the principal and others left, Sheng Ning took An’an to the troupe headquarters to make a call. Formally entering National Security University was such a significant event, they had to call her parents immediately, and after starting school tomorrow, they should send a photo back home.

”Hello, it’s...” As Sheng Ning was still figuring out how to introduce herself, Xu Yingshan excitedly shouted, ”Is it sister-in-law?”

”Yes, it’s me, yes, it’s me.” How wonderful, at last, it wasn’t one of the troublesome kids answering the call.
