She Lives without Regret in This Life

Chapter 311: Chapter 317: A Showdown of Superiority

“That’s the charm of song and dance dramas?” he said, holding his camera and snapping away non-stop.

“That’s the treasure of Western culture blended into our Eastern thought, simply amazing!” The male reporter with glasses was a bookworm, familiar with both domestic and international art history from his studies at Tsinghua University.

He came to interview after hearing that the General Union Song and Dance Troupe had an artist who had studied abroad, especially to meet them.

Practice had just finished, and it was time for lunch when thunderous applause erupted in the hallway. Everyone swayed and looked at the scene outside, stunned.

Sheng Ning was the calmest, standing in the middle, neither happy nor angry, tranquil as water. She was as touching and elegant as the heroine of “Hope Field”!

She turned her head to glance at Hai Lan and Qin Cuifen, who had already retreated to a corner, her red lips curved up in a beautiful arc.

So, the leading actress of her past life, the star of tomorrow, only seemed so-so now!

Yang Wenying came in with some people and praised them in person, her pride spilling over in her words. After encouraging everyone, she took the reporters to visit the drama society.

After visiting the main areas, the reporters from the labor newspaper interviewed the key figures.

In Yang Wenying’s office, the young man with thick glasses wrote quickly while asking the questions he wanted to know.

“May I ask, President Yang, the General Union Song and Dance Troupe has been quite active recently; are you trying to compete with Qianjin Dance Troupe?”

The question hit the nail on the head; it was clear he had done his homework.

But Yang Wenying wasn’t afraid of offending anyone, she spoke boldly, “Competing isn’t exactly the word, but everyone likes to see a bit of healthy competition.” What’s wrong with competing? Let’s compete then!

Hmph! She, Yang Wenying, hadn’t just started disliking Su Yun. Some time ago, she met with Chairman Meng at the Provincial Rescue Center, and they had a chat.

She just couldn’t stand the hypocrisy of women like Su Yun, who could still manipulate people so skillfully.

“Uh…” the female reporter looked embarrassed, thinking to herself that President Yang really dared to speak her mind.

“This time the Song and Dance Troupe has many outstanding women comrades; after our visit today, we found they are in no way inferior to the Qianjin Dance Troupe’s four flowers.”

“That’s right!” Yang Wenying didn’t even bother to be diplomatic this time, not only did she lavish praise on the outstanding women comrades in their troupe, but even her assistant felt embarrassed for her.

The two reporters were dumbfounded, thinking was it really okay for President Yang to be so forthright?

At the entrance of the Rescue Association, two off-road vehicles charged in at a speed of 120 miles per hour. The comrade on guard duty saw them and his eyes widened in shock.

“Damn! Who the hell has the guts?” A new guard in the security room, not knowing better, shouted out loud, “Dare to crash the gate of the Rescue Association, do they want to end up in front of the union court?”

The old hand looked out, frightened, quickly let them pass, and then turned around to slap the newcomer.

“Are you looking for a beating, kid?”

“You… how can you hit people?” the newcomer’s face turned red.

“So what if I hit you? I can’t hit you now? As a newbie, I should not only hit you, but I should also beat you up.”

“If you dare to hit me again, I’ll tell our squad leader!” The newcomer said, close to tears.

“Go ahead, tell. When your squad leader comes, he’ll hit you too! Look at the state you’re in,” the old comrade said. Just then, a jeep charged in, and he hurried out to greet them.
