Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Haruko’s Three-Step Plan

One finger...

Hearing this, not just Shin, but even the System felt it was a bit much.

It couldn’t help but ask worriedly.

[Host, Shin is a Young Master no matter what. Even if he’s down and out, his influence isn’t small for us. If he chooses to side with Sento, won’t it backfire?]

[You are a bit too impulsive.]

”No, I am very rational.” The alluring red in Haruko’s pupils didn’t fade. ”Shin is too dangerous. I am testing whether he is trustworthy.”

”If he cuts off his finger without hesitation, it means he can go to any lengths to achieve his goal, even harming himself. Such a person will definitely betray me for profit. Shin cannot be kept!”

”If he gives up, it means Shin is weak and incompetent, unable to withstand trials. He will betray me as soon as he’s pressured. Shin cannot be kept!”

”If he uses someone else’s hand to replace his own, it means he is cold-blooded and inhumane. Shin cannot be kept!”

Putting such a person beside Ichiko, will he be my insider, or will he become someone else’s insider in the future?

The male lead in a female-oriented novel is not someone to be trifled with.

If Shin discovers that I am not a yandere, will he still choose to side with me like this instead of choosing Ichiko?

Pressure must be applied!

And Shin indeed felt the pressure given by Haruko. Holding his phone, he felt a chill rush straight to his head, his scalp tingling!

He had truly seen the ruthlessness of a yandere.

He repeatedly warned himself that he must grasp the right measure before interacting with the yandere.

But he still didn’t expect Haruko to be so vengeful!

A finger... He himself felt scared.

But Ichiko’s mysterious old man was the only help he had been able to find in years!

After Shin glanced at the fruit knife on the table, he took a deep breath.

”Haruko, can I apologize in a different way?”

The scar on his face was already affecting him enough; losing another finger was unacceptable to him.

So he said to Haruko, ”I can carve words on my back with a knife, and I will definitely keep my distance from Ichiko from now on. This is truly, truly the last time!”

Without shedding some blood, it seemed impossible to appease Haruko, this yandere.

The little thought he had of controlling Haruko using Ichiko also vanished without a trace.

One accident could lead to losing everything!

A yandere’s way of acting is too unpredictable.

Shin’s proposal was unexpected by Haruko, but she still agreed. She was weak and lacked support, and the help of this male lead was indeed indispensable.

After hanging up the phone, Shin sat on the chair and let out a long sigh.

He knocked on the table, and a bodyguard came in through the door. ”Young Master, what are your orders?”

”Help me write a few words on my back.”

The bodyguard was startled, then turned to walk out. ”Okay, Young Master, I’ll go get a pen.”

”No need.” Shin pointed to the small knife on the table. ”Just carve it with the knife. You can use some force, I can bear it.”

The bodyguard’s face twitched, and he shakily picked up the small knife.

He wouldn’t be thrown into the river just for carving words, would he?

After much hesitation, the bodyguard still asked, ”Young Master, do you really want to carve it? It will hurt a lot.”

Shin replied while unbuttoning his shirt, ”Don’t worry, I won’t blame you.”

Bodyguard: ”Then...’Serve the country with utmost loyalty’?”

Shin: ”...”

He gave the bodyguard a deep look. After a long silence, he said resolutely, ”eternal unlove for tao. Just these four words.”

Having been in contact with Ichiko for about three months, he actually had a little fondness for this cheerful and beautiful girl in his heart.

But for that position, this little bit of fondness could only be personally erased by himself!

His resolve turned into determination. Shin reached out and grabbed the corner of the table, letting out a loud yell to embolden himself. ”Come!”

Before long, pig-like screams echoed from this office.

Later, a rumor emerged from who knows where—it was said that Young Master Shin was gay and had office romances with a group of bodyguards in suits!

Naturally, this was all later.

After dismissing Shin, Haruko looked back at her room.

Today is the last day. Tomorrow, Ichiko’s leave from various places will end.

After being missing for three days, no matter what, Haruko couldn’t keep letting her stay at her house.

In the evening, it was time to end this wonderful period.

”Unexplainably reluctant.”

Haruko walked towards the room, sighing inwardly.

She thought, how wonderful it would be if things could stay like this forever, being locked in a small room with Ichiko, cuddling together for a lifetime.

[Host, the goal this time hasn’t been achieved yet, has it? Is half a day enough?]

”Barely.”

In Haruko’s plan, the first step was to make Ichiko change her mindset.

She couldn’t have the idea of treating the yandere and changing her back into the kind of good sister relationship they had as children. If this idea persisted, that feeling would never turn into love.

Currently, this step is almost complete.

Once I use Dr. Kaito’s identity to guide her, treating the yandere will turn into enjoying the yandere.

And the second step was naturally to make Ichiko not resist me.

From the changes in taste starting with food, to me being the only one.

Undoubtedly, this step was the most successful.

The blurring of external time, the oppressive space, and the extremely distorted feeding methods meant that two days outside probably felt like nearly a week to Ichiko.

Everything she came into contact with was under Haruko’s deliberate guidance.

The food looked fresh, but it was actually spoiled, coupled with the oppression brought by her yandere transformation.

Nothing around her was normal.

Such a Ichiko, when tense, would find it difficult to think and would instinctively cling to Haruko as her last straw.

After three days, coupled with Haruko’s active and forceful ’treatment’, it had happened dozens of times, of varying lengths.

And after Ichiko stopped resisting me, it would be the final step of the plan.

To make her develop feelings towards me in a romantic direction!

Spending three days in torment to fall in love with someone was truly a pipe dream, so Haruko set her goal very low.

As long as Ichiko felt conflicted and had some fondness for me, that would be enough.

Now, it’s time to carry out this step in the last half day.

Then, release her when the time is right.

Planning thus in her heart, Haruko opened the door, only to see Ichiko standing by the door, looking startled and guilty.

She was eavesdropping.

Unfortunately, the room’s soundproofing was very good.

Haruko smiled faintly, ”What are you doing, Ichiko?”

Ichiko quickly took a step back, guiltily shifting her gaze to the side. ”N-Nothing... I was just thinking about when Haruko would be back.”

Haruko didn’t expose her lie but happily took her hand. ”Ichiko, do you like me that much? You were looking at me with such scared eyes before.”

”I...”

Ichiko was momentarily speechless, unsure how to explain.

Even now, she still felt a little scared of Haruko.

But aside from the fear, there was more of a complexity of various emotions mixed together.

Is there really a possibility for me to get out now, or will I have to stay here for the rest of my life?
