I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 308: Chapter 308: Uproar Across the Field! The Intruder of the Divine Forbidden Area!

Now he has a hundred billion chips in his electronic account.

There’s no need to go to the counter to exchange for marbles anymore.

Everyone has a direct option to exchange at their seat.

Open the exchange list.

Lin Yi saw the ratio.

10,000 chips exchange for 1 marble.

Lin Yi clicked his tongue.

This ratio is a bit too exaggerated.

Although it is temporarily unknown whether the value of this universe’s currency is equivalent to Blue Star currency.

But 10,000 chips, equivalent to only 1 marble, means my hundred billion only amounts to a million marbles.

If I pour all my money into it.

It can only reduce the probability of breaking through the Infinite Oasis to one in 9,264.

Just as expected, it’s the 27th level.

Those who come here to gamble are indeed not ordinary people.

Who would normally spend 10,000 bucks for one marble?

And this is just the most ordinary marble!

That’s right, this Infinite Oasis allows you to choose from three types of starting marbles.

The 10,000 per marble is the most ordinary specification.

The appearance is black, made of some metal.

This marble is the heaviest.

The other type is a lighter aluminum alloy silver marble, lighter in weight but the same size as a regular marble.

However, the exchange price jumps from 10,000 to 20,000 per marble.

Lastly, there are custom blue gel marbles.

These marbles have a lighter weight and better elasticity.

They have a miraculous effect in certain levels.

But the exchange price skyrockets to 50,000 per marble.

Lin Yi looked at the exchange interface in front of him.

After a brief contemplation, he drew out a full five billion.

Bought 50,000 ordinary marbles.

Anyway, I’m using gravity skills to cheat.

No need to buy any flashy stuff.

Then he set the marble firing speed to 10,000 per minute.

With a clang~

After the exchange was complete, Lin Yi saw countless black marbles pouring down into the transparent marble chamber beneath his seat.

Then, Lin Yi pressed the largest red button on the console in front of him.

Doo doo doo doo...!

Instantly, the marble machine below started spewing marbles like a machine gun.

Countless marbles turned into afterimages, flew over the starting track, and raced towards the first level area, the Quicksand Zone.

The first few hundred marbles launched faced their first hurdle after leaving the initial track.

It was a Z-shaped swinging arm that Lin Yi couldn’t control. The marbles hit the arm at a constant speed, and some marbles bounced off the bottom of the arm to the side into a quicksand trap hole, disappearing.

Another part hit the left part of the arm and flew into the normal track on one side.

Lastly, a tiny part of the marbles were hooked by the lower half of the Z-shaped region, delivered to the shortcut track on the right.

This track visibly had fewer traps and mechanisms.

These were the marbles most likely to enter the next area.

After really getting the hang of this game, Lin Yi finally experienced the charm of this marble machine.

These marbles shooting out from the starting track.

Aren’t they like travelers stepping into the vast desert for the first time?

The travelers hear tales of oases in the desert and embark on their journeys.

Most of them end up stuck in quicksand, becoming bones in the sand.

Another part of them walks the paths opened by others, facing endless challenges and obstacles ahead.

A very few, who prepared in advance, enjoy a relatively smoother journey.

Immersion.

That’s right, Lin Yi instantly grasped the core of this game.

It’s the immersion.

Players will see themselves in those marbles.

They hope to take shortcuts.

And then pass smoothly into the oasis to gain true treasure.

Lin Yi was no exception.

He also put himself in those marbles entering the shortcut track, paying no attention to what happened to the marbles on the normal track.

Unless a rare few of them really broke through to the second zone.

A minute passed.

Of the 50,000 marbles Lin Yi bought, more than 10,000 were fired.

But among those Lin Yi was watching, only two or three hundred marbles made it to the second Gobi Zone.

The second Gobi Zone had very few quicksand trap holes, almost none.

But it had many horizontally placed wind walls.

These wind walls significantly slowed down those marbles on the shortcut tracks, without long tracks for acceleration.

The marbles that were too slow started sliding back.

Fell back to the Desert Zone, finally devoured by the quicksand hole.

On the other hand, those that followed the normal route, with great luck: the ones that dodged the quicksand devour had a whole stretch of straight acceleration track.

In addition to their weight, they could easily break through the wind walls’ obstruction.

The Gobi Zone’s wind walls and uncontrolled swinging arms.

Caused half of the marbles in this area to suffer losses again.

Finally, Lin Yi only saw a few dozen marbles, luckily reaching the third zone - the Rapids Zone.

Rumbling sounds...

Lin Yi heard the roar of water in his ears.

The so-called Rapids Zone is a narrow yet very fast-flowing waterway.

The designer of this machine cleverly added real scene recorded water sounds to the player’s console.

Every time a marble reaches this area, it plays this sound.

The immersion is overwhelming.

The entire rapid waterway does not descend.

It keeps climbing upwards.

Because the front is the fourth zone, the Cliff Zone.

Marbles can only follow this gravity-defying giant river to have a chance to reach the peak.

But this time, Lin Yi finally realized why those lighter marbles are more expensive.

The wind walls of the second level are hard to bypass with too light a marble.

This third level is the opposite.

If a marble is too heavy, the water’s thrust is not enough.

Marbles that weren’t fast enough previously, in the Rapids Zone, would uncontrollably start to fall after climbing some distance.

Those that had enough speed previously, in the Rapids Zone, would encounter many rocks on the riverbed.

As long as they hit these rocks.

The speed will greatly decrease.

The final outcome remains a fall.

Of the first wave of a few dozen marbles that rushed here, Lin Yi found almost none spared.

All are doomed.

Lin Yi knew it was time to act.

Otherwise, with the type of marble he bought.

Out of 50,000 marbles, maybe only a dozen could luckily rush to the Cliff Zone.

Domain expansion!

Lin Yi refocused on the previous Gobi Zone.

The marbles that made it through the Quicksand Zone, under Lin Yi’s gravity control, deliberately avoided deadly trap hurdles.

Rushed into the Rapids Zone.

At the same time, Lin Yi multitasked.

Spent another 2 billion to purchase a new batch of marbles.

This time, all three types of marbles were included.

The marble machine is a game of probability.

Even with cheating, Lin Yi couldn’t just control one marble to clear all levels and enter the oasis.

That’s too fake.

The real approach is to control a portion of the marbles, having them cut through all obstacles amidst a cover of massive cannon fodder marbles.

Doo doo doo doo!

Lin Yi increased the marble firing speed to 30,000 per minute.

At the same time, all three types of marbles rushed out of the tracks.

Making countless tracks in front of Lin Yi entirely bustling.

Creating a dizzying sight.

A few minutes later.

Dong!

Dong!

Dong!

Three drum-like sounds boomed.

Then came an exhilarating music with a tight rhythm.

The whole Infinite Oasis also lit up entirely.

The marquee lights and countless visual effects were maxed out.

Other players besides Lin Yi were all shocked.

They even stopped their operations!

Because this music along with the oasis’s flashy effects only meant one thing.

Someone’s marble has broken into the final challenge!

Oasis Zone!!

This is the Divine Forbidden Area!
