I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 153 153: First Experience with Space Magic! Heaven-Defying Magic Talent!

The original team of 10 members was suddenly reduced by four.

Only six remain.

Lin Yi checked the personnel list one by one.

There are 2 second-year students and 1 third-year student from Qilin Academy.

Xuan Dao Academy was only represented by Shi Yi.

After exchanging occupations, Lin Yi had a rough idea of their strengths.

Soon, the six left Tianhe City.

A vast, desolate wasteland appeared before everyone.

Tianhe City has always been one of the rare valley regions in the entire Southern Border Plateau.

Once out of the city, itʼs all wasteland and high, cold mountains everywhere.

Lin Yi tapped the spirit crystal watch provided by Shenxiaoʼs faculty, and an aerial map of the terrain appeared before him.

”We are currently about 1200 kilometers away from the mission target location.”

”Does everyone have the means to fly?”

Once out of the city, they could naturally use their flying skills.

Lin Yiʼs main inquiry was directed at the three students from Qilin Academy.

”Captain, flying over would still take too much time.”

”Let me use my teleportation instead!”

A short, somewhat chubby boy suddenly spoke up.

Lin Yi looked at the person, named Feng Sanyou, like himself, was a mage, only this guyʼs first skill awakening was a space attribute skill.

Throughout Xia, mages who can master space attribute, this SSSR-level rare professional branch, are very few.

As Feng Sanyou spoke, he pinched a seal with his left hand, brought his index and middle fingers of the right hand together, and began drawing circles in the air.

Dull blue spatial ripples spread out, and the next moment, a space wormhole the size of a barrel was summoned by him.

The wormhole floated in mid-air like a completely transparent bubble.

From any angle, one could vaguely see the scene on the other side of the wormhole.

Lin Yiʼs eyes lit up.

Even the well-informed Nangong Ling was marveling in amazement.

He didnʼt expect Qilin Academy to have such a promising student mastering space magic.

With Shenxiaoʼs upper echelonʼs habit of recruiting talent and letting none slip through, how did they miss him?

Seeing everyoneʼs gaze, Feng Sanyou got a bit proud.

”Just a little trick, a small display of our skills in front of Mr. Lin, hehe.”

Lin Yi laughed and said, ”Donʼt be too modest, itʼs precisely because of our various strengths that we team up to do tasks together. Though I donʼt know this skill, I must ask, where is the opening on the other side of the wormhole?”

Feng Sanyou replied, ”Near Heshuo County, Iʼve checked our mission map, and this small county town is the closest pre-human settlement to the Descent Abyss dungeon eruption.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Yi nodded internally.

Heshuo County, in the early years of the Catastrophe Era, was one of the many small base cities on the Southern Border Plateau.

Because the environment deteriorated over time, coupled with terrifying beast tides running rampant everywhere in the Southern Border, it was naturally abandoned.

At this moment, itʼs estimated that Heshuo, this former human settlement, has long been overrun by monsters.

Lin Yi couldnʼt determine whether there was danger near the wormholeʼs other opening, or if monsters were already lying in wait there.

But compared to spending a lot of time flying there,

going through the wormhole is certainly much faster.

Space attribute…

Lin Yi felt a bit envious.

He didnʼt know when heʼd have the chance to acquire this ultra-rare skill branch.

”Without further ado, letʼs set off.”

”Iʼll go first.”

Lin Yi planned to take the lead.

After all, he was the team leader, and with his strength, even if Feng Sanyou led them into a nest of a beast tide, he could clear everything with a large range skill.

”Uh… Sanyou, this wormhole is rather small, can you enlarge it a bit more?”

As Lin Yi approached the wormhole, he realized Feng Sanyou didnʼt have any intention of enlarging it to let him through.

Turning around,

he saw the latterʼs face had turned bright red with strain.

The other person from Qilin Academy who came with Feng Sanyou turned dark in the face and reprimanded, ”Sanyou, you incompetent fool, stop pretending in front of the captain when you canʼt do it.”

”Look at this dog hole youʼve opened, can you even pass through it yourself?”

Feng Sanyouʼs face reddened even more.

The little chubby felt a bit wronged.

It wasnʼt his fault that he wanted to contribute too but could only make it this big!

”Haa—!”

Feng Sanyou yelled, seemingly giving it his all.

Then, Lin Yi saw the barrel-sized wormhole begin to expand slowly.

But just as he was about to go through,

Feng Sanyou coughed violently a few times, and the wormhole shrank again, even smaller than it was before.

”What an embarrassment...”

The third-year senior from Qilin Academy couldnʼt bear to watch anymore.

He sighed, palm on his forehead.

Nangong Ling watched from the side.

Now I understand why Shenxiao didnʼt make an offer.

Turns out this chubby guy only has luck, but his space attribute qualifications are really a pity...

”No... no more...”

”I, I canʼt hold it...”

Little chubby Feng Sanyou panted heavily, watching as his summoned space wormhole was about to shrink to disappearance.

Lin Yi stepped forward, placing a hand on Feng Sanyouʼs shoulder, and said sternly, ”Sanyou, hold on a bit longer.”

After acquiring the skill [Bestowal of Heavenly Truth], and along with [Eye of Omniscience].

Lin Yi could now understand magic on a level far beyond Feng Sanyouʼs comprehension.

He could clearly see that when Feng Sanyou was yelling nonsensically, his affinity for space attribute was increasing by a few percentage points.

What followed was his own reckless actions that nearly made the magic collapse.

Now, he only needed to guide the chubby guy a bit, steering him in the right direction.

He believed Feng Sanyou could still regain his original feel for it.

”Yes, first maintain the input of magic power. It must be stable, not sporadic; you have to practice this.”

”Then the distribution of magic power used to open and expand the wormhole is completely different.”

”Here, here, allocate a bit more.”

”You need to consider the whole wormhole as a unity; if you only focus on enlarging the opening, it remains narrow inside, which is meaningless and renders your previous efforts useless.”

After four or five sentences.

Little chubby Feng Sanyou was shocked to find that he was maintaining the magic according to Lin Yiʼs advice.

He instantly wasnʼt as exhausted and even began to expand the wormhole!

At the same time, Lin Yi gradually started to understand how space magic actually worked.

This could be regarded as his first real experience with space magic.

Both of them benefited greatly.

”Cap- Captain! Youʼre amazing!!”

”Whoa, a revelation, I say!”

”Youʼre a better teacher than ours!”

Little chubby Feng Sanyou was ecstatic beyond belief.

The other members exchanged glances.

They were all secretly astonished.

A good fellow, a chubby guy who has owned space magic, practiced for at least two and a half years.

His understanding of this branch was inferior to Lin Yi who barely glanced at it?!

This is the legendary, one-in-a-million magical genius!

No wonder, he is the strongest newcomer in Shenxiaoʼs history, a monster among monsters!
