Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

252: Chapter 252 The Human Race’s Southern Heavenly Gate SystemTiezhu returned to the Lunar Base, leaving behind its memory card.

Jiang Chen released the video captured on its memory card, which showed the Ascension Star being seemingly swallowed by a black hole, to the conference.

”The Ten Core Principles of the New Order were drafted by me previously. The reason they must be modified now is purely due to an unforeseen event.”

”The planet you see—the older generation might remember it—is called the Ascension Star. Fifty years ago, it was about four light-years away from Earth, and it was the direction in which the Lighthouse previously fled.”

”However, this planet was swallowed approximately four years ago.”

”This footage was captured by the Lunar Base’s observational outpost ten minutes ago.”

Not long after Jiang Chen released the video, Zhao Yinhu also received the relevant information.

”As the Dragon Emblem of the Lunar Base, I can guarantee that this video is authentic.”

Zhao Yinhu was not surprised that Jiang Chen knew about this news earlier than he did. After all, Tiezhu’s underlying protocols were written by Jiang Chen years ago, though Tiezhu had self-evolved for so many years that even Jiang Chen could no longer understand the bugs within it.

Of course, even with bugs, Tiezhu still notifies Jiang Chen immediately whenever it encounters an emergency.

With Zhao Yinhu’s corroboration, the venue was in an uproar.

”The Ascension Star vanished in just a few seconds? Besides a black hole having such immense pulling force, no other celestial body could possibly do that, right?”

”The main issue is that the distance is too close. If the Ascension Star can suddenly disappear, once our Solar System reaches that region of space, it will also be swallowed instantly.”

”I made a rough estimation: in about five or six hundred years, the planetary structure of the Solar System will collapse. As for when it will be swallowed, that depends on the specific location of the black hole...”

”This is too terrifying. The current trajectory of the Solar System leads to a dead end! We must change the current orbital path of the Solar System.”

”How do you change that? Are you going to move the black hole, or push the Solar System away?”

”When it comes down to it, we still need top-tier powerhouses to do this work; ordinary people, in the end, cannot be relied upon.”

The last sentence was spoken by Xu Qingxue. A faint smile played at the corners of her mouth.

Jiang Chen’s previous New Order was actually a distribution system that favored ordinary people.

If it were a time of peace, that would be fine; we could just endure it. But now, the Ascension Star has already been swallowed, and the Solar System is on the path to doomsday, advancing at a speed of 220 kilometers per second.

Continuing to tilt resources toward ordinary people is a sheer waste! We must concentrate 90% of resources on the top one hundred individuals on the lifeform rankings for humanity to have any hope.

”Comrade Jiang, I hold your distribution system in high regard. However, now that the Solar System is in imminent danger, is it not a bit unreasonable to continue tilting resources toward ordinary people?”

Xu Qingxue stood up. As soon as these words were spoken, the people at the venue fell silent, their eyes flickering as their stances seemed to waver.

However, Jiang Chen did not alter his judgment. He asked, ”Ms. Xu, are you suggesting that we tilt resources toward high-level lifeforms and then have those high-level lifeforms move the black hole? Aren’t you being too naive?”

Jiang Chen knew from the system that the ancient giant god ’Kuafu’ had slapped the sun aside, but even he was helpless against a black hole.

Although Jiang Chen did not know what level of lifeform Kuafu was, being able to forge a divine hairpin near a neutron star and a black hole was an existence that absolutely exceeded his imagination.

Even such an existence could not exert force on a black hole. Xu Qingxue’s idea was purely wishful thinking.

Jiang Chen was naturally unwilling to concentrate 90% of humanity’s resources on such a naive fantasy.

Xu Qingxue’s expression shifted; she certainly knew that a black hole was a cosmic-level miracle, not something a mere mortal could deal with.

However, she still clung to a glimmer of hope. She said persuasively, ”You are already a Level 3 Lifeform; this level of life is almost comparable to gods. I do not believe that Level 5 or Level 6 lifeforms could not deal with a black hole.”

”Even if they cannot deal with the black hole, they must be able to change the movement trajectory of the Solar System.”

Xu Qingxue still held a worshipful, almost religious belief in high-level lifeforms. She believed that once humans evolved to a certain degree, they would definitely be able to master the universe.

This was also the reason why she did not pay too much attention to scientific research investment or industrial upgrading. Science and technology were ultimately limited. Only the mysteries of the human body were infinite.

The ultimate end of the universe must be humanity standing at the very pinnacle. Humans can conquer nature!

After listening to Xu Qingxue’s fanatical boasting, Jiang Chen frowned and said, ”Ms. Xu, I never underestimate human power, but do not be too arrogant. The universe is not as simple as you say; after all, humans are also evolved from the universe.”

”I am supportive of the life evolution path that Ms. Xu mentioned; otherwise, I would not have gathered so many people.”

”However, I still hope everyone will persist with the technology route. The essence of technology is discovering the laws of the universe. The human evolution route is just a part of the universe’s laws; it is a relationship between a subset and a superset. Do not get the relationship backward.”

”Furthermore, do not try to elevate life evolution to the status of divine power for the sake of your own interests.”

”Life evolution is also based on the laws of the universe.”

”Take speed, for example. As of now, the Matter-Antimatter Annihilation Engine has reached one percent of the speed of light, and magnetic field transition technology has reached one-sixth of the speed of light. No lifeform can achieve this speed on their own.”

Jiang Chen’s voice was resonant. Although he was already among the top-tier lifeforms of humanity, he still believed that the technology route was what could lead humanity to more distant worlds.

Upon hearing this, Xu Qingxue’s expression shifted. It was common knowledge that, as of now, a Level 3 Lifeform could not exceed the third cosmic velocity.

But human technology vaguely possessed the power to advance toward the speed of light. This was indeed an undeniable fact.

”I will say it again: both evolution and technology are needed. You need to grasp both. Even more so, you cannot dump all resources into just one of them.”

”Even if, many years from now, humans truly produce Level 5 or Level 6 lifeforms, how can you guarantee that they won’t abandon all of humanity and run away on their own? That is not a good idea.”

Jiang Chen rejected Xu Qingxue’s idea of once again concentrating 90% of resources on the top one hundred of the lifeform rankings.

Xu Qingxue sat down, no longer arguing. Jiang Chen himself was a Level 3 Lifeform, but he could not reach one-sixth of the speed of light; this was a fact.

In other words, technology still had a huge role to play. At the very least, it could lead humanity toward the speed of light.

Once they truly approached the speed of light, humanity transforming into a fleet civilization and wandering the universe would also be a way for the fire of civilization to survive.

However, this method was too long, and resources would be dispersed. She feared that her Xu Family Faction would gradually weaken under this type of distribution. After all, the expansion of any faction stems from the concentration of resources. Once resources cannot be concentrated, a faction will inevitably decline.

”So, Comrade Jiang, are you planning to overturn the previous Ten Core Principles, or...” Zhao Yinhu looked at Jiang Chen and asked in return.

Jiang Chen shook his head: ”I don’t intend to overturn them, but I must add one more: the eleventh principle regarding the survival of the fire of human civilization.”

”This principle, where technology and evolution go hand in hand, will take precedence over the previous ten core orders. All orders must develop around this one.”

”Of course, to ensure the supremacy of this principle, I personally advocate for the establishment of a supreme human organization. This organization will be called the Southern Heavenly Gate.”

”The Southern Heavenly Gate is a gate from ancient Dragon Kingdom mythology, used to keep out alien races and dangers. Humanity now needs to exclude the black hole from the path ahead.”

”Of course, this is my personal naming choice; you may also propose names. We will decide by a vote on the spot.”

When Jiang Chen said this, General Wei, who was far away on the Luan Bird near the sun, sensed danger.

The Earth United Fleet was currently the supreme organization of humanity, combining political, military, and economic power. With the Luan Bird as its core, its status was naturally transcendent.

Now, Jiang Chen wanted to create a new Southern Heavenly Gate; the status of the Luan Bird and the Earth United Fleet would naturally drop a level.

General Wei immediately spoke up: ”Comrade Jiang, we already have the Earth United Fleet. The Earth United Fleet can also cooperate with the implementation of the New Order. As for the Southern Heavenly Gate you mentioned, wouldn’t its functions conflict?”

”The Earth United Fleet is essentially a military organization and should not become the supreme organization of humanity. The Luan Bird should also return to its proper place. In other words, you are an army, not a leadership organization,” Jiang Chen replied to General Wei.

For a moment, General Wei was speechless.

The predecessor of the Earth United Fleet was mostly developed from flight bases, the Ministry of Oceans, and the Space Force. However, as more and more high-level lifeforms joined the Earth United Fleet later on, this fleet became a behemoth that consolidated military, political, and financial power, with complex factional interests and secret infighting among all parties.

In the end, they all turned their gaze toward Earth, constantly draining it. Now that Jiang Chen wanted to establish the Southern Heavenly Gate to override the Earth United Fleet, he was naturally intending to purge these interest groups.

Xu Qingxue was also unwilling. When it came down to it, all this talk of morality, righteousness, and saving humanity was ultimately just for Jiang Chen’s own status. What Southern Heavenly Gate? It was actually just Jiang Chen’s interest group.

Thinking of this, she said sarcastically, ”In that case, the supreme leader of the Southern Heavenly Gate will surely be Comrade Jiang.”

Jiang Chen glanced at her and said calmly, ”Given my evolution speed, I could completely bury myself in evolution and then leave the Solar System with my family before it collides with the black hole.”

”However, my name is Jiang Chen. I am a citizen of the Dragon Kingdom, and I am a part of Earth. If only I and my family were left of humanity, I would find that too tragic.”

”The Southern Heavenly Gate I plan to organize is for humanity to better unite against future crises, not to be my interest group.”

”Additionally, the members of the Southern Heavenly Gate are not just high-level lifeforms; scientific researchers on the technology route can also join.”

”Finally, I am a person who loves freedom. After the Southern Heavenly Gate is established, I will not hold any position within it; I will go on a space tour with my wife and children.”

”Are you satisfied with this explanation? If not, please have you and your Xu Family Faction come up with stronger capabilities and plans.”

Jiang Chen looked at Xu Qingxue calmly. He was not the type of ambitious person who had any interest in becoming the supreme god in everyone’s heart. He just wanted to do a little insignificant work for humanity.

Bang! Suddenly, Old Fungus Lao, who was far away on Jupiter, slammed the table, shattering a stone table, and said excitedly, ”With such awareness, Comrade Jiang, you should be the supreme leader of the Southern Heavenly Gate!”

Old Fungus Lao actually had no great interest in leading mortals collectively toward high-level life. After all, as one of the Three Pure Ones, it had higher pursuits.

But in the words Jiang Chen had just spoken, he vaguely saw the towering figure of another person.

That person had also once led the Southern Heavenly Gate to conquer the Milky Way Galaxy, exhausting themselves for the many immortals and gods, and finally turning into nothingness.

Although the Southern Heavenly Gate Jiang Chen spoke of was worlds apart from the one it had experienced in its past life, it still saw the buds of hope within it.

”Deep space is extremely dark, and the universe is extraordinarily vast. If the human race does not have a supreme leader, it will be lost in the void.” ”Comrade Jiang has this potential,” Old Fungus Lao said slowly.

Once these words were spoken, Xu Qingxue dared not say anything more. Even Elder Li, who was in the top three of the lifeform rankings, had spoken; what else could she say?

Whether Jiang Chen left the Southern Heavenly Gate or not was no longer something she could interfere with.

”Elder Li, you flatter me; it is just a little insignificant work.” Jiang Chen looked at Li Boyang, feeling a sense of familiarity, yet he did not know him at all. He smiled and continued to speak to the crowd.

”As the supreme governing organization, for those on the evolution route, one must be at the peak of Level 2 Lifeform to join. For those on the technology route, one must have made significant contributions to enter.”

”As for the Earth United Fleet, it will be split into the Luan Bird Fleet, Logistics Fleet, Avian Flight Formation, Lunar Fleet, and Earth Fleet.”

”The Starship on Mars will belong to the Luan Bird Fleet.” ”The Tudigong Starship will belong to the Lunar Base.” ”The Starship is currently not yet captured; once captured, it will belong to the Earth Fleet.” ”...”

Jiang Chen spent the entire morning and afternoon discussing in detail with everyone the eleven core principles and fifteen hundred detailed rules regarding the Southern Heavenly Gate system.

A day and a night later, after smoothing out all the details, Jiang Chen announced to everyone.

”Alright, I announce that the first draft of the human Southern Heavenly Gate system is complete.” ”Next, we vote.”

As the big screen displayed it, hundreds of industry giants and high-level lifeforms present and on the cloud conference cast their votes one after another.

A few minutes later, it showed: [Two hundred and seventy-three in favor, two against, one abstention.]

”Passed unanimously!” ”Next, we begin the broadcast across the entire Solar System.”

After the Southern Heavenly Gate system was initially established, Xia Zhongxun announced the start of the broadcast of the on-site deliberations for publicity purposes.

”Luan Bird Fleet, Logistics Fleet, Avian Flight Formation, Lunar Fleet... you handle the on-site broadcast; I am going to organize the Earth Fleet.”

Jiang Chen had General Wei, Xu Qingxue, Jiang Haipeng, Zhao Yinhu, and others explain on the spot what the human Solar System Southern Heavenly Gate system was. As for him, he left the venue.

The Earth Fleet currently had nothing. It only had one Starship designated to the Earth Fleet, and it had run off in the direction of Jupiter. Capturing it back would not be easy.
