Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

178: Chapter 178 Thunder God Strikes, Lightning Goddess Delivers BabyPulled by the Horse Terracotta Warriors, the small fishing boat flew toward Sri Lanka at twenty times the speed of sound.

Zhongsha City is about six thousand kilometers away from Sri Lanka.

And twenty times the speed of sound is roughly 7 kilometers per second.

In other words.

At this speed, the small fishing boat only needs about 800 seconds, or roughly 15 minutes, to reach Sri Lanka.

However.

Jiang Chen was still not satisfied with this speed.

He said to the navigation system.

”Increase speed, increase speed, keep increasing the speed for me!”

”Master, twenty times the speed of sound is already very close to the first cosmic velocity. If we increase the speed by another three Mach, we will start orbiting the Earth!”

”Are you sure you can withstand it?”

The autopilot system responded.

The Horse Terracotta Warriors, combined with the power of the small fishing boat itself, were enough to reach the first cosmic velocity.

It’s just that an ordinary person couldn’t withstand it.

Fortunately.

Jiang Chen was not an ordinary person.

He was a man about to become a father.

”The first cosmic velocity?”

”Hurry up and let me try it!”

Jiang Chen ordered.

Vroom!

Due to the explosion of immense power, the tail of the small fishing boat released blue flames.

The small fishing boat accelerated again.

It reached 7.9 kilometers per second, which is about Mach 23.

It successfully reached the first cosmic velocity.

The so-called first cosmic velocity means that after an object exceeds 7.9 kilometers per second, it can orbit the Earth without any power.

Ordinary satellites initially rely on rocket propulsion to reach this speed before they begin orbiting in space.

And the small fishing boat, relying on the dual power of the Horse Terracotta Warriors and its own propulsion system, also successfully reached this speed.

After reaching it.

The propulsion system stopped.

The small fishing boat continued to fly toward the sky above Sri Lanka at a speed of 7.9 kilometers per second.

Fluffy white clouds flew past Jiang Chen’s ears, feeling damp and moist.

Gazing down at the countless fleeting landscapes below, he felt quite like the Thunder God in the sky.

”The Thunder God?”

”I wonder if the thunder within me, when released into the clouds, would trigger a thunderstorm?”

Jiang Chen had a sudden thought.

Isn’t a so-called thunderstorm just static electricity rubbing together in cumulonimbus clouds, leading to voltage differences, and finally creating crackling sounds?

Thinking this, Jiang Chen released a portion of the thunder in his hand.

The thunder instantly permeated the surrounding cumulonimbus clouds, causing a great deal of friction.

These frictions collided with each other, becoming more and more frequent.

Finally.

A clap of thunder in a clear sky.

A dull rumbling of thunder erupted from a place below.

And this place was exactly on a certain border in the southwest.

A young girl in the field was working!

Suddenly hearing this clap of thunder in a clear sky, she was taken aback.

She hurriedly packed her things and then shouted to a man on the other side.

”Cousin, it’s going to rain!”

The man was practicing the third subject of the bicycle test, and he turned back and said: ”It’s a clear sunny day, how could it rain? I just checked the weather forecast!”

”Didn’t you hear the thunder? This is a sign of rain!”

The girl dragged her cousin away, ”Besides! The weather in the sky isn’t managed by meteorologists, but by the Thunder God and the Mother of Lightning!”

After speaking.

More and more cumulonimbus clouds gathered in the sky.

The oceanic water vapor met the cold and liquefied, and a torrential rain began to pour down.

In the sky!

Jiang Chen didn’t see the torrential rain starting at the southwest border.

After all, he had already flown past at twenty-three times the speed of sound.

As he flew, he released thunder into the cumulonimbus clouds all along the way.

Bang, bang, bang!

Bursts of thunderous sounds echoed across the sky along the way.

In some places, where the oceanic water vapor happened to be undergoing cold and heat exchange, torrential rain started.

In other places, because there was no cold and heat exchange, it just became a clap of thunder in a clear sky, leaving the people below looking completely bewildered!

”This thunder effect is actually pretty good.”

”Add in Xue Yao’s lightning and electric currents... a special effect of a thunderstorm with lightning and thunder would be perfect.”

Jiang Chen was happy with his discovery.

Just then.

The system prompted that he was very close to Sri Lanka.

So Jiang Chen restarted the propulsion and began to fly downward.

[pearl river 888, requesting to dock!]

A radio signal was sent down.

[Received, please land in the designated area!]

After receiving the coordinates.

The small fishing boat descended from the sky, like an alien spaceship, rushing down toward the starboard side of the Sister Li aircraft carrier. Finally, relying on power recoil, it displaced dozens of tons of seawater and hovered three meters above the sea surface.

Jiang Chen quickly landed on the aircraft carrier deck.

Walking while asking the staff officer: ”Where is Xue Yao!”

”Rest assured, Mr. Jiang, our aircraft carrier has the most advanced medical equipment, the best medical corps, a full supply of medicine, and she is very safe.”

The staff officer replied, leading Jiang Chen toward the infirmary inside the aircraft carrier.

”Medical corps? Male or female?”

”There are females too, but according to Commander Qin, she doesn’t seem to want medical corps to help her with the delivery.”

”Doesn’t want medical corps to deliver? Nonsense! Is she going to deliver the baby herself!”

Jiang Chen glared.

The staff officer nodded, ”Yes!”

”...”

Jiang Chen stumbled and almost fell.

He looked at the staff officer in disbelief, then arrived at the infirmary.

At this moment, Xue Yao was eating the restorative tonics prepared by the kitchen staff while taking advantage of her rest to watch Pleasant Goat!

She looked very content, not at all like she was about to give birth.

However.

Upon hearing hurried footsteps, she immediately put on a pitiful face and cried loudly at Jiang Chen, who rushed in: ”Wa! Wa! It hurts so much. I’m about to give birth!”

”Stop pretending, I didn’t hear any crying just now.” Jiang Chen rolled his eyes, sat down beside her, and lifted the quilt. Her belly was only slightly protruding, not looking like a big belly at all.

Jiang Chen reached out and touched it, saying: ”My dear, you still have at least a few months before you give birth, right!”

”No, I feel like I’m about to give birth right now.” Xue Yao shook her head and said. Although she was only more than three months pregnant and her belly wasn’t big, she had a strong feeling that she was about to give birth.

”Really? If you give birth at three months, this child would be way too premature.”

Jiang Chen was a bit worried.

He wasn’t too worried about Xue Yao’s physical condition, but he was worried about whether the child would have brain problems coming out so early.

”Don’t worry, husband, even if it’s premature, it will definitely be fine.”

Xue Yao waved her hands and said, ”Because I can deliver the baby myself!”

”Nonsense! Even for a natural birth, you need a doctor’s help!”

”You forgot, I studied medicine, I’m a qualified medical corps for an aircraft carrier!”

Xue Yao said with a confident face.

As an independent, self-reliant woman in the interstellar era, delivering her own baby... what’s the big deal?

Isn’t it just a matter of having hands?

She had already planned it in her mind: left hand supporting the child’s head, right hand with a scalpel, one snip, and the umbilical cord would be cut, ensuring not a single scar would be left.

”...”

Jiang Chen touched her forehead.

Her body temperature was normal.

She didn’t have a fever either.

But how could her brain let her mouth speak such nonsense.
