Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

166: Chapter 166 Ocean Expansion, Aircraft Carrier Enters PortJiang Chen and Xue Yao returned to the landing point of the Antarctic Continent.

After a round of inspections and replenishment, the aircraft carrier fleet prepared to leave the Antarctic Continent.

Not far away, the group of white engineers watched with complex expressions as Sister Li and Chiyao Aircraft Carrier, escorted by that ’alien spaceship’, departed in sequence.

”It’s one thing to have so many aircraft carriers, but to even have an alien spaceship escorting them!”

”Sigh, the tide has turned.”

”The good old days when a few cannons could blast open the gates of Dragon Country are gone forever.”

They wailed in their hearts.

There was envy, jealousy, as well as resentment and regret.

Inside the command room of Sister Li.

Xue Yao also caught a glimpse of the changing expressions of those white people.

She couldn’t help but radio Jiang Chen: ”Hubby, look at those Western Europeans; they seem very resentful.”

Jiang Chen glanced over and smiled indifferently.

”People are like that; it’s hard for them to see others doing well, let alone people from different countries. But no matter what they think, Dragon Country is simply returning to its rightful place on this planet!”

As Jiang Chen’s voice fell.

The few Horse Terracotta Warriors seemed to sense the emotions of the Spark Inheritor.

They actually couldn’t help but neigh toward the sky.

Emitting the sound of horses.

Their hooves galloped rapidly, suddenly rushing to the very front of the aircraft carrier.

”Hubby, these mecha horses of yours are really nice, they even come with their own sound effects?”

”When can I have a ride!”

Seeing the lifelike appearance of the Horse Terracotta Warriors, Xue Yao couldn’t help but feel curious.

She had seen the mechanical bird.

Other than being too realistic, it wasn’t too strange.

But these Horse Terracotta Warriors were more than just realistic; they were covered in mud, not looking like they were made from the mecha materials of the Longke Academy.

Jiang Chen replied: ”Sure, as long as you’re not afraid of getting mud all over your butt...”

The aircraft carrier fleet gradually sailed away from the landing point.

Heading all the way toward Sri Lanka.

This Sri Lanka was a transit station for the Belt and Road Initiative.

In order to join the Belt and Road Initiative, they did not hesitate to contribute a port for free for the Sister Li aircraft carrier fleet to dock.

According to Xue Yao’s schedule, the fleet would arrive in Sri Lanka in four days.

However.

On the third day, Xue Yao noticed something was wrong.

According to the radar display, the aircraft carrier fleet was still a day and a half away from Sri Lanka.

”What’s going on? According to the plan, aren’t we supposed to arrive in Sri Lanka around tomorrow morning?”

”How is there an extra half day?”

Xue Yao invited technical experts to start checking the radar.

The radar showed that the aircraft carrier fleet was still a day and a half away from Sri Lanka.

But this was clearly wrong.

The aircraft carrier hadn’t stopped in the South Indian Ocean, nor had it slowed down. How did an extra half day of distance appear while sailing?

If it had deviated by a few hours in the previous days, it would be normal.

But now it had deviated by half a day.

This was quite exaggerated!

Could it be that she was possessed by the Clean and Sanitary?

After checking the radar, the technical expert looked up and said: ”Commander, there’s no problem with the radar; the positioning is also accurate, there’s no deviation; the speed is fine too, displaying accurately.”

”Everything is fine? Then how is there an extra half day?”

Xue Yao was a bit dazed.

The staff officers were also discussing animatedly, having never seen such a situation.

Just then.

Jiang Chen’s voice came over the radio: [It’s possible that there’s a problem with the total distance.]

[A problem with the total distance? What does that mean?]

Xue Yao and the others didn’t react for a moment.

Jiang Chen replied: [The speed is fine, the route is fine, but the time has increased by half a day, so it can only be that the total distance has become longer.]

Jiang Chen reasoned based on the formula: distance equals speed multiplied by time.

Since speed and route were both fine, but time had increased by half a day, it could only be that the distance had also lengthened accordingly.

However.

As soon as these words were spoken.

Xue Yao and the others all shook their heads: [This route is fixed. The Earth is only so big, how could it become longer?]

[What if the Earth got bigger? Wouldn’t the route become longer?] Jiang Chen replied.

The Earth got bigger?

Once this answer came out, everyone felt it was even more nonsensical.

Why would the Earth inexplicably grow a size larger for no reason?

However.

Just then.

An SSSSS-level secret telegram from the Naval Department Base came over the radio.

[All aircraft carriers, hear the command!]

[Hurry and find the nearest port!]

[All ships, halt navigation!!!!]

Xue Yao was stunned.

This was the first time she had heard such a high-level secret order since taking office as commander.

Regardless of the specific reason, she immediately commanded her fleet to start accelerating north.

Preparing to dock at the port in Sri Lanka.

Jiang Chen piloted the small fishing boat, flying toward Sri Lanka at twenty times the speed of sound.

During this time, he entered the Nantianmen Project chat group.

Sure enough.

It was already in an uproar inside.

Dragon Cry Commander Long Xiaotian: What’s the situation? We’re still looking for pirates in Somalia, why do we suddenly have to find a port to dock?

Dragon God Commander Li Jing: Yeah, what’s going on? Is the United States’ three aircraft carriers planning to retaliate? Don’t anyone stop me, I’ll be the first to rush up and castrate them.

Dragon Soul’s Commander Yan Luo: Me too.

Naval Department Base’s Commander Tang Ze: Everyone, please stay calm. A few days ago, we received a warning from the Aerospace Base that there would be a major anomaly in the Earth’s magnetic field recently, and as of today, signs have begun to appear. Starting this morning, hundreds of ocean-going cargo ships have already sought help regarding radar positioning issues...

Sister Li’s Qin Xueyao: Our Sister Li also seems to have deviated; we’re half a day late arriving in Sri Lanka.

Commander Tang Ze: No, this time it’s not a deviation. The Earth has grown bigger!

Long Xiaotian, Commander Li Jing, Commander Yan Luo, Qin Xueyao: ???

The Earth has grown bigger?

What kind of sensational news is this?

Commander Tang Ze explained: To be precise, the land has not reacted yet, but the oceans are expanding rapidly, causing global routes to lengthen. At the same speed, you will need to spend more time to reach your destinations.

Once these words were spoken, the entire Southern Heavenly Gate was in an uproar.

Especially those building the Pangu Base on the Antarctic Continent; they were all dumbfounded.

If that’s the case, wouldn’t ocean transportation costs skyrocket?

Commander Tang Ze: It’s not yet certain how much it has expanded. In short, the four great aircraft carriers must hurry and find ports. Do not leave port without my command!

The four aircraft carrier commanders looked serious: Yes!

Ocean expansion—this is no small anomaly.

If it only expands a little bit, it’s fine.

But if it doubles...

Future sailing times, resource replenishment, transportation costs... everything would be affected.

Seeing the content in the Southern Heavenly Gate chat group, Jiang Chen’s gaze also narrowed slightly.

Although he had begun to sense that the Earth was going to undergo a major change since the Dragon Soul got lost.

But he didn’t expect the entire Earth’s oceans to be expanding.

”I wonder how this expansion is happening.”

Jiang Chen murmured in his heart.

If it’s a uniform expansion, then island nations are finished; they’ll be submerged by seawater.

If it’s non-uniform expansion, such as the ocean bulging while the land doesn’t expand, then the seawater will recede, and land nations will gain some territory without seawater.

Jiang Chen didn’t know how the Earth was expanding.

He could only hurry to the land and wait to see the changes on Earth.
