Supreme Sword God

Chapter 518: Chapter 517: Sharpening Its Edge, Sword Successfully Claimed!

When Ye Chen’s hand gripped the hilt of the Jinghong Sword.

Ye Chen felt a deeper perception of this sword’s sharpness.

If this sword were to be drawn, it would be unstoppable!

Ye Chen took a deep breath, his expression becoming serious. He had already begun channeling the power of the Sword Control Celestial Scripture, but he felt a powerful resistance.

This resistance was not the kind of rejection from a Sword Spirit.

Because the Jinghong Sword lacked a Sword Spirit!

This was a pride inherent to the sharpness contained in this sword!

A sword without spirit, with a proud character akin to a pure swordsman!

Ye Chen gazed at the Jinghong Sword for a long time, feeling the sharpness of the sword.

Meanwhile, outside.

Zhang Fu’s gaze was also fixed on Ye Chen, not moving for a moment!

Since its forging, the Jinghong Sword had remained sealed here, always a great regret of the Celestial Soldier Pavilion. Today, would the recently emerging prodigy Ye Chen be able to harness this sword’s sharpness?

The answer was about to be revealed!

He did not want to miss this scene!

In the Sword Pool, others were busy with their own tasks, paying no attention to Ye Chen.

After all, as an hour was nearly up, those who had truly found their ideal sword were few and far between. They all hoped for a stroke of luck in these last moments.

Even Mu Baoming from the Mu Mansion was like this.

Tang Jue from the Tang Family, who did not practice the Sword Dao, also had some expectations.

Ye Chen, who had held the Jinghong Sword’s hilt with his right hand for half a quarter-hour, finally exerted strength with his arm!

”Swish!”

The Jinghong Sword was drawn!

A rainbow light burst forth instantly.

The radiant sword light filled the entire Sword Pool!

The sharpness, like a king among thousands of swords here.

Exclamations rang out.

”Jinghong Sword!”

”Ye Chen found the Jinghong Sword!”

”Such powerful sharpness, that rainbow light is becoming more and more intense, and the sword’s sharpness continues to grow stronger!”

”The sharpness of the Jinghong Sword is starting to resist Ye Chen’s power. This is something previous seekers of the sword had to go through, soon, Ye Chen won’t be able to withstand that sharpness and will have to give up the Jinghong Sword!”

”As far as I know, those who came for the Jinghong Sword never lasted half a quarter-hour, and many ended up with their bodies ravaged by Sword Qi due to defiance!”

Mu Baoming, Tang Jue, and Xu Ziliu stood together.

Tang Jue said, ”I didn’t expect him to really find the Jinghong Sword, but... the sharpness of the Jinghong Sword is truly as terrifying as the legends say...”

Mu Baoming nodded and said, ”My father once said, in terms of sharpness, the Jinghong Sword is not inferior to a Holy Sword!”

”I’m a bit worried about Young Master Ye. Given his approach to matters over the past six months, he will certainly persevere to the end. He’s not one to give up easily. If he suffers from sword-inflicted wounds, even with countless elixirs, it will be difficult to recover by the day of the Cyan Cloud Banquet.”

Xu Ziliu shook his head and said, ”Brother Ye is not an ordinary person, you cannot view him with ordinary eyes. The fact that he found the Jinghong Sword among thousands of swords means he is fated with it!”

The three exchanged a few words and then fell silent, continuing to watch the brilliant Sword Qi rainbow light!

As for Ye Chen’s silhouette, they could no longer see it!

Outside.

Zhang Fu’s pupils suddenly contracted!

He had seen many prodigies claim swords.

But Ye Chen this time was different from anyone else!

Because...

Other prodigies, after taking the sword, would try everything to suppress the sharpness of the Jinghong Sword.

But Ye Chen...

”He is facilitating the perfect bloom of the Jinghong Sword’s sharpness!” Zhang Fu reached a conclusion that even surprised himself.

Ye Chen was not suppressing the Jinghong Sword at all; instead, he was fulfilling it.

This is a great approach.

In reality, it is something many swordsmen can understand.

However, when people come to take the sword, even if they have this idea, they don’t have the courage to do it once they draw the sword out of the scabbard.

Because the sword’s sharpness is too strong!

To facilitate the sword’s sharpness, if one is not careful and is backfired by the sharpness, the consequences are also quite severe!

In the midst of the sword light, Ye Chen.

Did not feel the kind of pressure others imagined.

Very relaxed!

The power of the Soldier Character Secret flowed in the palm holding the sword.

No matter how strong the sharpness of the Jinghong Sword was, it couldn’t resist his control!

Taking a sword is not about subduing the sword, but about being in unity of mind with the sword.

Even if this sword would eventually become part of enhancing the Celestial Mark Sword, Ye Chen was willing to fulfill this sword. Since it had such sharpness, let the sword’s sharpness achieve the most ultimate and thorough explosion!

Half a quarter-hour passed.

The Sword Qi rainbow light continued to increase.

Everyone was stunned.

Ye Chen at this moment had evidently smashed the record of perseverance for those who had previously taken swords!

Another quarter-hour passed.

The sharpness of the Jinghong Sword finally reached its peak!

The people in the Sword Pool could no longer directly face the Sword Qi rainbow light with their eyes, just looking at it made their eyes feel severe pain!

The Second Pavilion Master of the Celestial Soldier Pavilion, Zhang Fu, stepped forward into the Sword Pool.

And at that moment, the Sword Qi rainbow light also slowly dissipated.

A moment later.

Everything returned to normal.

Ye Chen’s figure reappeared in everyone’s sight.

He stood calmly, holding a long sword.

In the hearts of everyone, a highly special feeling arose.

There was envy.

There was amazement.

There was jealousy.

There was admiration.

Even Zhang Fu’s expression kept changing.

Sealed for over six hundred years, the sharpness of the Jinghong Sword was finally mastered by someone.

The one who controlled this sharpness was indeed below the Heaven-Reaching Realm, yet not at the Unity Realm, but at the Mortal Transformation Realm!

Ye Chen ignored the surrounding gazes, looking down at the Jinghong Sword in his hand.

The sharpness of the Jinghong Sword was now restrained.

Yet, as long as Ye Chen wished, the previous sharpness could burst forth at any time!

The sword’s design was actually nothing special, the middle of the blade had a straight, slender rainbow light stretching from the hilt’s connection to the tip, present on both sides.

After examining it.

Ye Chen lightly wielded the sword in his hand.

With a swishing sound.

The Jinghong Sword sheathed.

Ye Chen’s left hand grabbed the center of the scabbard, lifting the sword, and he looked at Zhang Fu, saying, ”Pavilion Master Zhang, Ye Mou successfully took the sword today, and will forever remember the courtesy of the Celestial Soldier Pavilion providing this opportunity.”

Zhang Fu was stunned momentarily, then came back to his senses, saying, ”Ye Chen, I hope you won’t let the sharpness of this sword go to waste. After all, the artifact refiner who forged this sword was a person I deeply admired.”

Ye Chen said, ”I will definitely let this sword’s sharpness shine brightly!”

No matter what, this is just a supreme Dao Sword.

But in my hands, this sword will become part of a Holy Sword, perhaps even a Divine Sword, so it is surely not letting its sharpness go to waste.

Zhang Fu nodded, saying, ”You’ve succeeded in taking the sword, and the hour is over, so follow me out of the Sword Pool.”

Outside.

The gathered strong ones who brought prodigies were waiting eagerly.

An hour had passed.

Those who entered the Celestial Soldier Pavilion’s Sword Pool were about to come out.

The results of taking the sword were about to be revealed.

Did anyone find the Jinghong Sword?

Even if they did, could anyone control that sharpness?

Everyone was very curious!
