Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Su Yue needs to think of a way to try to get rid of this burden.

In Jiangwu City, this beast was holding onto his leg, making it impossible to escape. Now back in the Wet Realm, if Su Yue doesn’t kill him, it feels like a disservice to the innocent lives lost in Jiangwu City.

This person is a Grandmaster, and at the peak of the sixth rank at that. If his strength recovers, Su Yue will feel guilty for a lifetime.

The entrance to the Wet Realm is different from Jiangwu City.

Humans, to defend against the alien races, specifically built the Wet Ghost Tower at the spatial rift.

Meanwhile, on the alien side, the entrance to Earth is in a desolate wilderness with weak Spiritual Qi; the entrance is not compact like a door, but rather very large, with all kinds of swampy quagmires underfoot, emitting a pungent stench.

In the various battlefields of the Divine Land, human corps have already constructed city walls outside the Wet Ghost Tower.

But in Jiangwu City, it remains desolate; Jiangyuan Country simply doesn’t have the capability to drag the front lines to the Wet Realm.

When Su Yue emerged, he was at the foot of a mountain, and not far away, there were some aliens searching for something.

”Follow my command. When I tell you which direction to flee, just run without looking back.”

However, before Su Yue could even stabilize his other foot, the Alien Race Grandmaster on his back urgently said.

This guy is very weak; every word he speaks sounds like he’s hanging himself.

”East!

”Flee into the depths of the swamp, don’t be afraid of drowning, it’s not deep inside.

”Keep fleeing along the Fierce Beast Jungle, and I’ll tell you the escape route.

”If I, the General, can escape this time, I’ll take you as my Direct Disciple and give you countless Spirit Medicines to eat—absolutely better than losing your life for Mao Yao City.”

”Mao Yao City will soon go to war with the Divine Land. With your level, you’ll only die miserably if you join.”

The Grandmaster quickly pointed out the way for Su Yue.

Upon hearing this, Su Yue was momentarily stunned, and waves of shock surged in his heart.

Isn’t Mao Yao City supposed to be confronting Jiangyuan Country?

How could this alien city possibly wage war against the Divine Land?

But he’s a Grandmaster; he shouldn’t be lying.

At the same time, Su Yue looked towards the east.

Indeed.

A boundless black swamp lay ahead, with a rancid, decaying gray mist floating above it, causing revulsion from deep within.

”Run quickly, they’re catching up, why are you still hesitating?”

Black Jin tied himself tightly to Su Yue like a death knot.

His own life, his major plans, were tied to this dazed guy.

Black Jin could tell that this dazed guy wasn’t from the Yangxiang Race of Mao Yao City; he was a foreigner, perhaps just a small fry trying to earn a living.

Such people are easy to manipulate.

”General, will you really take me as your disciple?

”Will you really give me pills to eat?”

Su Yue’s pupils flickered with a hint of greed as he confirmed again.

Even though his own cultivation level was only at the initial stage of the third rank, he still needed to let the Grandmaster lower his guard a little.

After just a few words, Su Yue inferred that this Grandmaster might possess some great secret, if not control some resources.

Especially with the matter of Mao Yao City attacking the Divine Land, Su Yue had to investigate.

Asking one more question might give the Grandmaster some impression of greed.

”I can even take you as my godson; just run.”

Black Jin roared softly.

At the same time, he internally scorned Su Yue.

No wonder you’ve been a low-rank warrior all your life, so shortsighted.

”General, you’re so mighty, why are you fleeing?”

Su Yue ran decisively towards the depths of the swamp while curiously asking.

Actually, Su Yue already knew the answer in his heart.

A falling phoenix is inferior to a chicken.

The policies of the Wet Realm races differ from humans’.

These Grandmasters, while on Earth, reap the greatest benefits and exploit their subordinates layer by layer, behaving arrogant and imperious each day, killing if they please.

When they return to the Wet Realm in distress, they have a hard time seeing good outcomes.

Unless your family has other Grandmasters to protect you, otherwise, you’re likely to not end well.

In the Divine Land, a Grandmaster unwilling to join a war can choose to retire.

But in the Wet Realm, war is a duty; wanting to retire is a crime.

This Grandmaster likely led a solitary life; dragging his heavily wounded body back will only lead to mistreatment, while what he has saved up over a lifetime might be taken away.

Thus, he’s eager to escape.

”People at Mao Yao City are ruthless; they know I have some savings, so they want to take it from me. Run quickly.”

Black Jin hastily said again.

...

”General Black Jin, where are you? We’re here to save you.”

”General Black Jin, the City Lord wants to heal you and give you a reward. Where are you?”

”General Black Jin, we’re here to take you home.”

...

Sure enough, Su Yue hadn’t run far before hearing chaotic noises nearby.

The aliens had previously retreated from the Wet Ghost Tower and been heavily defeated by a Grandmaster from the Wei Yuan Corps, so the troops were quite scattered. Su Yue only managed to shake off the crowd due to his enhanced speed.

Clearly, the aliens had finally snapped back to reality and were now seeking out this troubled Grandmaster.

Unfortunately, Su Yue, carrying Black Jin, had already reached the depths of the swamp.

The Spiritual Qi here was very dense, and there was even an inexplicable miasma causing Su Yue discomfort all over.

But since they had reached the Wet Realm, it wasn’t a time to look for comfort.

In Su Yue’s frantic sprint, they finally arrived at the foot of a small mountain.

A step further would be the Demon Beast Jungle, which Su Yue didn’t dare to venture into. He could even hear the wary roars within the jungle.

The territorial instincts of demon beasts are strong.

As long as you stay at the edge and don’t step in, they won’t come out.

”If pursuers come, use your strongest combat skills to buy me some time.
