Chapter 432: Back to the Academy

(From MCʼs Perspective)

The train starts to leave a few minutes later. Seeing that I closed the status panel and shut my eyes off. I plan on taking some rest while on this journey.

Time passed,

The fortified train reaches the Capital City several hours later. Right after the announcement came. I came to my senses.

When the train comes to a halt. I opened my eyes. I saw people leaving. Then it was my turn.

I donʼt know why? But I get a sense of relief all of a sudden. The Capital Dragon City is way safer than the Weden City.

Here people of our academy are staying in large numbers. So rarely does anyone from outside cause trouble here.

I followed the crowd to the exit. After walking out of the Railway Station. I became hesitant. What am I supposed to do now?

Iʼm confused about my next plans. I have to reflect on something. But this is not the right place to ponder. Then I booked a magic aircraft to the academy.

A few hours later,

The magic aircraft reaches the air space of Yellow River Academy. The magic aircraftʼs speed was faster than I had expected.

I paid the amount. The next second, someone wants to board the aircraft so that they can go to the Capital.

Seeing that I left the place without making noise. Right now, the inner house members are aware that Iʼm not in the academy. So I donʼt want to expose myself.

Shortly after, I reached my dorm room and entered inside. Then I found small dust covering the room.

Sigh~

I have been outside for more than 10 days. I donʼt know what happened to the Sub-Taboo Hall. But because of Senior Gilbertʼs presence. I feel less threatened.

After pushing down these thoughts, I decided to clean. I used the magic cleaners to remove the dust. After making up the bed, I entered the bath.

20 minutes later,

I changed into comfortable clothes and sat on my sofa. I opened the communication watch and logged into the academyʼs social media site.

My feed is filled with notifications. Almost 10 daysʼ worth of notifications were listed. Slowly, I began to read the content.

[Sub-Taboo Hallʼs wizards failed the mission.]

[With that Sub-Taboo Hall accounts for more failure in the mission task.]

[The Elemental Hall surpasses the Sub-Taboo Hall in mission completion.]

I skipped the boring ones and began to scroll down the page. But suddenly my pupils shrink.

I stood up from the couch and began to read the content once more. After scrolling down the page, I read a similar post.

My eyes grew cold. After Bloodline Hall, now the Elemental Hall is targeting the Sub-Taboo Hall.

Donʼt know why? I feel something is wrong. This looks intentional. Most of the online posts are negative. They are damaging the image of the Sub-Taboo Hall.

Perhaps, I should talk to my Senior Sister. She might know what is happening. But before that, I have to sort out my problems.

Strangely, I didnʼt find mention of my name in any of the posts. Itʼs like everyone forgot my existence.

Then I sat on the sofa and pondered deeply. The lunatic old man uttered something like a bloodline. But Iʼm not sure whether he had started the Bloodline Hall or anyone outside of the academy.

Suddenly, a realization dawned upon me.

Why havenʼt I thought of this before? I donʼt know about the identity of the old man. Iʼm still confused about whether he was sent by a dark league or some other force.

Swish~

I disappeared from the spot and appeared inside the Gregor Mansion. Fortunately, I didnʼt burn the corpse.

Iʼm looking at the corpse of the lunatic old man. My eyes immediately looked for something. When I found his communication watch and storage bracelet.

A hint of relief flashes in my eyes.

Itʼs hard to say whether the communication watch is accessible or not. I walked to the corpse and crouched down to remove it.

There is power left in the communication watch. When I tried to access it. The actions were immediately blocked by the restrictions.

Seeing that, I sighed inwardly. But I wasnʼt surprised. From the beginning, I didnʼt have much expectations.

The killer organization must have tightened security. These restrictions must be laid out by them. To find the name of the organization behind that old man.

I must crack their restrictions. Then suddenly a good idea comes to mind. Itʼs been some time since I contacted John Meyers.

If I ask him to crack the restrictions, then surely he will find some way. After gaining some clarity, I decided to contact him later.

Swish~

I disappeared from the spot and appeared back in my room. The Gregor Mansion provides me with so much convenience. It helped me greatly during the missions.

Then I sat back on my sofa and pondered about my next course of action. Now that I have decided to handle the matter with John Meyers.

The next thing is to register as a Core Member.

Then I thought about the status panel.

”System, show me the status panel,” I said to the system.

The status panel appeared before my eyes. Then I saw the number of spells I got. Which is more compared to other wizards.

But still, my weaknesses are obvious. If some higher-level wizards target me, then I have to fight them at long range.

At close range, my low physique strength is quite obvious. After closing the status panel. I fell into deep contemplation.

Suddenly, the image of Lara White comes to mind. She is more talented than me. She should have reached level-5 by now. But why was there no news about it?

A quick glint flashes in my eyes. After joining the Academy, I have noticed one thing. The breakthrough process is not the same for everyone.

There are wizards here whose talents are stronger. But they are taking too much time in breaking through.

I guess only the bloodline wizards are making steady progress. No wonder they have a powerful lobby in our academy.

If I report my breakthrough now, it will raise a lot of eyebrows. Last time, no one came to bother me. But still, I know some people are interested in me.

Either itʼs because of the inheritance of a late gravity ancestor or itʼs because of my fast breakthrough.

So if I announce my breakthrough now, then the hostile forces wonʼt stay silent. What to do? A trace of struggle appeared in my eyes.

For now, I think itʼs best to stay low-key. At least, I wonʼt report it until Lara makes her breakthrough known.

After gaining some clarity, I felt peace of mind. Then I removed these thoughts and sent a message to John Meyers.

After doing that, I immersed myself in reading wizard books.

The following day,

I woke up earlier. Then I started my daily meditation routine. I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion and started to meditate.

3 hours later,

I stopped meditating after reaching the daily limit. I opened my eyes. ”System, show me the status panel,” I said to the system.
