Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 141: Part 1: Star battle platform

Little Star Gate High School,

Class A1,

”You asked me to test Vincent Careyʼs strength. I wonʼt ask the reason behind this. But what is it in for me? ”Easton Brown said.

”Sure, heʼs not a muscle head,” Liam Baker thought to himself.

Since Easton wouldnʼt question him, it made things easier for him.

Liam said, ”When you hit the limit, Iʼll give you a few ingredients for a limit-breaking potion. ”

Easton Brown was moved by Liamʼs offer. Unlike other Wizards, he requires more potions to achieve breakthrough.

Seeing the silent expression of Easton, Liam added further,”It doesnʼt matter whether you will win or lose. When you finish fighting against Vincent, Iʼll give you those promised items.”

Easton Brownʼs eyes lit up with surprise. At the same time, he ponders, it looks like Liamʼs screw has loosened. Why would he lose against the newcomer?

The reason he is hesitating is that this is an unfair challenge. He doesnʼt want to get into any serious trouble because of this.

But right now, he is glad that Liam is only interested in the duel and not in the result. Easton decided to make the newcomer admit defeat. In this way, he wonʼt be criticised much.

After figuring out everything, Easton Brownʼs expression brightens.

”Well, I accept the offer,” Easton said with a smile.

Liam reveals a small smile on his face. Everything is done, he just needs to stand back and watch the fun.

”Vincent, this time I want to see your defeat,” Liam Barker thought to himself.

After making the deal, both of them walked back to the class separately. Liam doesnʼt want anyone to take notice of them. Otherwise,

it would have become pretty obvious. Later, everyone will know. Iʼm the one who instigated Easton to fight against the newcomer.

He wonʼt make such an obvious mistake...

…

(From MCʼs Perspective)

Class A1,

”Brother Vincent, after school you have to come to the restaurant. And donʼt leave straight away without saying anything to me ”Lucas Brad persuades yet again.

”Sigh,”

I replied, ”Alright, we will have a great feast today.”

Fatty Lucas got excited. Seeing that I shake my head slightly, I would love to have a mana-meat dinner at a fancy restaurant.

Who wouldnʼt want a sponsor like Fatty? My life has completely turned around for the good since yesterday. Hence, I wonʼt take any life-threatening risks anymore.

Before getting into the academy, I will spend the remaining days here peacefully.

But just as I was pondering, I felt someone gaze at me. I immediately turned around to look for the person. But unfortunately, I canʼt find the person.

In confusion, I take a glance at Liam Baker and his cowardly group. Those guys are having some conversations with each other.

”Who could it be?” I muttered.

Then, shaking my head, I dispelled unnecessary thoughts in my mind. Then I turned back to minding my own business.

If the person gazed at me for a few more seconds, the system would have probed the person automatically.

But I donʼt have any worries. Earlier, I took down bottom-ranked wizards easily. This time I have a feeling that I can do well against mid-ranked ones.

I also hope for someone to challenge me during combat class. Last, I went to Claudia Gym to get familiar with my gravity magic.

This time there is a huge change in attributes. Instead of going to Claudiaʼs gym, I feel itʼs better to test my abilities against a living target.

One hour later,

the runes class comes to an end. Everyone begins to leave for the combat room.

Seeing that everyone was leaving, I patted Fattyʼs shoulder. Both of us exited the class and headed to the combat room.

On the other hand, Vincent and Lucasʼs leaving is noticed by Liam Baker.

Seeing Liamʼs small smirk, Chrissy Heart was beside him, stunned. She immediately thought of something. ”Liam told me that he has plans for Vincent. What is it? ” She thought to herself.

He quickly noticed her expression. He turned and looked at Chrissy Heart, Bruce Hill, and Mark Spears.

”Iʼve got a huge surprise waiting for you in combat class.” Liam said with a smile.

Seeing his bright smile, everyone was bewildered. When was the last time they saw Liam with a carefree expression?

Bruce and Mark looked at each other in confusion. But Chrissy quickly figures out: what is it all about? ”There is a small calculation against Vincent and it will happen during combat class. Am I right, Brother Liam? ” ”She said in a calm tone.”

Liam nodded his head and didnʼt care to explain anything further.

Chrissyʼs words were heard by Bruce and Mark. They revealed shocked expressions on their faces. ”When did he make this plan? We have never left his side since this morning,” Bruce said in his heart.

Everyone has the same thoughts in their mind. But they didnʼt question Liam, because this place is not a suitable location to talk.

Then Liam and his group walked towards the combat room.

Inside the combat room,

Both of us stood in our usual spots and waited for combat teacher Freeman to come. Then I glanced around me, there were still 20 more people to come.

As usual, only the bottom-ranked wizards came early with us. I knew the routine; the top-ranked wizards would enter at last.

”Tck! They sure have an arrogant attitude, ”I muttered.

But it was heard by Fat Lucas beside me.

He immediately replied, ”Brother, for top-ranked Wizards. The combat class is a waste of time for them. Even if they come late, no one will say anything, and no one is going to challenge them. ”

After saying that, fatty, Lucas glanced around, seeing that students stood a little far away from them.

In a hushed tone, Lucas added, ”There is also one more reason for them to behave arrogantly. If there is a duel between the top 10 wizards in our class, it wonʼt simply be held in this small combat room. ”

Hearing that, my expression changed a little. I asked back, ”What do you mean?”

”Brother, it looks like you still didnʼt care to learn about Class A1. Class A1 is an elite class in our school. The combat power of the top 10 wizards in our class is extremely high. Imagine what would happen if they conducted the duel in this room. ”Lucas said with a smile.

I twitched. Why would I need to notice these wizards? He doesnʼt know about my top grade talent. Thatʼs why he thinks highly of them. Right now, only top talent and above can attract my attention.

It will be a matter of time before I surpass wizards with my middle grade talent.

When it comes to duelling I thought this reinforced combat room was enough for level-1 wizards. On top of that, there is also a silver runic shield to prevent the damage. Wrong? There is something more to his words.

I turned towards Fatty and asked, ”So where will they conduct the challenge duel for the Top 10 wizards?”

”He... He... He...”

”Brother Vincent, you finally seem to be interested in this,” Lucas said with a laugh.

I glared at him, noticing my gaze.

He ”Coughed” and said, ”In order to motivate the rest of the wizard students in A block. Their duel is specifically held at the Star Battle platform of our school. ”

Lucas continues to say, ”The whole duel will be watched by all A-blockʼs students, teachers, and other staff of our school.”

My brain took a few more seconds to digest that. No wonder, I wasnʼt aware of it before. This duel can be watched by only A blockʼs people.

Last time I was in class B6. All of the A-Rank classes were mysterious to me at the time. Now that I think about it, no wonder people are scared by Class A1 Wizards.

There were a total of six classes in the A-Block, from class A1 to class A6. If other class wizard students were to watch such a high-scale duel, they wouldnʼt show any disrespect to class A1 wizards.

No wonder Palmer and Timothy were terrified! Whenever there is a topic about Class A1 wizards, And this Liam is currently ranked 10th in our class.

I believe his duel must have been watched by Palmer and Timothy. Thatʼs why they didnʼt act against Liam.

Tck! What kind of teaching model is this? The school management conducts such duels for motivation. But I believe it is having the opposite effect.

Such a duel will only show harsh reality. Without talent, you wonʼt progress further. Even if other students are motivated to do something, they will soon get hit with the fact.

Then suddenly, I thought about something and said, ”Donʼt tell me! by conducting such a duel in front of everyone. There is no problem for school management to justify their action of providing more resources to Class A1 ”

”Youʼre spot on, brother.” Fatty gave thumbs up.

I sighed internally. There is reason for everyone to give favour to class A1. If there is such a duel happening secretly in their A block, Then what about scholarship competitions? I believe itʼs another method to compensate other blocks in our school.
