Omega Summoner

“My cuts are getting infected by some sort of magic ailment.” Frey stated as she could see that her cuts were not closing up.

The cuts on her body that was done by the Frost High Elf Warrior are freezing over as layers of frost could be seen on top of them. To make matters worse, the cuts are not healing or closing up as the creeping cold is permeating into her body. The Frost High Elf Warrior smiled mockingly as it took quite a while for Frey to even notice what was happening to her body.

“Do not worry as a few more cuts would freeze you just enough to present you as barely alive to your sisters.” The Frost High Elf Warrior stated.

Frey did not even bother to answer back as she did the unthinkable. Frey shattered the frozen flesh herself to expose her flesh and blood before pouring a potion directly at it. She did not do this to all of her cuts but only to the large ones that will hinder her movement.

As soon as Frey forcefully healed her body using unconventional ways, the slowness that she felt weighing on her suddenly became lighter. It seems that the frost covering her cuts were also shutting down her body and telling it to sleep. This is the effects of the sword that the Frost High Elf Warrior has.

The sword of the Frost High Elf Warrior has the power to shut down the biological abilities of living beings. This is also the reason why he was able to trap Frey and Peridot easily when he empowered the Frost Elf Mage earlier. If he did not empower the Frost Elf Mage using his sword earlier, then Frey nor Peridot would not have been frozen solid.

“Your sword is infused with magic that defies laws which means it is part divine. How is a being that is not even a demigod have the ability to wield it?” Frey stated as powers that could affect life already fall into the divine territory.

“Easy. You just need to bastardize the being that you used to worship.” The Frost High Elf Warrior stated as the sword was made of parts of the Winter Tree.

Frey looked at the sword on the hands of the Frost High Elf Warrior and could immediately tell that its quality was higher than the spear that she uses. The Frost High Elf Warrior might appear calm and collected but he is also starting to create scenarios in his head. He might not show it, but he is already a bit worried that he might not be able to deal with Frey alone.

Even earlier when he first encountered Frey, the Frost High Elf Warrior already knew that she was an opponent that might be on equal footing to her. This is the reason why he opted to empower the sacrificial Frost Elf Mage earlier to freeze the area entirely. He already had some form of combat with Frey earlier, but he had a small group that assisted him with defenses.

“Seeing that you are not making any moves, you must also be in a bind on what to do next. Tell me that a proud warrior such as yourself will not suddenly escape with your tail between your legs.” Frey instigated.

“Why would I need to run away when I can easily defeat you here and now!” The Frost High Elf Warrior declared boldly which made Frey smile.

[The enemy has acknowledged.]

[All prerequisites for the skill Arena of the Valkyries have been fulfilled. You can now activate the skill.]

“Thank you for that spirited declaration.” Frey stated as she slammed the short sword onto the snow.

“No! I was tricked!” The Frost High Elf Warrior shouted but both him and Frey were enveloped in a bright light as their bodies vanished from the area they were fighting.

[You have been transported to the Arena of the Valkyries.]

[All special effects of skills and abilities will be nullified in this area.]

[Usage of magic will be restricted to both parties.]

[One can only exit the arena if the other dies.]

[All stats in the arena will be refreshed back to normal.]

Frey and the Frost High Elf Warrior found themselves in a large circular pedestal arena. There are five large pedestals with the middle being the largest of them all and it also houses the arena where the two will battle. Outside of the arena itself nothing as they were basically fighting on large spires that extend to the clouds. Any being that drops from the arena will die from falling as the height is something that even a demigod might die from.

The four other pedestals have beings that are purely there for viewing the battle. Some of the Valkyries could even be seen cheering for the battle to start. These Valkyries are none other than those that have already passed over unto the afterlife and one of their forms of entertainment is to watch fights that occur in the Arena of Valkyries.

“Where have you taken me?!” The Frost High Elf Warrior shouted as he was suddenly in an unfamiliar area.

“The Arena of Valkyries. A place where only one can escape and that is the one that makes it out alive. If you want to escape from here, then you better be able to kill me.” Frey stated as she turned her weapon into a spear once again.

“Then this is where you die. I have been going easy on you earlier as you have a prospect of being a hostage but now that ends. You have signed your own death warrant by dragging me into this place.” The Frost High Elf Warrior stated as the air around him did transform into a more menacing aura.

“You are not the only one that I dragged here to fight to the death. Let me tell you this as one of the rules of this arena is that both participants must have skill level close to each other. This means that I can either kill you or you can kill me.” Frey stated as her eyes became sharper than before.
