Omega Summoner

Chapter 2908: Awakening of the World Tree

The world tree that was supposed to be sleeping suddenly released a powerful blast of holy light that dispelled the tyrannical aura of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. The aura that the Primordial Beast Nidhogg is so confident about suddenly vanished as it appeared on its body. With the tyrannical aura gone, the Primordial Beast Nidhogg is now subjected to Adrian’s summoning once more.

The Primordial Beast Nidhogg could not withstand the assault of the meteors alone even if its body is very sturdy. The effects of all of Adrian’s soulbounds are affecting all of his summoning which means every thing is affecting the meteors as well. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg suddenly looked so pitiful as its body is wrecked while also being heavily weakened by his debuffs.

The players that were only watching from the sidelines before suddenly jumped at this godsent opportunity. All of them charged towards the Primordial Beast Nidhogg even if meteors were raining from the sky. This is the only chance they have to deal as much amount of damage to the Primordial Beast Nidhogg.

Even Hou Yiwei jumped on this opportunity with his guild as he knows how important this turning point is. The fight that should have been difficult for them suddenly turned its tides because of the action of one being. Adrian did not stop the barrage as ten minutes is not a long time when it comes to raids against large monsters like the Primordial Beast Nidhogg but he needed to check on the Daemos Elders.

”Are you three alright?” Adrian asked as he is slightly worried about them.

”Do you think that we are made of paper and weak? Just because you became a True Noblesse does not mean that you can worry about us.” Elder Ascalor stated with a grumpy attitude but he is actually smiling inside.

”Thank you for worrying about us but we did not use all our efforts earlier. We were caught off guard because we did not expect that the Primordial Beast Nidhogg will have the power of the Universal Calamity Typhon.” Elder Koronn stated which caught Adrian’s attention as he remembered that red aura that the Primordial Beast Nidhogg released that practically cancelled the powerful sealing spell of the three elders.

”I was just asking as formality as you might berate me as being cold if I did not. The last time I did not ask... Elder Ascalor basically nagged me the whole day. Also, I know why all of you are holding back because this place would be utterly destroyed if all of you released your limit break skills. We do not want this place where the world tree is planted to suddenly become a wasteland filled with uneven spots of time, space, and force.” Adrian stated as he smiled.

Adrian knew that the Daemos Elders are holding back because he knows how powerful their limit break skills are. He battled them in the Paradox Planes for five minutes but he could barely hold for a minute. The limit break skills of the elders are their trump cards that they can only use when they are being desperately pushed. In fact, the elders would have used their limit break skills if not for his intervention.

”We cannot uproot the world tree as it also serves as an anchor for the world barrier.” Adrian thought as this is a secret related to the world.

The Daemos have always been keeping an eye on the world tree but they cannot always know if there are no problems. Just like what happened to the first world tree, they were too late to notice as it was already corroding from the inside because of poison. The Daemos might have the power to control time, space, and force but they are not invincible and omnipotent.

”Shall we finish the beast off then?” Adrian asked as he looked at the three elders.

As soon as Adrian asked that question, a powerful energy suddenly exploded from the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. Its body that has been tattered down by the players and Adrian’s relentless summoning of meteors suddenly stood up. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg’s body suddenly glowed in its last golden light as its own body recovered almost back to full.

”So, it still has enough of the devoured energy from the mother tree to at least heal itself away from the danger zone.” Adrian stated but that was not all.

The Primordial Beast Nidhogg finally lost its mind as the energy of the world tree that it devoured was the only thing that truly held its sanity in check. As soon as the Primordial Beast Nidhogg was healed, its entire body is suddenly covered in red scales as the energy from its heart manifested strongly in its body. As if trying to find a way to regain its sanity back, the Primordial Beast Nidhogg turned towards the direction of the world tree.

[The Primordial Beast Nidhogg has been overwhelmed by madness.]

[All stats of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg have been increased by 50% but it will receive 10% more damage.]

”FOOOOD! SURRVIVVAAAL!” The Primordial Beast Nidhogg’s heads all said the same thing as they charged towards the world tree as if it abandoned the idea of destroying the world barrier.

Adrian tried to use the meteors to try and stop it but it did not even flinch when it got struck. The red scales on its body made it difficult to be pushed back even with overwhelming force. The Daemos Elders knew what they need to do and that is to safeguard the world tree. If the Primordial Beast Nidhogg eats this world tree then all of them will surely die because the enemy will recover back to peak performance once again.

The Daemos Elders tried using their specialized barriers that could stop lesser gods in their tracks but all of them shattered upon making contact with the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg did not care what it rammed its body into and did not even care if it is getting damaged. All it craved is the energy that made it sane and able to control its power easily which is none other than the pure life energy given off by the world tree.

[Your Chaos Force has run out. All succeeding summoning spells will now cost half their resource cost and cooldown cost as long as Chaos Break: Impetus is active.]

”Not good!” Adrian stated as his unlimited firepower has ended and he has no way of defending the world tree from the Primordial Beast Nidhogg.

The Primordial Beast Nidhogg did not care as its health is continuously dropping because it instinctively know that it will recover once it starts chewing on the world tree. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg charged recklessly but it was effective as it was now fifty meters away from the world tree. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg lunged at the world tree as it was now in range and it salivated at the thought that it will fnally eat the world tree.

What the Primordial Beast Nidhogg did not expect is that the world tree suddenly vibrated as a large wooden hand that is formed from its thousands of roots suddenly emerging from the ground. The large fist suddenly sprouted from the ground and directly hit the body of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. The punch was direct and powerful that it created a shockwave of energy which also left the Primordial Beast Nidhogg in a daze and knocked back.

The Primordial Beast Nidhogg suddenly crashed on the ground as it did not think that such a thing would happen to it. The large wooden hand was not the only thing that is surprising because the world tree suddenly twisted itself once again to create a large avatar. The avatar that it created is a female humanoid that has hair as leaves and a body made of tangled roots.

[The World Tree of the Main World has achieved ascension.]

As soon as the message popped up for every one in the world, the world tree that still looked small compared to the Primordial Beast Nidhogg suddenly started growing until it reached at least a two hundred meters in height. Its large branches also covered half of Neo Alfheim in its expanded state. The world tree awakened just in time before it became food for the Primordial Beast Nidhogg.

The Primordial Beast Nidhogg finally recovered from the attack that the world tree has done but it is now shocked to see a female humanoid made of wood that is the same size as it. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg that has attained intelligence would have retreated if it saw this but it has become mad and reasoning has been clouded. The reasoning is also clouded by a more primal emotion and that is hunger.

”FOOOD!” The Primordial Beast Nidhogg shouted as it lunged at the female avatar of the world tree because it is also brimming with pure life energy. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg has decided to eat the wooden giantess as well.
