Omega Summoner

Chapter 2398: Against the Primordial Beast of Greed II

After Adrianʼs arrows were all deflected, Charonʼs chain erupted from the ground and targeted the two beings that his master has summoned. A powerful yellow energy erupted from Branch Mater Goldenclaw and destroyed all of the chains. Grand Formation Master Keisei immediately controlled his catalyst and manipulated the space around them as he is the master of this formation. A platform suddenly appeared for them to step on as it descended onto the ground.

”It is the same feeling as the skill that I have gotten. It is also the same energy that I absorbed from Lady Goldenclaw.” Adrian thought as he looked at the descending figure.

”When did Branch Master Goldenclaw become a powerful cultivator?” One of the Immortals suddenly stated as they knew that the branch guild master of the merchant guild should not be a cultivator that could easily deflect powerful cursed chains.

”That is not the branch guild master that you know of. He is but a shell as the one inside is no longer the soul of the branch guild master.” Adrian stated.

”If that is true then this should be reported to the Goldenclaw clan!” One of the Immortals stated as it seems he has some connection to the clan.

Adrian wanted to say that the clan members might know that this is no longer the husband of the mistress of the Goldenclaw clan but that is just speculation on his part. He did not want to further implicate another clan as that would just complicate things even more. Adrian just decided to see what the branch master would do with what he just divulged.

”Surely, all of you do not believe that demon over me! He sent us here in such a perilous place.” Branch Leader Goldenclaw stated as he pointed at Adrian.

”Oh! I thought he would just straight up attack me. This suddenly got boring.” Adrian muttered as he expected a battle which he would enjoy but the enemy resorted to verbal tactics.

All of the Immortals then looked at Adrian as they did see him activate something earlier and two suddenly arrived inside of the formation. Adrian did not bother explaining what he did as it will just go over the heads of the Immortals that are not formation masters. Adrian did stare directly at Grand Formation Master Keisei as he knows that person should know what he did.

”Why would I try and pull you inside such a dangerous place? I merely pulled the creator of this formation and all beings around them in a five-meter radius. The fact that both of you showed up is already telling. If I am not mistaken, that should be the formation master that created this formation. Why not try ask him why you are pulled in, Branch Master Goldenclaw?” Adrian stated with a smile on his face.

As soon as Adrian stated that he planned to pull the formation master and all beings around him, the eyes shifted to Grand Formation Master Keisei. Adrian actually expected that there should be at least ten other people that will be pulled as maintaining such a powerful and large formation is not easy. Either Grand Formation Master Keisei is incredibly powerful and has vast reserves or the Primordial Beast of Greed itself is powering this formation.

”Answer us, formation master!” The Immortals demanded.

”Such trash that needs to be destroyed.” Branch Leader Goldenclaw stated as he suddenly created a large hand once again to kill off the Immortals that dared to question the man behind him.

A large yellow energy hand swept across the Immortals, but the strength of that attack was not easy to defend against. The Immortals would have died if not for Kabrakan suddenly appearing in front of them again. The large energy hand was destroyed as it clashed against the fully armored Kabrakan. He is much more stable in flat ground compared to the skies after all.

”If all of you join me in attacking them then I will give each one of you a personal teleportation scroll that can be used instantly. Also, please hand over the undead that I asked to be captured. The two of you will be rewarded after all of this.” Adrian stated.

”Those undead are mine!” Branch Leader Goldenclaw suddenly shouted with a voice several octaves lower than his own voice.

”And why are the undead yours?” Adrian followed up.

”Because those are from my own slave!” Branch Leader Goldenclaw exclaimed which made Adrian smile even more as all the Immortals that were on the fence have finally decided.

”Attack him!” The Immortals shouted as they launched energy attacks at Grand Formation Master Keisei and Branch Leader Goldenclaw.

”Tch! Insects!” Branch Leader Goldenclaw stated as he used the energy of the formation once again to create a barrier that defended them.

”Master, please do not use the energy present here or else this formation will falter. The Murim Alliance is still attacking the barrier from the outside and we cannot have them join the battle.” Grand Formation Master Keisei stated while quivering.

”Are you so weak that you cannot even maintain this formation when I am already giving you enough energy to keep it operating! If you do not want to be killed by me, do everything that you can to ensure that those Murim Alliance bastards do not enter while I kill everyone here!” Branch Leader Goldenclaw stated.

”Huh! Where is the demon?!” Branch Leader Goldenclaw suddenly exclaimed as the demon suddenly vanished from his location.

”I am here.” Adrian stated as he suddenly appeared behind Branch Leader Goldenclaw.

Adrianʼs daggers were aimed at the head of Branch Leader Goldenclaw but that was not his true aim. Branch Leader Goldenclaw basically protected himself and forgot that Grand Formation Master Keisei was also in the platform. Adrian proceeded to deliver a powerful roundhouse kick towards Grand Formation Master Keisei which sent him out of the platform. The platform also dissolved as a result as the formation master is the one that is manifesting it.
