Eternal Thief

Chapter 758 The Memories Of Grim Ancestor (1)

On the fifth day after Ace entered the Sun Seekerʼs Maze, his journey towards the space core and the yang orb was going smoothly, thanks to Cyrusʼs help.

Today, he didnʼt seem in a hurry to move anymore as he found a safe place and stopped so he could finally unravel the Grim Ancestorʼs memories which Freya had annexed after devouring his soul.

Within the Thiefʼs Space, Freya was still sitting in her position like five days ago, but there was a difference. Instead of a cocoon, another beautiful woman was sitting right in front of her like a mirror image.

That woman was naturally Jessie Campbell and Grim Ancestorʼs former vessel. Albeit, she looked exactly the same. But there was a tiny black rune between her eyebrows as it shimmered darkly.

Right at this moment, the third eye on Freyaʼs forehead slowly closed before vanishing completely, and she opened her human-like eyes, and just like her, Jessie also opened her snake eyes.

”I never thought Witch Avatar would be this miraculous!” Freya muttered with a hint of ecstasy in her voice.

A smile bloomed on Jessieʼs face as well, which appeared to be quite strange, ”Hmm, I look not bad in this dress after all…” She muttered, seeing herself hiding under the Evil Thiefʼs Robes.

This was naturally the result of Freyaʼs Witch Soul Possession Ability successfully creating a Witch Avatar!

Now, Jessie was Freya, and she had full control over Jessieʼs body, unlike the Grim Ancestorʼs half-baked method. As for the real Jessie and Grim Ancestor, they were now both part of Freyaʼs as her memories, nothing else.

”Aha, I was just wondering why that annoying wailing stopped all of a sudden. So, you were finally able to tame that snake? No bad, I guess.” Evaʼs cold yet devilish voice rang from Freyaʼs back at this moment.

Jessieʼs expression went frigid as she shifted her snake eyes toward Evaʼs smiling face, ”Are you judging me? Do you have what it takes?”

Freya and Jessie suddenly stood up at the same time and faced Eva. Although her real face was hidden under the hood, Jessieʼs expression direction represents Freyaʼs.

A flash of astonishment gleamed in Evaʼs eyes when she saw Jessie now gave completely different vibes than a few months ago. Although Ace had already told her about what Freya was up to so, she wonʼt disturb her, seeing her ability in action was still quite astonishing.

ʼAn Evil Witch who holds the title of Evil Thief. I must say that husband of mine really stumbled on women with abilities…ʼ Eva thought as she couldnʼt help but lament about not being the only woman by his side.

Nevertheless, she knew she was still the most extraordinary one, and Ace was the one who made it happen, so she wasnʼt that surprised that he could make others extraordinary as well.

Still, she was going to make sure to show who was the one boss around here, or how could he maintain her status as his wife and first teammate?

Even though Freya, Winter, and Noaʼs bloodlines were all upgraded with the help of the system, Evaʼs bloodline was in no way inferior to Cyrusʼs in any way, and she wasnʼt restricted either.

So when the crown on Evaʼs head glowed in dark light, and a dark malicious aura started to rise, Freyaʼs cold expression instantly crumbled and turned into one of disbelief and spectacle as she felt the same oppressive feeling when she faced Cyrus for the first time, not it was even more terrifying than that!

”Ahem, ladies, give me some face and get along since we are all on the same team here.” Aceʼs somewhat depressed voice rang at this moment.

He was watching everything play out and even let Eva act before stepping in because he wanted Freya to understand Eva wasnʼt some pushover, and even without the status of House Member, she was still a force to be reckoned with.

Evaʼs alluring lips rose in a charming smile before the surrounding aura suddenly vanished, ”Anything for you, Husband!”

Freya, on the other hand, was not happy at all about this small incident as she looked at Eva with disbelief and didnʼt know what to feel after what she just experienced.

ʼJust who in the world is she?ʼ She thought as she clearly never seen racial features like Eva before, but she now gets it why she didnʼt seem to be bothered by her at all.

Suddenly, Jessie smiled and performed a noble greeting out of both Eva and Aceʼs expectations and said, ”Now I know why you are our Leaderʼs wife. I hope you can forgive my previous uncouth behaviors. As his subordinate, itʼs my duty to see if the woman he chose is worthy of his status or not since it would also directly affect us. Now Iʼm relieved. You are far more than what we could ask for our leader. Please accept my greeting Mrs. Leader!”

Ace was speechless as he never expected Freya to change her behavior as fast as him and couldnʼt help but smile wryly, ʼSheʼs still that scheming woman I met that day…ʼ

However, Eva was quite pleased with how Freya called her at the end despite knowing it was simply too unnatural.

”No worries, as long as you donʼt cause trouble, I wonʼt mistreat you!” Eva said with a meaningful smile.

Although Jessie now held a smile on her face, Freyaʼs hidden face was as cold and impassive as ice while her eyes were shimmering with a peculiar light.

”Alright, since there are no more issues, can we get on with the task at hand?” Aceʼs impatient voice rang again.

Although this doesnʼt go as badly as he had imagined it to be, he knows Freya too well. So he was convinced there was something going on in her evil mind.

Jessie spoke again with a smile, ”Of course, I must thank you for giving me this body, or I wouldnʼt have found this kind of body that easily. I also know what Leader wanted to know. You want to know if there is a way out of the Fiery Hell Secret Realm which doesnʼt lead to the Union, right?”

”Yes.” Ace wasnʼt surprised Freya guessed his actual motives since this was pretty obvious, as she also knew about his situation with the Union.

However, Jessie suddenly smiled, full of meaning, as she revealed, ”Leader, I think that matter is not so important as the matter Iʼm stumbled upon in Grim Ancestorʼs memories, and youʼre really gonna wanna hear it!”
