Chapter 1657 1657: Saving An Old Man

”Miss Tang, as a businesswoman, you should know how to make friends. It would help your business too.” Bai Jian said.

”Indeed, you are right.” Yu Qi agreed with Bai Jianʼs statement.

Bai Jian was glad that Yu Qi agreed with her.

”Why donʼt we spend time together?” Bai Jian asked.

”Mrs Bai, what you said earlier is indeed right. But I donʼt plan to make friends with the Bai family. We did not have a business together.” Yu Qi cut Bai Jian off.

”You! Why are you being so rude? You should be glad that the Bai Family want to be friends with you.” Bai Jian stated.

Yu Qi snorted. ”You have a condescending attitude. Like I said earlier, I donʼt plan to be friends with you. Please, excuse me.” She looked at the sales girl and asked. ”Are my orders done?”

”Yes, Miss.” The sales girl nodded.

Yu Qi quickly made the payment and left the shop.

Bai Jian gritted her teeth. ”This woman is surely arrogant.”

Bai Feng Jiu did not want to comment. To be honest, she looked down at Yu Qi before. The situation was different now. She really looked up to Yu Qiʼs achievement. Not many women could do the same.

Yu Qi walked around. She saw an antique store. She became interested in looking around. So, she went to the store.

When she was about to enter the store, an old man came out of the store with two men. She assumed it was his bodyguards. This person must be someone important if he had bodyguards around him.

Yu Qi stepped aside giving way to the old man. The old man just smiled at Yu Qi while nodding. Yu Qi also responded by smiling back at the old man.

When Yu Qi was about to enter the antique store, she heard something. She turned around and saw the old man earlier fell on the ground.

She saw him grasping his left chest. She assumed the old man probably suddenly had a heart attack. She rushed to the old man. She pushed the bodyguards over.

”Hey, what are you doing?” The bodyguard became angry.

”Your master is having a heart attack.” Yu Qi said.

”You can not do anything.” The bodyguard shouted.

One of them already called the ambulance.

”If you wait for the ambulance to come, he will be dead by the time he arrives at the hospital.” Yu Qi said.

She did not care anymore. She ripped off the old manʼs shirt. She took out her needles and struck the needles into the old manʼs chest. The bodyguards were shocked by the womanʼs action.

The commotion made people around come to look at the situation.

”What happened?”

”I hear that old man is having a heart attack.”

”Then, what is that woman doing?”

”I donʼt know.”

”Is she putting needles on that old man?”

”I think so.”

”Oh, she is probably trying to save the old man by doing acupuncture.”

”She should be waiting for the ambulance for help.”

”I just heard that she says that the old man would be dead by the time he arrived at the hospital.”

”What? She could not jinx the old man like that.”

”I think she knows what she doing. Look she is very confident.”

Yu Qi put ten needles on the old manʼs chest. After that, she checked on his pulse. Knowing the old manʼs pulse became stable.

She was relieved. She began to take out the needles from the old manʼs chest.

”Is he going to be okay?” The bodyguard saw Yu Qi taking out the needles and could not help but ask.

”Hmm... He is okay right now. But he needs to go to the hospital to check up. When is the ambulance coming?” Yu Qi told the bodyguards about the old manʼs condition and asked about the ambulance.

Seeing the old man still unconscious, the bodyguards were still worried. A few moments later, the old man began to open his eyes.

”Old Master.” The bodyguards were glad to see the old man finally conscious.

”Young miss, thank you for your help.” The bodyguards bowed to Yu Qi.

”Oh, are you the one who helped me?” The old man smiled weakly.

”Sir, you need to go to the hospital to check up. Otherwise, something like this will happen again in the future.” Yu Qi advised the old man.

Sometimes, some old people disliked going to the hospital thinking they were healthy.

”I understand. Thank you, young lady.” The old man smiled.

The paramedic came over. They saw someone familiar.

”Doctor Yu Qi?” The paramedic called Yu Qiʼs name for confirmation.

”Yes.” Yu Qi answered. ”This old man is having a heart attack earlier. Please put the oxygen mask on him.”

”Yes, Doctor Yu Qi.” The paramedic quickly did their work.

They put on an oxygen mask for the old man and transported them to the ambulance.

The people who watched this situation heard the paramedic call the young woman ʼdoctorʼ.

”Oh, she is actually a doctor.”

”No wonder, she knew what she doing.”

”The old man is lucky that he encounters a doctor when he is having a heart attack.”

”Who knows what happens if she is not around.”

Yu Qi was relieved seeing the old man in the paramedicʼs hand. She went to collect the shopping bag that she threw away just now. Seeing they were in good condition, she picked them up.
