Chapter 1105: Post-Mortem Report

”We already received the post-mortem report.” Tang Jang Qin said.

Everyone looked at the document in Tang Jang Qinʼs hand.

Tang Jang Qin opened the document. ”In this report stated that the main cause of death was ketamine overdose.”

”What? Ketamine overdose? From what I know, the anesthesiologist in that surgery used the intravenous agent, Propofol (Diprivan:registered:). Not the ketamine.” One of the people in the meeting said.

”Yes. I read the report of the surgery too. It is indeed propofol.” Another one supported that.

Both propofol and ketamine were the the most commonly used IV general anesthetic. It was not wrong to use the ketamine since a lot of hospitals used ketamine for the management of acute and chronic pain.

It was not weird at all. However the thing got weirder when the anesthetic was not supposedly used in that surgery appeared in the patientʼs body and caused his death. Not only that, ketamine overdose meaning the body had been injected with the amount that a human body should not receive.

If the human body received the excessive amount of ketamine in their bodies, they might have several side effects such as chest pain, dangerous changes in blood pressure and heart rate.

Not to mention, the patient was an alcoholic or acutely intoxicated with alcohol. So, ketamine uses on this patient could be fatal. Doctor Zhang Ming also knew that this patient was an alcoholic. So, that why she suggested to use propofol as the anesthetic.

”Meaning someone injected it into the patientʼs body.” Tang Qin Hao said.

”Yes.” Tang Jin Wei nodded.

”However, we already checked the CCTV camera in the patientʼs room that night. Nothing unusual happened.” Tang Jung Wen said.

He and several police officers already checked the video. Like Yu Qi did yesterday, they watched everything until the doctor declared the patientʼs death. There was nothing unusual in the video.

”Hmm.... can I say something?” Yu Qi asked.

”Yes. You may.” Tang Jung Wen said.

”Actually....”

.....

Yu Qi was sitting together with Tang Family members and several police officers in front of many people. In the meeting, yesterday, Yu Qi surprised everything with her discovery regarding this case. They did not expect the thing like that happened in their hospital.

Yu Qi suggested them to do a public conference. It was to restore the image by telling the truth to the public. Since it was the case, the reporters had been called too.

The reporters seemed excited to know more about this case. The case was very popular. A lot of citizens critiqued Tang Private Hospital. So, it was worth to write about this case.

The family members of the deceased were also here. They were sitting down silently.

Tang Jung Wen looked at Yu Qi. Yu Qi nodded and Tang Jung Wen replied back by nodding too.

”We are sorry for the loss of your Familyʼs member.” Tang Jung Wen said to the deceased family.

”Your sorry is not going to revive my father.” The youngest son said while pointing to Tang Jung Wen.

He wanted to rush to Tang Jung Wen but his oldest brother pulled his hand stopping him to rush over.

”However, we can say that it was not entirely our fault.” Tang Jung Wen continued.

This made the noise among the audience especially the reporters. They liked this kind of things.

”What are you saying? Of course, it is entirely your fault.” The youngest son shouted again. This time, he did not rush over like the last time.

”The forensic report stated that Mr Kuang Yan had died due to the ketamine overdose. For your information, ketamine is commonly used as anesthetic in the surgery.” Tang Jung Wen said.

”See. It is your fault.” The youngest son shouted again.

”However, the anesthetic used in the surgery that performed for your father is not the ketamine but Propofol. The doctor and anesthesiologist whom involved in that surgery make that decision because Mr Kuang Yan was an alcoholic. Ketamine was fatal for a alcoholic person.” Tang Jung Wen said.

”What?

”Then, how the substance can be the cause of the death?”

The reporters were talking at the same time as soon as Tang Jung Wen completed his sentence.

”Mr Kuang Yan was in the stabil condition when he got out of the surgery room. Then he had been placed in a ward.” Tang Jung Wen said.

Tang Jung Wen showed a few picture of Kuang Yan being pushed out of the surgery room. Then a few picture of Kuang Yan was resting in the ward. There was also a video that showed the monitor about Kuang Yan”s heartbeat.

”It shows that Kuang Yan was in a good condition after the surgery.” Tang Jung Wen said.

”You must be editing this video. I know it.” The youngest son accused the hospital again.

”Oh, you must be a pro in editing the video since, just at one glance, you know this video is an edited video.” Yu Qi stood up and smiled as her narrow eyes looking straight at the youngest son.

The youngest sonʼs eyes moved to Yu Qi. When he saw Yu Qi, he was shivered out of nothing. He felt his body had been wrapped by a giant snake and the giant snake was watching him with its glowing eyes before the giant snake was going to eat him.

Tang Jung Wen took a seat. His job had already been done. It was Yu Qiʼs turn now.
