I reported you for selling fake medicine. If I stop selling it, why are you crying?

Chapter 299 Let Him TryChapter 299 Let Him Give It a Try
Are you worried that this person is a liar?

This was the only reason Wei Xiaojian could think of with his immature mind.

His parents used to tell him not to believe other people’s words like “making a lot of money” or “high income” because those were all lies.

So, is that guy a liar?
This thought appeared in Wei Xiaojian’s mind.

”I’ll pay for him.”
The man’s voice appeared in my mind again.

When he was embarrassed and helpless, others would only laugh at him, but he, a stranger, didn’t even ask his name and was willing to pay for him.

Could such a person be a liar?

Wei Xiaojian always felt that it was not the case.

Moreover, a blue-skinned gecko costs ten thousand yuan. If he could really find one, then his grandmother’s disease could be cured, right?

My grandmother had pneumonia, but she never went to the hospital. She just got some medicine from a local doctor and made some soup to drink.

The coughing seems to be getting more frequent recently.

Wei Xiaojian saw it and was worried.

At this moment, the only thing on his mind was the ”blue-skinned gecko that costs ten thousand yuan each.”

Seeing the man walking away, he followed him.

Half a minute later, he returned disappointed from another villager’s door.

Wei Xiaojian appeared in front of him.

Cheng Ming was stunned.

”Are you the kid from the store just now?”

”Yes, it is.”

”What’s wrong? Don’t you have enough food at home? Do you want to buy some more?” Cheng Ming asked.

”No, that’s enough for now.” Wei Xiaojian refused.

He had hands and feet, and in fact, if it hadn’t been so embarrassing before, he wouldn’t have accepted this man’s help.

”That’s fine.” Cheng Ming said and wanted to leave.

He didn’t even think about whether there was anything else going on with the child in front of him.

”Hey! Big brother!” Wei Xiaojian called him.

”What’s wrong? Is there anything else?” Cheng Ming asked puzzledly.

”Brother, are you...” Wei Xiaojian’s voice was very low, but he seemed to have thought of something, and his tone became firm, ”Brother, are you looking for a blue-skinned gecko?”

Cheng Ming was stunned and said in surprise: ”Yeah, why, have you seen it? If you have seen it, I am willing to buy it for 10,000 yuan each.”

”Ten thousand.”

Even though he already knew about this, it still felt incredible to hear this person say it to him in person.

Ten thousand dollars!
The most money he had ever seen was the 200 yuan tuition that his grandmother paid for him.

He didn’t even quite understand what ten thousand yuan meant.

”Why? You think it’s not enough?”

”No! It’s not.”

”Have you ever seen a blue-skinned gecko?”

”This. I don’t have it.”

”Okay, forget it then.” Cheng Ming said and was about to turn around and leave.

He never thought that the boy in front of him might be able to go into the mountains.

In his opinion, children of this age should still be in school.

”Brother, wait a minute!” Wei Xiaojian called him again.

Cheng Ming turned around: ”Anything else?”

”Although I have never seen the kind of gecko you mentioned, as long as there is such a gecko in the mountains around our village, I will help you find it.” Wei Xiaojian said.

Cheng Ming showed a look of surprise, but then he was a little scared: ”Forget it! You are too young, it is better not to go into the mountains casually.”

After saying that, he patted Wei Xiaojian on the shoulder.

Wei Xiaojian quickly explained: ”Brother! Don’t underestimate me. Although I am only 15 years old, I have been in the mountains for two years!” This time Cheng Ming was really surprised. He looked at the child in front of him again.

”Have you really been in the mountains for two years?”

”Really.” Wei Xiaojian said, ”I’m familiar with all the mountain roads near the village! I can even collect herbs and catch geckos just like the adults!”

”Okay.” Cheng Ming smiled. ”Okay, then. If you find one, come to me. Ten thousand yuan for one. It’s real money.”

”Good class!”

The two, one big and one small, agreed on a meeting time tomorrow, and Cheng Ming left the village.

Wei Xiaojian’s shoulders were held down by someone.

He was startled and turned around, only to see Uncle Guang and Uncle Gui standing behind him.

Wei Guang asked seriously: ”Xiao Jian, did you promise that person?”

Wei Xiaojian always felt that Uncle Guang had a good temper and had never lost his temper with him. Why did he feel that Uncle Guang’s expression was a little scary now?
”Yes, yes.” Wei Xiaojian’s voice trembled a little.

”You are confused! Do you know what that person does? Why do you agree to him so casually?!” Uncle Guang questioned.

”I, I think that big brother is very nice. I, I was buying something in the store just now, and I just didn’t have enough money, so that big brother paid for me, a total of forty-five!”

”Are you going to sell out your future path just for these forty-five?”

Wei Xiaojian didn’t understand: ”Uncle Guang, what are you talking about?”

Wei Guang had an expression of being disappointed with his friend.

”Do you know that Boss Kang in town told us not to cooperate with that person, otherwise Boss Kang will never accept your medicinal materials in the future! Do you understand what I mean? If you help him, you will not be able to make money from selling medicine in the future!”

Hearing this, Wei Xiaojian hesitated for a moment.

On one hand, there is making money by selling medicine, and on the other hand, there is my grandma’s illness.

He took a deep breath and said, ”Uncle Guang, even if I can’t make money by selling medicine in the future, that man said that as long as I help him find a blue-skinned gecko, he will buy it for 10,000 yuan each. With this 10,000 yuan, my grandmother’s disease may be cured.”

Wei Guang and Wei Gui both paused in their breathing.

Wei Guang also sighed, and his tone softened a lot.

”Xiao Jian, why do you trust him so much? What if he gets the things but doesn’t pay you? What if he’s just playing a trick on you?”

”Besides, our village has been catching geckos for so many years. Has anyone ever seen a blue-skinned gecko?”

Wei Guang spoke with deep sincerity.

”Xiao Jian, we know about your grandma’s illness, but you can’t rush it.”

How could Wei Xiaojian not know what Wei Guang said?

He was just trying to grasp at a straw in his desperation.

”Uncle Guang, you don’t have to say anything more. That big brother is a good man. I believe him.”

”Even if he was kidding me, I was just wasting my time. If what he said was true, then I would...”

Wei Xiaojian’s eyes were full of longing.

Wei Guang wanted to say something, but was stopped by Wei Gui.

”Forget it, Xiao Jian is still young, let him give it a try.”

”Even if he is blacklisted by Boss Kang in the future, he can still go out and try his luck. He is different from the rest of us. He shouldn’t be tied to this piece of land and live on mountain products.”

Hearing this, Wei Guang was stunned.

Indeed.

Is working in the mountains really a good choice? Maybe not!
These people are old and have no other skills. They can only survive by relying on the income from going into the mountains.

But Wei Xiaojian actually doesn’t have to do that.

Even if he finds a job outside, it will be much better than staying at home.

Thinking of this, Wu Guang sighed and said nothing more.

Wei Xiaojian said, ”Uncle Guang, Uncle Gui, I’ll go back first if there’s nothing else. My grandma must be hungry. I’ll go back and cook some ribs for her.”

Looking at Wei Xiaojian’s receding back, Wei Guang and Wei Gui had complicated expressions.
