105: New Year’s Day in the United StatesAlisa felt a chill shoot straight from the soles of her feet to the top of her head.

Her hands trembled slightly, and she subconsciously tried to refresh the page, suspecting it was just a screenshot.

Her finger touched the screen, and the page refreshed smoothly. The numbers remained unchanged.

”Holy shit!” She looked up abruptly, staring fixedly at the man across from her who was leisurely sipping red wine.

The doubt and displeasure in her eyes shattered in that instant.

In their place was deep terror and shock.

Over four hundred billion in cash! What kind of concept was that?

You have to realize, calculated at a market value of 300 billion, a 67% stake was worth approximately 200 billion.

Jiang Yuan offered 260 billion, which was equivalent to giving her a 30% premium directly!

This was him smashing money into her face, and it was the kind of smashing that one couldn’t refuse.

”Now.” Jiang Yuan sipped his red wine, his voice remaining calm.

”Have the lawyers discuss the contract tomorrow.”

”Tonight.”

”Let’s discuss... the matter of the admission ticket first?”

Alisa swallowed hard.

In the face of absolute monetary violence, her proud business empire was as fragile as a piece of paper.

”Jiang...” Her voice trembled slightly as she stood up slowly, her silk robe slipping off.

She didn’t pull it up; instead, she took the initiative to unfasten the shoulder straps.

”Since you are the boss...”

”Then no matter what we discuss, I will listen to you.”

That night, the lights on the 131st floor of the Central Park building did not sleep all night.

If it were understandable that a Tier 3 Superman like Jiang Yuan didn’t need sleep, Alisa’s level of madness simply refreshed his understanding.

This usually aloof female president of an extreme sports company had completely unleashed her inner wildness, conquered by both money and charisma.

That kind of unreserved devotion made Jiang Yuan, who had seen countless women, feel an unprecedented sense of satisfaction.

For three whole days, this million-dollar door was never opened.

Except for the butler, William, who delivered top-tier ingredients and drinks at scheduled times, this cloud apartment seemed to have become an isolated Eden.

During this time, the top legal team came once. They were extremely efficient.

The contract was signed, and the funds were transferred.

Jiang Yuan successfully invested 270 billion USD, becoming the absolute controlling shareholder of ”Paradise Extreme”.

Alisa even gave up an additional 2% stake, allowing him to become the true, undisputed king of this business empire with a 69% shareholding ratio.

It wasn’t until the fifth day that the two of them were finally willing to leave this land of tenderness.

Today is New Year’s Day. For Americans, this is one of the most important holidays of the year.

Looking down from the 131st floor, the streets of Manhattan had been blocked by dense crowds and traffic, turning them into rivers of red.

Want to drive out? That’s simply a dream.

”William, prepare the aircraft.” Jiang Yuan stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the crawling traffic beneath his feet, and ordered calmly.

Ten minutes later, on the helipad at the top of the building, a latest model Sikorsky S-76 helicopter’s propellers were already roaring.

Upon learning that it was actually Jiang Yuan’s first time in the United States, Alisa was so surprised she couldn’t close her mouth.

Such a top-tier Divine Magnate who throws around hundreds of billions, was actually a ”New York novice”?

This instantly ignited her soul as a tour guide.

”Honey, since you’re here, the first stop must be the most classic one!”

The aircraft took off. That feeling of having the entirety of Manhattan under one’s feet was even more shocking than living on the top floor.

The steel forest receded beneath them. The helicopter flew towards Liberty Island at the mouth of the Hudson River. It circled.

The huge Statue of Liberty appeared outside the porthole. Seen from the ground, it was just a tall bronze statue.

But in the air, when circling slowly around it, the sense of historical weight and oppression rushed toward them.

”Jiang!” Alisa pointed at the statue outside the window, excitedly wrapped her arms around Jiang Yuan’s neck, and offered him a passionate French kiss.

”Welcome to America!” ”Thank you.”

Jiang Yuan responded with a smile and took out his Nikon Z9. Click.

In the lens, the Statue of Liberty held the torch high, with Manhattan’s iconic skyline in the background.

He was accustomed to recording every corner he had walked through.

The aircraft continued to fly. Times Square below had turned into an ocean of people.

Countless tourists wearing New Year’s Eve hats were squeezed together, waiting for the crystal ball to drop tonight.

That kind of noise and crowding could seemingly be felt even from hundreds of meters up in the air.

But all this clamor had nothing to do with Jiang Yuan.

He sat in the quiet, luxurious cabin, holding champagne, observing the revelry of this city of desire beneath his feet from a god’s-eye view.

Night fell on New Year’s Day. After the clamor of the day, New York at night not only didn’t quiet down, but as the lights came on, it displayed the most charming side of it as a city that never sleeps.

30 Hudson Yards. This place possessed the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere — Edge.

On ordinary days, this was a popular internet-famous check-in spot crowded with tourists, where one would have to queue for two hours just to come up and take a photo.

But tonight, the entire 100th and 101st floors were empty. Except for Jiang Yuan and Alisa.

The elevator ascended rapidly at a speed of 600 meters per minute; the moment the elevator doors opened, the biting high-altitude wind was blocked out by the thick glass curtain wall.

The Edge observation deck at this moment had been transformed into an open-air, private restaurant.

Under the huge triangular suspended glass floor, Manhattan streets were 345 meters below, with traffic weaving through like fireflies.

And in the very center of the platform, there was a long table covered with a white linen tablecloth.

It was surrounded by top-tier red roses air-freighted from Ecuador, looking delicate and dripping with beauty in the cold wind.

Hundreds of expensive beeswax candles burned quietly inside windproof glass covers, the flickering candlelight reflecting off the lights of the Empire State Building in the distance.

”Jiang, do you like it here?” Alisa had changed into a black backless evening gown tonight, wearing that recently purchased pink diamond necklace around her neck, which sparkled under the candlelight.

”This is the New Year’s Day dinner I prepared for you.”

”It must have taken quite a bit of effort to book this place, right?” Jiang Yuan pulled out a chair and sat down, with transparent glass beneath his feet, as if he were suspended above the city.

”As long as you are happy, it’s worth it.” Alisa sat opposite him, her eyes lingering lovingly.

If those Wall Street elites could see that the usually lawless she-devil Alisa was acting like a kitten trying to please its master, their jaws would probably drop in shock.

”Sir, Madam, may I serve the meal?” A white-haired waiter stepped forward and bowed slightly.

He was the executive chef of the legendary New York restaurant Per Se, who had specially brought his entire team over tonight just to serve these two.

”Go ahead.” Jiang Yuan nodded.

The appetizer was Almas caviar. This golden caviar, produced from albino sturgeon over a hundred years old, was more expensive than gold; usually sold by the gram, tonight, each of them was served a whole tin.

Using a mother-of-pearl spoon to scoop a spoonful into his mouth, the salty, fresh flavor of the popping beads exploded instantly, accompanied by the slight acidity of the champagne—the taste was superb.

Next was the main course. It wasn’t tacky steak, but Italian Alba white truffle risotto.

The chef, wearing white gloves, held a fist-sized white truffle in his hand and shaved it frantically as if it didn’t cost a thing.

You have to know, this thing was known as the ”White Diamond”; this meal’s shavings alone could probably shave away a BMW.

”The taste is not bad.” Jiang Yuan tasted a mouthful, and that unique, exotic fragrance rushed straight into his nasal cavity.

At this altitude of 345 meters, eating the most expensive ingredients in the world, looking down at the steel jungle built up by capital beneath his feet.

This thrill of controlling everything was indeed more intoxicating than simple sensory enjoyment.

”Jiang.” Alisa raised her glass, her red lips parted slightly. ”To our first New Year in the United States.” ”And to... my new boss.”

She said the last three words with the utmost charm, her high heels having been kicked off at some point, and under the cover of the tablecloth, she was lightly rubbing against Jiang Yuan’s calf.

A playful smile curled at the corner of Jiang Yuan’s mouth as he raised his glass to clink with hers. ”Cheers.”
