Starting as a Blind Beggar and Becoming a God

Chapter 161 Not Accepting DisciplesChapter 161 Not Accepting Disciples

Chen Huaian listened to her without saying anything. He thought that perhaps for her, having delicious food and being able to play happily was freedom.

”Brother Huaian, where have you been?” Lin Qingyu asked Chen Huaian in a soft voice. Chen Huaian touched her head and said, ”I went to beat up the bad guys.”

”Brother Huai’an is lying!”

”Hmm?” Chen Huaian didn’t expect Lin Qingyu to react like this. He said, ”I didn’t lie to you, and there’s no need for me to lie to you.”

”You are a liar!” Lin Qingyu turned her head and said, ”Sister said that a child who lies is not a good child. Sister will not like it, so I won’t talk to you anymore.”

The old cow beside Chen Huaian reminded him, ”Moo.” (In her eyes, you are just a blind man. How can a blind man fight bad guys?)
Chen Huaian reacted instantly, ”I’ve fallen into inertial thinking again.” As his strength increased, eyesight seemed to be less important to him.

”Qingyu is really smart. I’m just going out for a stroll.” Chen Huaian replied with a smile.

”No, it’s Brother Huai’an who is too stupid to come up with such an excuse. Qingyu is not a three-year-old child. I am six years old! I will not believe everything you say.”

”Well, he’s six years old now. He’s a little adult now. He doesn’t believe everything.”

”Of course, even my second brother dares not disobey me!” Lin Qingyu said, raising her neck like a proud little swan.

”Your second brother is not afraid of you, but of your eldest sister.” Chen Huaian wanted to laugh, but he held it back.

”My second brother also said that I am becoming more and more like my eldest sister.”

”If she hadn’t had an accident, she might have become the second Lin Jingxue.” Chen Huaian did not say this out loud, but said it in his heart.

Chen Huaian and Lin Qingyu were chatting when suddenly a shout broke the pleasant atmosphere.

”Master!” The word ”Master” almost made Chen Huaian hide. He really had no intention of accepting an apprentice, but in Lin Yu’s heart, he had already tacitly accepted him as his master.

”Master?” Lin Qingyu didn’t know what was going on, so she couldn’t understand why Lin Yu called Chen Huaian master.

”Why did he call you Master?” Lin Qingyu asked puzzledly. Chen Huaian didn’t know how to explain and said that he almost killed Lin Yu instantly, but Lin Qingyu obviously wouldn’t believe it.

While Lin Qingyu was still confused, Lin Yu had already arrived in front of them. He knelt down respectfully in front of Chen Huaian. If Chen Huaian had not reacted quickly enough, he would have really knelt down.

”I’m not your master.” Chen Huaian said sternly.

”No, you are my master. I have already performed the ceremony of kneeling and worshiping you, you cannot deny it.” Lin Yu said seriously, and in Chen Huaian’s view, his behavior was nothing more than forced buying and selling.

”I didn’t admit it, so your kneeling ceremony doesn’t count.”

”No, that’s because you haven’t discovered my talent for cultivation yet. When you do, you will be very happy to accept me as your apprentice.”

Lin Qingyu was stunned. Lin Yu’s behavior at the moment reminded her of what Chen Huaian had said to her before, ”Did he really go to beat up the bad guys?”

”Second brother, is he very powerful? Do you really want to become his disciple?” Lin Qingyu pointed at Chen Huaian and asked Lin Yu.

After hearing what Lin Qingyu said, Lin Yu said without hesitation: ”Amazing, very awesome.”

Lin Qingyu knew that Lin Yu would not easily obey anyone, so when she looked at Chen Huaian, there was more curiosity in her eyes. Chen Huaian wanted to say that he did not want to accept Lin Yu as his apprentice. It had nothing to do with his talent, but Chen Huaian unilaterally did not want to accept him.

He was already wandering around, and now he had to face the behemoth Wanfa Sect. Accepting Lin Yu as his own would be harmful to him.

”How powerful is he?” Lin Qingyu asked curiously, ”Is he as powerful as the cultivator from last time?”

When Lin Yu heard Lin Qingyu talking about the cultivator from last time, he blurted out, ”Much better than him.”

”Okay, stop talking. Your elder sister will be back soon. You should think about how to avoid being punished.” Chen Huaian said, interrupting Lin Yu and carrying Lin Yu to other places.

Lin Qingyu looked at their departing backs, her eyes full of confusion, and she murmured, ”They are so weird...”

After Chen Huaian carried Lin Yu away, Lin Yu broke free from his hands and said, ”Master, let me show you a set of swordsmanship.”

Before Chen Huaian had the time to refuse, he started to dance with the sword. His sword skills were very crude for Chen Huaian, but for someone of his age, they were already very good.

After Lin Yu finished dancing, he was already sweating profusely. He ran to Chen Huaian and asked excitedly: ”Master, how is it? Is it good? Is it handsome? Do you have a talent for cultivation?”

”Very good.” Chen Huaian said nothing else, and a hint of disappointment flashed in Lin Yu’s eyes.

To Lin Yu, ”pretty good” means just average, not great; he has higher aspirations.

Chen Huaian looked at Lin Yu in front of him and said, ”Maybe you have a good talent for cultivation, but I won’t accept you.”

He told Lin Yu very seriously, ”I won’t accept you as my apprentice, and I don’t accept apprentices, so don’t come to me again.”

Lin Yu was about to say something when he was interrupted by Chen Huaian, ”Your kneeling ceremony is invalid. I didn’t say that you intend to be my disciple. It’s useless for you to kneel down more. And this requires the willingness of both parties. It’s useless for you to become my disciple unilaterally.”

”But I...”

”There aren’t that many buts. Your elder sister doesn’t want you to practice. I think she has her reasons. She has her own difficulties. You should also consider her.”

”You practiced flying swords in the city, which was so dangerous. Your elder sister always helped you clean up the mess. Don’t you feel ashamed?”

”Besides, I heard those people talking about you with laughter that day, and they didn’t react much. I guess this isn’t the first time you’ve done this. Don’t you think that what you did was selfish to your elder sister?”

Chen Huaian spoke very quickly, and his words were a little hurtful to Lin Yu, but Chen Huaian had to do it. Lin Yu had a deep obsession with cultivation, so obsessive that he seemed to have neglected his family.

Lin Yu was silent. Chen Huaian’s words reminded him of a question. For so long, he seemed to have grown up under the wings of his eldest sister. What would he do if his eldest sister was gone one day?
”I……”

”Think about it yourself.” Chen Huaian said and left. Lin Yu was too obsessed with this matter. If he was used by someone with ulterior motives, the consequences would be disastrous.

What Chen Huaian is doing now is also to help him, but what he said is a bit hurtful, and a bit cruel to Lin Yu now.

However, Chen Huaian felt that this was a good thing. People always have to learn to grow up. For example, when he first came to this world, the most serious mistake he made was not killing the Li family directly.

It was this incident that changed Chen Huaian’s mentality. It is best to eliminate all uncontrollable factors directly and not leave them any chance to counterattack.
