Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 728: Nanami’s Power

The moment any of them displayed signs of losing control or regaining dangerous impulses, anesthesia would immediately be sprayed into their area, forcing them into unconsciousness before they could cause trouble.

After Silas finished arranging everything, he immediately ordered one of the researchers to begin conducting examinations on the newly arrived humans.

Unfortunately, all of the test subjects were still unconscious.

As a result, there was little the researchers could do.

They could only wait for at least one of them to wake up.

Meanwhile, Ivy lay quietly in her room.

’I need answers. I need to know what is happening as soon as possible.’

Just then, the door opened. Silas walked inside.

After giving Ivy a brief report regarding the captured humans and everything that had happened outside, he sat beside her bed.

”It seems they even possess the ability to influence ordinary humans.”

Ivy slowly nodded.

For a few moments, neither of them spoke.

Finally, she let out a tired sigh.

”Sometimes I truly wonder why these problems never come to an end.”

Hearing the exhaustion in her voice, Silas felt his heart ache.

He gently placed a hand on her head.

”You don’t need to worry about everything.”

His voice was unusually soft. ”I’ll take care of it.”

Ivy gave a faint smile. After several seconds, she quietly murmured,

”I have a very bad feeling. It feels like something is about to happen.”

Unfortunately, her instincts were correct.

At that exact moment, something was indeed happening.

Far away from the Silvy Base, Moona and Maxi had been surrounded.

Four superior beings stood before them.

Tammy, Coco, Barrett, and Nanami.

The four of them stared at the sisters with strange smiles.

Their eyes resembled hunters who had finally cornered their prey.

The reason Moona and Maxi were outside the base was relatively simple.

Recently, they had discovered a rare herb that was extremely useful in creating enhanced antidotes.

As a result, they had left the base to gather more of it.

During the past few months, both sisters had undergone tremendous growth.

To everyone’s surprise, both sisters had even awakened a mutated Plant Elemental Ability.

Now they could proudly claim that they possessed genuine combat capabilities.

Although they could not create plants from nothing, they could command surrounding vegetation.

Roots could emerge from the ground. Vines could attack enemies. Flowers could release strange spores.

Most importantly, they could generate specialized seeds.

These seeds were far purer than before and had become an important component in several antidotes.

Beyond that, they had also learned how to create various plant-based traps capable of hindering opponents.

It could be said that Ivy’s harsh training had transformed them significantly.

However, despite all that growth, both sisters immediately understood how dangerous their current situation was.

Tammy slowly stepped forward. ”There’s no need to be so nervous.”

A smile appeared on her face. ”It’ll be over quickly.”

The moment she moved, both Moona and Maxi suddenly felt a sharp stinging pain inside their minds.

It was as though invisible needles were piercing their consciousness.

However, unlike before, they were prepared.

Silas had shared detailed information regarding Tammy, Nanami, Coco, Barrett, and the others.

He had specifically warned the hybrids about their abilities and weaknesses.

Because of that information, Moona and Maxi immediately reacted.

Without hesitation, both sisters took out the protective spheres Ivy had previously given them.

The moment they activated them, a familiar aura erupted outward.

A translucent barrier enveloped their bodies. Instantly, the pain inside their minds vanished.

The four superior beings watched the scene with fascination.

Tammy’s eyes sparkled. ”Now that’s interesting.”

She slowly circled around them. ”How about this?”

Her smile widened. ”You both surrender peacefully. I promise we’ll be gentle.”

Her voice sounded warm.

However, Moona and Maxi only felt disgust.

’Fake.’

Still, neither sister dared say it aloud.

Instead, they turned around and ran.

Among the six hybrids within Ivy’s group, they were not the strongest fighters.

Trying to confront four superior beings head-on would be suicide.

The moment they fled, Tammy and the others immediately gave chase.

Barrett moved first. His ability activated. Space distorted.

He attempted to swap positions with the sisters and instantly place them back in front of him.

However, the moment his power touched them, it was blocked.

The aura surrounding Moona and Maxi rejected his ability.

Barrett’s expression darkened.

The others also frowned.

After all, among superior beings, abilities could only suppress other abilities under special circumstances.

Typically, one superior being’s power could not completely nullify another’s.

The only exception was when the bloodline difference was overwhelming.

That realization immediately surfaced in their minds.

’Just what level is Ivy’s bloodline?’

For a brief moment, even Tammy became silent.

Meanwhile, Moona and Maxi had no idea what the superior beings were thinking.

They just focused on running.

Unfortunately, despite their efforts, they were still unable to reach the territory of the Silvy Base.

The protective barrier surrounding them suddenly began weakening. Cracks appeared.

Seeing this, Tammy smiled.

A cruel smile.

”It looks like someone is about to be slaughtered.”

However, the next moment, both sisters reached into their storage devices and pulled out another protective sphere.

The instant it activated, a fresh barrier appeared around them.

The cracks immediately vanished. The protection was restored.

Tammy’s smile disappeared. A deep frown formed on her face.

”Attack.”

Her voice turned icy. ”Break it as quickly as possible.”

The moment those words were spoken, all four superior beings launched their attacks simultaneously.

Only Nanami remained still.

He did not move.

It was as though he were observing an experiment rather than a battle.

Finally, when he saw that the two sisters were only moments away from reaching safety, he slowly closed his eyes.

”Stop.”

The word left his lips softly.

Yet the moment it was spoken, nothing happened.

Moona and Maxi continued running.

The protective aura surrounding them remained stable.

Seeing this, a flicker of interest appeared in Nanami’s eyes.

”Oh?”

For the first time, genuine curiosity appeared on his face.

Then he spoke again. This time his voice carried far greater force.

”Shatter.”
