Global Evolution: I Create Items in the Apocalypse and Become a God

Chapter 146: Encountering the Locust Swarm AgainChapter 146: Encountering the Locust Swarm Again

Chu Anqin rode the third-level wolf king to the junction of the plain and the farmland. He looked at the one or two meter high weeds in the farmland, then looked at the broken cement road that went deep into the farmland, and a look of hesitation appeared on his face.

Before, because we were driving an armored vehicle, the best roads to travel were country roads like this.

But now he is different. His means of transportation has become a third-level wolf king. Whether in speed, adaptability, or on-the-spot response, he has left the armored vehicles behind by many times. There is no need to go along the cement road anymore.

However, if he wanted to find the village, he really had to follow this cement road.

Turn on the life detection system, expand the detection range, and dense red dots suddenly appear on the screen.

Sure enough, in this weed-covered farmland, there were countless alien species lurking.

What is detected on the screen now has filled up the entire screen, with at least a thousand alien species, most of which are first-order alien species, and a few second-order alien species, with a number of more than a hundred.

Based on the experience from the last encounter, these red dots should be swarms of locusts.

He didn’t know how big this farmland was, and how many locust species were hiding there. With his current strength, he had a certain chance of successfully passing through this farmland.

Chu Anqin sat on the tall back of the wolf king, thought for a moment, and his frown gradually relaxed.

”Let’s first look along the edge of the farmland area to see if we can get around it.”

He thought about it and decided that it would be better not to take too many risks.

After all, in the wilderness, even if one’s own strength is strong, the horror of the locust swarm is no less.

If a few more high-level locust species appear in the farmland, the possibility of failure will increase.

Chu Anqin first rode the wolf king and ran along the junction of the plain and the farmland.

After running back and forth twice, I returned to the cement road. This side was actually more than two thousand meters long, and the cement road was right in the middle.

To the south is a small hill covered with tall trees, and to the north is a river.

He had a vague feeling that this river was the same one where he had hidden from the locust swarm last time.

The small hill to the south has complex terrain and is overgrown with vegetation. There are also many alien species hidden in it, so it is not realistic to go around it.

On the north side, the river bank is not very wide and is somewhat muddy and loose. With the huge body of a third-level wolf king, the river dam may not be able to hold up.

He stood up on the wolf king’s back and looked along the cement road.

Looking from a high place, looking through the farmland, at the end, you can vaguely see a row of buildings, which looks like the village or town in this farmland.

Chu Anqin sat down again, touched the hair on the wolf king’s back, and made a decision in his heart.

”Brown Wolf, sprint at full speed later and rush directly through this farmland area.”

He gave the wolf king an order and prepared to sprint.

The third-level wolf king runs very fast. Xiao Qingzi, who is also at the third level and has the advantage of agility, can only run at the same speed as the wolf king.

The Wolf King is more durable than Xiao Qingzi, but Xiao Qingzi has a faster burst speed in a very short period of time.

When the wolf king heard the order, he growled, breathed heavily through his nostrils, tensed the muscles of his limbs, and dug the ground with his four claws, ready to attack.

As the mud behind him splashed, the Wolf King shot out like a sharp arrow. Chu Anqin only felt the whistling wind in his ears and was already in the farmland area.

The green weeds on both sides were rapidly retreating, but yellow locusts were gathering in the air.

As the wolf king ran into the farmland area, clusters of frightened locusts flew out from the weeds and chased the wolf king.

However, the wolf king was so fast that the locusts were left far behind as soon as they showed their heads, and he could not catch up at all.

Chu Anqin showed a look of joy. This third-level wolf king mount was much more useful than the previous armored vehicle.

If he had such a mount earlier, he would not have fallen into the locust swarm, and would not have been chased by the alien species with no way to escape.

As we sped along, the weeds on both sides of the cement road were blown up by the strong wind and fell to both sides.

The huge noise soon spread to the farmland area near the concrete road.

At first, only the locusts were disturbed where the wolf king ran. When the wolf king carried him completely into the center of the weeds in the farmland, the locusts behind him, on both sides, and even in the front were all disturbed.

Buzz buzz buzz - above the cement road, countless locusts vibrated their transparent wings at a high frequency and attacked the wolf king frantically.

Chu Anqin’s face, which had just been filled with joy, now turned completely dark.

Although the wolf king was fast, he could not withstand the locusts all around him.

Soon, the sky above the farmland area was covered with a dense yellow color.

Basically, locusts in the entire farmland area were alarmed.

He looked at the red dots overflowing the screen, wielded the [Black Dragon Sword], chopped the locusts rushing towards him, then raised his right arm high and controlled the [Black Dragon Cannon] to kill the locust swarm.

At the same time, Xiao Qingzi was also killing locusts.

There were so many locusts that the wolf king had to slow down and concentrate on defending against the deadly locust attacks.

Just as they were trapped in a swarm of locusts, a locust of enormous size with huge mouthparts and legs like hacksaws suddenly flew out from the farmland area near the river.

At the same time, two locusts of similar size and ferocious appearance flew out from the south side of the cement road.

”Three third-level alien species!”

The life detection system detected three large red dots at the first moment, and Chu Anqin saw them at a glance.

Three third-level locust species surrounded Chu Anqin from both sides of the cement road and attacked him directly.

In the village at the end of the cement road, two lean, dark-skinned men were staring toward the farmland.

”Brother, what’s going on in the fields? Are those locust monsters crazy?”

A slightly shorter man with a noticeable scar on his neck asked, swallowing his saliva.

Gulu!

The other man, who was taller and had an unshaven beard and looked like he hadn’t shaved for a long time, had his Adam’s apple moving and his mouth slightly open. He looked at the terrifying swarm of locusts above the farmland with a look of shock on his face.

The two are brothers. The short one is named Xia Erniu and the tall one is named Xia Dahe. They are brothers.

After the doomsday broke out, the two had been hiding in the village cellar and survived by chance. They were the only two survivors in the village.

There was a large amount of food stored in the cellar. The two had been hiding there for a year and the food had almost been consumed. They only recently dared to come out to get some fresh air and collect supplies.

I never thought that I would see such a horrifying scene just a few days after I came out.

Above the farmland where crops were originally planted, swarms of locusts are coming one after another, attacking in a certain direction.

Suddenly, a beam of energy shot up from the farmland into the sky, blasting a path through the dense swarm of locusts.

Then, one after another, beams of light shot out from the farmland, killing the locust swarms.

There were so many locusts that the wolf king had to stop running and attack these desperate locusts.

Countless advanced locusts rushed forward regardless of anything, like cats smelling blood.

Chu Anqin stood on the back of the wolf king. Three third-level blood vines cooperated with Xiao Qingzi and the wolf king to clear the approaching locust species for him. He himself continued to accumulate energy for the [Black Dragon Cannon] to attack the locust species.

In the sky, three third-level locusts mixed in the locust swarm, following the other locusts and continuously attacking and invading.

The sky was filled with the sound of wings vibrating at a high frequency. Chu Anqin felt his head buzzing and felt as upset as if he had fallen into a mosquito nest.

Boom boom boom!
No matter how annoying it was, the attacks of the [Black Dragon Cannon] continued.

He looked up at the sky intently, searching for the three level-three locusts, and then adjusted the [Black Dragon Cannon] to aim at them.

boom!
Compared with the rest of the locusts, these three third-level locusts pose the greatest threat, two of which are initial third-level alien species, and one is an ordinary third-level alien species.

If the Wolf King or Xiao Qingzi were left to face the situation alone, even if they were not hunted, they would probably be seriously injured.

Fortunately, he had the [Black Dragon Cannon] and the third-level blood vine, plus the [Red Fruit Wine] that could quickly restore his strength. Although he could not kill the three third-level locust species for a while, he still frightened them.

Otherwise, with the bloodthirsty nature of these locusts to devour everything, they would have been devoured long ago.
