The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 388 Set your will ablaze (I)

”¡BOOM!”

Cainʼs eyes widened as he saw the blast of light, followed by a massive explosion. His Ego Wave was strong enough to monitor the Azure State, and his entire body began to tremble as he realized that every life he had saved by making an impossible choice was now gone, erased from the face of the world.

However, things were far from ending as the Azure King immediately flashed to the northwest of the Cicada Forest after taking care of the witnesses in the Azure State.

Cain immediately focused his Ego Wave on that place and perceived an artificial mountain and, deep beneath it, a laboratory. That was where the people of the Azure Royal Family took children like Azlan to undergo all sorts of experiments.

”¡AHHHHHHHH!”

Another roar of rage and willpower emerged from the dark purple monster as his killing intent toward the Azure King exploded, and he flashed toward him with all his power.

”Hmph, are you forgetting about me!?”

Unfortunately for Cain, before he could reach the Azure King, the Blood King appeared before him and sent a ferocious kick that pulled him back.

Cainʼs eyes, overwhelmed with killing intent, focused on the Blood King, and a meaningful light appeared in them.

”As I assumed. Your mind and soul might be full of chaotic rage, severing rational thought, but that doesnʼt affect your battle awareness. That is why you can use unique techniques and even perform battle schemes.”

Unlike the Azure King, who could not figure out the key behind Cainʼs battle style during their entire fight, it only took a few short exchanges for the Blood King to decipher everything. Clearly, it was not just their raw power that put the Blood King and Azure King in different leagues.

Cain showed nothing to the words of the Blood King and just attacked him with pure killing intent, determined to erase him before going after the Azure King. The red light in his eyes kept growing more potent as the amount of Ego Wave he unleashed increased.

The Blood King saw how Cain sent a fist to his head, and he raised his left forearm, intending to use it as a shield. He was ready to fire a punch with his right hand as soon as Cainʼs fist made contact.

”¡BOOM!”

A massive shock wave echoed for thousands of kilometers, and the Blood Kingʼs eyes widened as he felt the dark purple monsterʼs punch land on his left forearm. The blow had simply too much power, and he was not able to maintain his stance in the sky, being sent flying away the next second.

Immediately after sending the Blood King flying away, Cain turned to the Azure King in the distance, and his killing intent burst as he flashed after the man.

The Azure King trembled with fear as he saw how the Blood King was sent flying away, and the dark purple monster approached at a simply breathtaking speed. However, just as Cain was about to reach him, the Blood King caught up.

Burning rage appeared in the dark purple monsterʼs eyes as he saw the Blood King instantly regain control over his body and again intercept him, being forced to respond.

”¡BOOM!”

The Blood Kingʼs eyes were cold as he smiled and received that strike head-on, generating an even greater shock wave.

”So, you can redistribute your Astral Wave muscles at the same speed as if it was pure energy, impressive, but so can I.”

Cainʼs rage was unyielding as he began to strike with all his power at the Blood King, but this one stood his ground, exchanging blow for blow.

Since the Blood King could no longer simply block Cainʼs strikes, this one should have been able to use The Flow to predict his enemyʼs movements, but it was not so simple. The Blood King could keep his muscles in a state of excitation, making it impossible for Cain to predict any movement from them.

Clearly, the Blood King had spent a long time preparing to counter the technique that frustrated his plans in the Blood Sea.

”¡BOOM!”

A massive shock wave echoed across the sky, unleashing gales stronger than those of a nuclear weapon, as the dark purple monster landed a hook on the Blood Kingʼs jaw. However, the Blood King was able to twist his neck to reduce the damage his body took before sending a knee strike right into Cainʼs abdomen.

Cainʼs body contorted due to the damage it took, but he stood firm as he connected an elbow strike on the Blood Kingʼs chin. The fight carried on like that, with both firing punches, kicks, elbows, and knee strikes, landing blows with the power of nuclear weapons.

Anyone seeing their battle from a distance would realize that both used a very similar martial style, and that was because they were using the Bloodflow Fury, a battle style honed by the Patriarch of the Blood Sea, capable of incredible might.

Cainʼs eyes burned with more and more red light as a sense of urgency appeared in them. He needed to push away the Blood King if he wanted any chance of stopping the Azure King.

The Blood King seemed to notice the urgency in the dark purple humanoidʼs eyes, which only made his smile grow even more sinister. He suddenly dodged one of Cainʼs blows and managed to rotate around him, appearing on his back before grabbing him.

Cainʼs eyes widened as he felt the strong hug from the Blood King and used all his strength to try to break out, but it was not so simple.

”Hahaha, you will miss the show if you keep struggling.”

Cainʼs eyes widened as he heard the voice of the Blood King, and his eyes turned to the distance as a new flash of light appeared along with an explosion, as the artificial mountain and everything beneath it vaporized from the world.

The explosion was deafening, but to Cain, all he could hear was silence as he realized what that explosion meant. All the children were gone. The Azure King got rid of them to erase any evidence of his involvement with The Organization.

Apex could see all that happened, and while many thoughts were crossing his mind right now, all that took a second place as he turned to the gate and saw the crack growing larger, reaching a full centimeter!
