Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 715: Chapter 715: I Was Just Afraid You’d Find Me Annoying

The next day, Huo Jingrui took Yunyi to try on the red wool coat. It fit perfectly and didn’t need any alterations.

Once Yunyi put on the bright red wool coat, it made her face look even fairer, truly making it hard for people to look away.

Huo Jingrui looked at Yunyi: ”Do you want to make a pair of pants to go with it?”

Yunyi shook her head and said: ”I already made a pair of black pants, they go perfectly with this coat.”

As soon as they got back to the courtyard with the clothes, Huo Jiayuan ran out: ”Fourth brother, Fourth sister-in-law, did you get the clothes back?”

Originally, Yunyi wanted to take her along, but Huo Jiayuan managed to restrain herself. Her fourth brother had been busy lately with little time to spend with her Fourth sister-in-law, and she didn’t want to be inconsiderate and insist on tagging along.

Yunyi took out the clothes: ”I tried them on, they fit very well, do you want to try them on?”

Huo Jingrui saw his sister’s eyes light up and coughed lightly: ”There are other colors of wool fabric over there, if you like, I’ll find time in a few days to take you to pick a color and make one too.”

But after thinking for a moment, he added: ”However, this style is not suitable for you, so don’t choose this style at that time.”

Initially, Huo Jiayuan was quite touched by what her fourth brother said, but hearing the latter part, she rolled her eyes, unseen by her brother: What does he mean it’s not suitable for me, he just doesn’t want me to wear the same clothes as Fourth sister-in-law.

However, thinking about receiving a free wool coat, this requirement could be ignored: ”Fourth brother, you better keep your word.”

She thought that there was still some time before her fourth brother and sister-in-law got their marriage certificate, so it should be in time.

Yunyi saw her so happy: ”You don’t have to wait for your fourth brother; he doesn’t have a fixed schedule these days. I’ll take you there tomorrow. Let’s go early.”

Huo Jiayuan was now delighted and hooked her arm through Yunyi’s: ”Thank you, Fourth sister-in-law.”

Huo Jingrui saw the two getting close, and a smile naturally appeared on his lips.

Yunyi, being a person of action, took Huo Jiayuan to the tailor shop by noon the next day.

Huo Jiayuan spotted a yellow wool fabric and immediately took a liking to it: ”Fourth sister-in-law, how about this color?”

Yunyi nodded: ”It complements your complexion.”

Huo Jiayuan, being straightforward, didn’t change her mind once she saw it, pulled the fabric, measured it, and quickly received a receipt.

In the afternoon, Yunyi had to go to work, so the two parted ways at the entrance of the residential area.

As soon as Huo Jiayuan entered the courtyard, she heard the phone ring. She rushed inside to answer: ”Hello, who is this?”

Jiang Jingya heard her daughter’s voice: ”Jiayuan, it’s mom.”

Upon hearing her mom’s voice, Huo Jiayuan’s voice unconsciously rose a little: ”Mom, how come you’re calling?”

Jiang Jingya replied in a not-so-pleased tone: ”Just because you don’t call home doesn’t mean I can’t call you, can I?”

Huo Jiayuan stuck out her tongue, feeling a bit guilty: ”I was just afraid you might find me annoying.”

Jiang Jingya didn’t fall for it: ”I see you’re having too much fun, completely forgetting about your mom, aren’t you?”

Could any conversation still happen like this, Huo Jiayuan quickly changed topics: ”Mom, Fourth sister-in-law just took me to make a wool coat.”

Jiang Jingya finally remembered the purpose of her call: ”How is your brother’s preparation going over there?”

Huo Jiayuan knew that her fourth brother and fourth sister-in-law were going to have a wedding banquet at the factory cafeteria in a few days: ”It’s all arranged. First, they’ll get the marriage certificate here and have a few tables, and then they’ll have another one when they return to Beijing for the new year. My fourth brother has it all under control, so don’t worry.”
