Chapter 1703 1703. A Way Out of the Ship

”Hey… What do you plan to…,” John hadnʼt completed his words when Willʼs sea cannon opened fire.

The sea cannon dealt extra damage to structures. It managed to blow a hole in the upper deckʼs floor. It did the same here. The wall at the end of the corridor was shattered by the sea cannon shot. That wall bordered directly the sea and this deckʼs position was below the sea level.

Under normal circumstances, the seawater from outside would have rushed in through the hole and pushed everyone back into the corridor. However, Willʼs Roaring Ocean was still in effect. The magical pressure from this skill was stronger than the sea outside, so everyone was pushed out through the hole instead.

Before they knew it, everyone found themselves underwater outside.

”Bloody f*ck! Your guy almost killed me!” Viking sent a complaint to John since Will was not on his friend list and he couldnʼt speak underwater. His HP was not full and the damage from Willʼs Roaring Ocean almost took out the HP he had left.

Instead of conveying Vikingʼs complaint, John sent Will praise instead, ”You, insane piece of screwball. Good job!”

Underwater, Johnʼs bloodline gave him much better movement speed. He activated the water propeller ability from his bloodline. His body shot in the water as if there was a propeller in his feet.

His Sea Deityʼs Arms still had a few seconds left. His water tentacles snatched Thelgrun, Viking, and Will before pulling them up toward the surface.

All the soldiers following Gridhacker and the others were below rare elite grades, hence they couldnʼt breathe underwater. They tried their best to swim up. Gridhacker and GraphicZ used magic scrolls that contained the underwater propeller spell. Like Everlasting Heavenly Legendsʼ members, they prepared these magic scrolls before going on a sea campaign. As for their other comrade, Soundeffect. He was still imprisoned by Johnʼs living water prison inside the flagship.

”Let me off! I can swim by myself,” Will said to John. He also had an underwater propeller magic scroll.

John acted like he didnʼt hear. He continued to move up rapidly with the three in tow. Something large and fast suddenly blocked his way. It was Kaghast in his shark form. The form gave Kaghast excellent movement speed underwater.

Thanks to his God-eye monocle and mana sense, John moved away in time when Kaghastʼs fist came punching. He was unhurt but the punch stopped his attempt from going up to the surface.

Kaghastʼs attack wasnʼt a simple punch, though. John might have dodged a direct hit, but the water at the end of Kaghastʼs fist suddenly vibrated before turning into a violent shockwave.

The shockwave threw John back into the deep. His Sea Deityʼs Arm also ended then. The water tentacles vanished. Thelgrun and Viking were left to swim by themselves. Thelgrun was a rare elite, so he was in no danger of drowning, but he wasnʼt a good swimmer. He flailed his arms chaotically without moving anywhere.

Will, who had used the underwater propeller magic scroll, came and grabbed Thelgrun.

”Go! Leave us!” John told him.

Will nodded. With Thelgrun in tow, he swam up at high speed but Kaghast again came to block the path.

This time, however, another party came to Kaghast from the side. It was Nogg. His trident shone with swirling green energy as he thrust at Kaghast. Kaghast blocked the attack and counterattacked with a punch. Underwater, Nogg could move faster. He dodged the punch and continued sending multiple thrusts at Kaghast.

At the same time, Kaghast sensed something else coming at him from behind. He punched back. His fist struck a large red-skinned shark that was about to bite him. That shark was Noggʼs pet, a level 81 rare elite blood shark.

Nogg and his petʼs interruption allowed Will to swim to the side and avoid Kaghast, but Gridhacker and GraphicZ came in his way then.

GraphicZ swung his broadsword while shouting something. Will couldnʼt hear it since they were underwater. His broadsword was stopped by Vikingʼs axe before hitting Will.

John also had an underwater propeller magic scroll. He didnʼt need it because of his bloodlineʼs ability, so he handed the magic scroll to Viking just now. Viking used it to move fast underwater and engaged GraphicZ.

John cast Repeating Mana Bullet at Gridhacker.

With the two occupied, Will swam to the side again to evade them before continuing up.

Kaghast couldnʼt let them take the President away. He again unleashed a shockwave punch that threw Nogg and his blood shark off balance. He then punched in Willʼs direction. A ki Bullet shot out of his punch. Th1s chapter is updated by n)ovel/\bin/\

Before the bullet hit, another thing came in its path. A humanoid-crustacean monster, Johnʼs Seaspawn. The ki bullet hit the Seaspawn hard, but its thick carapace greatly reduced the damage.

Kaghast wanted to give chase but a large alligator with metal-like scales and six legs came at him. This was Johnʼs dire alligator.

At the same time, something huge splashed into the water above them. It completely covered the water surface above. They looked up and saw it was a colossal crab. The crab grabbed Will with one of its pincers and pulled him and Thelgrun up.

”Hehe, you are in my world now,” John chuckled. He sent the Seaspawn to join Nogg, the blood shark, and the dire alligator against Kaghast.

”F*cckk…!!” Kaghast cursed. But since he was underwater, nobody heard.

Will and Thelgrun were placed on the sea bastionʼs back. They hid under one of its protected carapaces. The sea bastion then swam toward the Grey Jewel. Some enemy ships tried to get to the sea bastion but the sea bastion proved a capable adversary all by itself.

Will didnʼt stay idle. His Pirate Kingʼs level was 80, so he still had one unused skill from that special class. The level 80 skill was Naval Bombardment. This skill was similar to technocraftʼs bombardment but it conjured a ship instead of a round aircraft.

The conjured ship was galleon-sized. It opened fire at nearby enemies the moment it appeared. The ship sent several volleys of cannonballs rapidly, unlike the real ships which required a long reload time between each firing.

These volleys disrupted the enemy ships and allowed the sea bastion to barge through them. Allied ships arrived soon and provided support. No enemies could get to Thelgrun anymore.
