I AM A MAGE BUT WITH MILF SYSTEM

She knew he was right.

The sect’s prestige, resources, and her reputation—none of it could sustain a bidding war of this level for long.

Her thoughts spun faster than her senses could stabilize. Fear… shame… confusion… and unbearable humiliation swirled within her chest.

Her pride told her to stand her ground, but her instincts told her she was already outmatched.

Her voice reached out to him again.

“What… do you want?”

There was a beat of silence. A pause that made her heart pound harder.

Then Julian’s voice returned, soft, amused.

“Hmm… what do I want…”

He let the words hang in her mind, making her suffer more.

“That’s an interesting question…”

Another pause.

She waited silently.

“But tell me, Heavenly Moon—what could you possibly offer me?”

She gritted her teeth in frustration.

She really had no idea what she could offer that he didn’t already seem to possess.

Items? she thought. No… He probably had too many of those already. What could her treasury offer that would surprise someone like him?

Cultivation pills? Again, unlikely. His aura was too refined. He had either mastered pill refinement or possessed a source far beyond the reach of even the great sects.

So what…?

What did he not already have?

Her eyes narrowed slightly as her thoughts raced. And then, like a flame sparking in the dark, an idea struck.

Women.

Her lips twitched into a faint smirk, almost invisible beneath her golden aura.

Yes… of course.

No matter how powerful, how proud, or how untouchable a man acted… They all melt in front of beauty.

Especially if the beauty was rare.

Untouched.

She glanced toward her followers—her sect was overflowing with beauties. Core disciples blessed with talent and trained in grace, nobles who bowed before her, even princesses and cultivators from vassal sects eager to prove their worth.

Any one of them could be offered.

Could she bargain with beauty? Was that all this being wanted?

If so… I might still hold a card.

Julian smirked. He didn’t need to hear her words. He had already seen them—long before her lips moved.

She was trying to regain control. Clinging to pride. But desperation always had a scent.

And Julian? He could read her like a book.

So when her voice finally came, it held that strange urgency, laced with that newfound hope.

“How about… beauty?” she offered. “Any woman you desire… tell me her name. I will bring her to your bed.”

The silence that followed was thick and heavy.

Julian’s smirk deepened. He tilted his head, letting the silence linger, before repeating softly:

“Women, hmm…”

He let the silence linger again.

“Not bad,” he finally whispered. “Using women as a bargaining chip… not bad at all.”

“I’ve tasted almost anyone I have ever laid eyes on,” he continued.

“From noble daughters to queens. So unless you bring me some heavenly beauty I haven’t seen… or…”

His smile widened, though she couldn’t see it — she could feel it.

“Something more exotic. A scenario, perhaps. Something… twisted. Something that could make my heart flutter with satisfaction….”

Inside, Heavenly Moon’s chest tightened.

The casual way he spoke of women — of pleasure, of domination — as if they were tools, decorations… amusements.

It was infuriating.

But more than that—

It wasn’t lust that made his voice dangerous.

It was the boredom. Like nothing in the world could surprise him anymore.

And that made her realize something even worse.

Even if I give him what he asked for… it still might not be enough.

She felt a chill creep up her spine.

He was asking her to entertain him. To give him a fantasy. To twist herself, her sect, or her people into something that amused him.

But she had to do it. There was no choice.

So be it, she thought bitterly.

If he wants something twisted… I’ll give him something that even his corrupted heart won’t forget.

She inhaled slowly, steadying her aura. Then she reached out to him again, telepathically—voice softer now, no longer angry… just resolved.

“Tell me… What scenario would please you, Monk?”

Julian smiled, clearly enjoying the defeated expression on her face. She had submitted.

“Since you’ve agreed to it,” he said, his voice dripping with satisfaction.

“We can talk about this later. For now… let’s enjoy the auction.”

And with that, he severed the connection.

Heavenly Moon’s eyes widened as she felt his presence vanish completely from her mind. She tried to reach out again, but the connection was completely gone. She clenched her teeth, fury and panic mixing beneath her calm mask.

He cut me off—completely…

Up in the Sapphire Lobby, Julian leaned back in his chair, his eyes locked on the auction hall, which was still locked in anticipation.

They were all waiting.

Waiting for the next wave of madness.

For the next outrageous bid from the mysterious monk who had brought a saint to the edge of collapse.

Then—

A voice rang out from above.

“I concede.”

Gasps echoed across every tier of the auction floor.

“Wh-what…?”

“Did he just—”

“Concede?!”

Even Fi Feng’s jaw dropped.

“Con…cede?” He whispered aloud, as if trying to convince himself he had heard it right.

“Why?”

That single question echoed through every mind in the auction hall. They had watched him throw money like dust, bidding with arrogance that even saints didn’t dare show.

He had raised the price again and again, crushing Heavenly Moon without lifting a finger.

And now…

He conceded?

Just like that?

“Did he run out of crystals?” someone whispered.

“Impossible. No one bids five thousand like that unless they have ten times more,” another muttered.

“Then why? Was he afraid? Is he backing down now that he realizes who he was dealing with?”

A few nodded, though uneasily.

“Yeah… he must’ve realized he was pushing too far. Heavenly Moon is still a Saint—he wouldn’t want to provoke her too much.”

But even as they spoke, their own words sounded hollow.

Because deep down, they all knew—

There was no fear in him.
