I AM A MAGE BUT WITH MILF SYSTEM

Chapter 429: From enemies to allies

”And Iʼm the same.”

”I can ruin your life… for my amusement. For no reason at all.”

Heavenly Moon lowered her head, her spirits completely defeated.

He was right.

Completely, utterly and devastatingly right.

There were no grand justifications. No righteous goals. No divine cause behind his power. Just the honest, simple reality that he could—and that was reason enough.

She had tried to take the moral high ground. Tried to justify her choices under the facade of motherhood. She tried to protect her daughter by offering others like cattle, thinking that made her noble.

But now, standing before this man—this being who didnʼt hide behind excuses—she realized that they were not so different after all.

However, despite everything, something unexpected happened inside her.

She calmed, unnaturally.

The suffocating weight of shame, fear, and pride that had been pressing down on her… began to fade.

Not completely.

But enough.

Enough to breathe again.

It was strange, almost unsettling. As if someone else out there saw the world the same way you did. As if you werenʼt alone in your madness.

As if you could stop pretending now.

Julianʼs words, his dominance, his brutal honesty—they had shattered her.

But now, she no longer had to hold them together.

She could finally stop pretending.

And in that silence, a thought surfaced.

Maybe this is what I am.

Maybe the reason his words hurt so much… was because they represented her own hidden thoughts.

Maybe the reason she had fought so hard to deny it… was because she saw herself in him.

Twisted.

Capable of sacrificing others for one person she loved.

And now, sitting in front of someone who mirrored her darkness… It felt disturbingly natural.

So this is what it feels like… she thought, to speak without lying to yourself.

She exhaled slowly, eyes still downcast, but her voice steady.

”So what now?” she muttered. ”We can keep throwing our little philosophical, emotional bullshit at each other forever. You and I both know how to make words bleed.”

Her golden eyes lifted to meet his.

”Letʼs get it over with. What do you want?”

Julian stared at her for a moment. And then—he laughed.

”Itʼs refreshing,” he said, ”to talk to someone this interesting.”

His smile deepened, but this time—there was something else behind it.

Respect.

Twisted, perhaps.

But genuine.

Julianʼs eyes locked onto hers with an intensity that made the air between them charged. His playful smirk faded, replaced by a calm yet unyielding gaze.

”I want you.”

The words hung in the air, heavy and bold.

Heavenly Moon blinked, her breath catching in her throat. The sheer directness of his words startled her—not because it was unexpected, but because it stripped away all the games and masks they had been hiding behind.

For a long moment, she said nothing.

Her mind spun. To be wanted like this… by a man who had broken her defenses and seen her in every vulnerable way possible… it was terrifying and strangely intoxicating.

Her pride screamed warnings—how could she, a saint and leader, give in to such a demand? How could she risk losing the last shreds of control she had left?

Yet, beneath the surface, a flicker of something else stirred—a longing, quiet and hesitant.

She found herself inching closer—not because she was forced, but because she wanted to.

Julianʼs gaze softened, as if sensing the turmoil within her. He leaned forward just slightly, his voice lowering to a whisper meant only for her ears.

”This isnʼt about power or control. Itʼs about something more.”

He reached out a hand, offering not a command, but an invitation.

”Will you come willingly?”

Heavenly Moonʼs eyes flickered downward, then back up to meet his. The fight within her wavered, the tension in her shoulders easing just a fraction.

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, she saw not an enemy across from her, but something more complicated—an ally, perhaps, or something like that.

She could continue to resist, to guard her heart with iron and fire.

Or she could take a step forward into uncertainty, letting go of fear and embracing the strange promise Julian held out.

Her voice came, soft and steady, carrying the weight of surrender.

”Yes. I will.”

And with those words, the atmosphere shifted.

No longer prisoner and captor, but two souls tentatively crossing the line—each offering trust where there had only been war.

Slowly, without a word, she raised her hands and placed them gently into his.

Their fingers met.

Warmth.

Julianʼs smile deepened. His hands closed around her fingers, and he pulled her down beside him.

A soft gasp escaped her lips, but she made no move to resist. Her body tensed only briefly before relaxing, her cheeks flushing—deep red.

The Saint, who had once ruled from the highest clouds, now sat beside the man who had shattered her pride—and for some reason she didnʼt understand, it didnʼt feel wrong.

Her eyes closed instinctively, and a moment later, she felt his lips brush against hers. Her heart fluttered at the contact—it was just a soft touch, but it felt dreamlike, like falling into a dark abyss where only the two of them existed.

Julian started slow, teasing her with featherlight kisses that traced the corners of her mouth. Then, without warning, he deepened the kiss, pressing his lips firmly against hers as if claiming what had long been denied.

Her breath hitched, mingling with his as heat spiked low in her body.

The softness of their kiss slowly melted to fire as Julianʼs tongue met hers, and she responded with equal vigor.

”Mmh...” A low, breathy moan escaped her lips, muffled by their kiss.

His hand slid boldly to her breast, fingers squeezing the soft curve beneath the thin fabric. She gasped—a sharp, urgent sound that quickly turned into a deeper, more desperate moan as his touch sent shivers racing down her spine.

Julianʼs mouth left hers to trail hot kisses down her jaw and neck, marking her.

”Ahh…” she moaned, clutching at his shoulders, surrendering to the intoxicating rhythm.

Julianʼs fingers danced over her skin, rolling and pinching her nipples just enough to send her spiraling.

It had been ages since she had felt such touch—so gentle, so hungry... so consuming.
