Chapter 227 The Conspiracy of the Enemy

”This is natural, but with the treasure of our family, I believe that kid can’t afford to make big waves.”

Ao Ting took the conversation and said.

The other city lords and city special envoys present also expressed that they would step up their investigations on Luo Xiu’s city.

Afterwards, Aojia briefly explained the basic requirements for everyone, and the meeting broke up.

After this meeting, all the city lords and special envoys of the sixteen cities were quite certain that Luo Xiu would definitely surrender to them in the near future.

After all, without any supply of resources, a city cannot last long.

Even Sami, the lord of the Barren Shield City, and Qing Yuan, the lord of the Yuanbing City, have already begun to imagine the scene of them torturing Luo Xiu.

”The transportation of various resources today is normal. Through the accumulation of the past few days, the number of energy amethysts in our city has reached more than 5000, which is enough to use the energy barrier for a week, and various other resources have also increased steadily.”

”The opponent’s investigation on the Ximen side has increased, but under our tight defense, they only saw some of our garrison situation, and did not see any information in the city.”

”The same is true for the North Gate. No abnormality has been missed. The other party cannot detect our real information!”

”The same goes for the east gate.”

”After yesterday’s blow, the opponent at the south gate has restrained himself a bit!”

Early in the morning, Luo Xiu listened to Bai Yu and others report on all aspects of the city yesterday.

”Okay, keep it up, I will also pay close attention to the movements near all the city gates, if there is any abnormality, I will directly notify you by voice transmission, remember, this is our most critical moment, and no soldier can relax his vigilance !”

Luo Xiu put his hands behind his back, and after solemnly speaking, he let them go about their own affairs.

Due to the war these days, the number of residents in Luoxiu City has decreased.

For ordinary residents, every city still has basic respect. Even if a war breaks out, they still have the right to choose to move out of the city.

Except for the period when Luo Xiu’s city was completely blocked by the opponent’s battle spirit weapon two days ago, the residents in the city can still enter and leave the city normally during the rest of the time.

Of course, there will be certain risks. After all, there are troops of other races stationed there.

However, the entire Water Blue City is so big, and the surrounding roads extend in all directions, there are always people who can find some different ways to leave.

Luo Xiu didn’t care about this matter, the residents did have their own right to choose, and he would not force them to stay.

In such an extraordinary period like now, most of the residents actually don’t have much effect on a city, and they still consume a certain amount of food every day.

Residents who left the city at this time did not have loyalty to the city in their hearts, so Luo Xiu could only be happy about it.

In the morning, Mo Lisa carefully prepared a rich breakfast for Luo Xiu.

Luo Xiu was enjoying it, and suddenly felt a wave of fluctuations in the city’s technology tree in his mind.

So he gathered his mind and took a look, only to find that there are densely packed various artillery gathered outside the south gate, and they are constantly launching attacks.

These attacks all hit the energy barrier, but only made some small waves, and it was impossible to cause any damage to the defenders of the city gate.

Xu Shu was guarding the south gate. He methodically commanded various flying summoned beasts, elite catapults, and some corn siege engines to fight.

All kinds of flints and shells quickly flew towards the enemy’s artillery, and could blow up dozens of artillery in an instant.

”What are they trying to do? Are they deliberately using up our army’s strength? Or do they have other plans?”

Seeing this scene, Luo Xiu had some thoughts.

Although the Yanlong City Alliance is not particularly strong, overall, their IQ is still online.

After knowing the basic situation of his side of the Water Blue City, he will definitely not deliberately do useless work.

But after thinking for a while, Luo Xiu didn’t figure out what the other party’s goal was, so he didn’t waste his brain cells anymore.

”Soldiers come to block, water comes to cover, my city is strong enough, so I won’t be afraid of you cheating.”

After making up his mind, Luo Xiu continued to enjoy his delicious breakfast.

At this time, at the south gate, following Xu Shu’s ingenious command, most of the artillery and heavy artillery that attacked in front of them were destroyed, and some soldiers were also killed or injured.

But soon, Xu Shu saw that there was another long-range cannon in the opposite direction.

”What are these guys trying to do? Is there something wrong with sending them to their deaths in batches like this?”

A soldier couldn’t help but cursed.

”Never mind him, bomb them and it’s over!”

Another soldier said, and once again controlled the elite catapult beside him to attack the opposite side.

”No, there are sixteen powerful cities joining forces on the opposite side, and it is impossible to come here for no reason to die.”

Xu Shu faced the battlefield and began to think.

Suddenly, his eyes fell on the artillery fire fired by the opponent.

The artillery bombarded the energy barrier, although it couldn’t cause substantial damage, it could still arouse the energy barrier’s instinctive defense.

A flash of spiritual light suddenly flashed through Xu Shu’s mind, he suddenly realized something, and immediately asked a trusted lieutenant to command the battle, while he himself sat on the back of a purple spirit wolf that Luo Xiu had given him, and quickly moved towards The city lord hall ran.

”My lord! I have thought of the other party’s intention!”

Luo Xiu, who had just finished breakfast and was about to exercise his muscles and bones to prepare for taking the eighth-level strengthening potion, put down what he was doing and went directly to the gate of the main hall when he heard this voice.

”My lord! Their attack is actually trying to consume our energy amethyst.”

When Xu Shu saw Luo Xiu, he didn’t hesitate at all, and directly expressed his thoughts.

”Consume our energy Amethyst?” Luo Xiu was taken aback for a moment, then seemed to think of something, frowned and said, ”Please explain in detail.”

”Yes, my lord, you see, the defense resistance level of our energy barrier has reached a very high level now, so every time it is activated, it needs to consume an energy amethyst, and each time it basically lasts About 1 minute.”

”And now, the opponent’s attack is precisely timing, launching a fierce attack every minute, and this level of attack can just trigger the defense mechanism of the energy barrier.”

”If this continues, our energy amethyst will soon be exhausted.”
