Global Invasion: I Can Card BUG

Chapter 139 The Great Plane of Finn

Chapter 139 The Great Plane of Finn

The big plane of Finn.

In the central part of the Alesia Empire, halfway up the Dragon’s Back Mountain Range, the capital of the empire—Vos City is located here.

It was a majestic city, with towering walls made of huge white stones, the color of which was quite different from the dark red clods of the mountains.

Holy and dense spells are carved everywhere on the city wall. Soldiers in fine armor and holding sharp swords are patrolling the top of the city wall. The gate of the city wall is wide open, and people are coming and going at the gate.

Seen from a distance, the city is like a white spot in a sea of dark red, white and noble sitting in this unclean place.

It’s hard to imagine how much resources and manpower it would take to build this city in such a treacherous area.

But the city was indeed built here, which is the undoubted answer, even if the city is paved with the bones of countless laborers, it cannot conceal its brilliance at the moment.

In the city, there are various buildings all over it, such as the mage’s tower tens of meters high, the large red brick library with the spire, the magnificent aristocratic area, the holy church that shines in the sun, the royal palace and castle, etc., all of which belong to the empire. The most prosperous area of the capital.

If you have the powerful ability to ignore the forbidden air spell in the capital, fly in the sky, stand on the skyline and look down at the city, you will be able to see these prosperous buildings appearing in front of you at the first glance.

As for the dilapidated, unattended slums, even such a prosperous city cannot avoid such areas.

But who cares?

Most people will only see the good side, so don’t let the tattered side come out as a shame.

In the city of Voss, at the Dragon Church.

The structure of the church is made of an unknown spar in all directions. It shines with sunlight during the day, like a starry diamond. At first glance, people will only have beautiful and luxurious words in their minds.

On the top of the church, there is a stone dragon statue, climbing on the top of the church and looking down at the gate of the church with dragon eyes.

At this time, the door of the church was also wide open, but few people came in and out, which was very different from the crowded situation at ordinary times.

Today is not Dragon’s Rest Day, why is the church so strictly guarded all of a sudden, no one is allowed to enter or leave?

A priest guarding the gate was full of doubts. As the most devout believer under the dragon god (in his opinion), he was very disgusted with this behavior that prevented other believers from entering the church to pray.

”If the bishop doesn’t give me an explanation after today, I must go to the court to protest!”

The priest muttered and complained. Although he said so, he still followed the bishop’s instructions and guarded the church door in a disciplined manner.

According to the bishop, it seems that someone is coming over today, so they are required not to let anyone in or out of the church.

What kind of important person actually makes the bishop take it so seriously.

Just when the priest was wondering, he suddenly saw a carriage being driven over.

This is a very ordinary carriage, so ordinary that it can be seen everywhere on the street. The horses that drive the carriage are just ordinary retired army horses. In the eyes of the priest, only those dilapidated nobles or people who rent carriages can do it. Take this kind of driving seat.

Usually, only when the eldest prince with a high position and power, who is basically scheduled to be the next emperor, and several dukes of the empire come to the church, will the bishop take it so seriously.

But where would those noble princes and dukes ride in this kind of carriage?
But the type of carriage was indeed the same as the bishop had ordered in advance. Even if he didn’t want to, the priest still followed the rules and ran back to call the bishop to come and greet him.

That’s right, as the priest of the Dragon Church, he is not even qualified to treat these people.

The bishop quickly put on his divine robe, came to the gate, walked down the long steps at the gate, and came to the carriage.

I don’t know what the bishop said, anyway, the priest only saw his own bishop respectfully opened the door of the carriage, and let the people in the carriage come out.

This is a bunch of weirdos.

Regarding the first impression of these distinguished guests, the priest thought so.

In broad daylight, they were actually wearing black robes, so that other people couldn’t see their appearance and body clearly. Isn’t it a weirdo?
The bishop continued to stand aside respectfully, and after the guests got off the carriage, the bishop continued to lead the way for them.

With such a low profile, even when the Duke came over, the priest had never seen the bishop in his present appearance.

Although he saw the visitor, the priest was even more puzzled.

When the mysterious visitors came to the gate, he and the other priests clasped their fists in front of their chests in accordance with the etiquette in the church, and then spread their clasped hands and opened their mouths slightly, as if uttering some language.

But the priest’s eyes were still fixed on the mysterious visitors who entered the church, and his curiosity drove him to discover the identities of these people.

Inadvertently, it seemed that the pace of walking was a little urgent. The black robe worn by a certain visitor was suddenly blown by the wind, revealing a piece of red cloth under the feet, with fine patterns on it, red and white intertwined Interspersed in a certain style.

This, this is the cardinal’s robe!
The priest recognized this style of robe at first sight. Only cardinals who are responsible for managing church affairs in an entire region of the empire can wear this style of robe!

As the most loyal servant of the dragon god (in his own opinion), he certainly knows the rank and status represented by the various styles of robes, and even made up his mind to be a bishop before.

The priest raised his head cautiously and carefully counted the mysterious visitors in black robes.

Sure enough, there were a total of four mysterious visitors in black robes, exactly corresponding to the number of cardinals in the other four dioceses of the empire.

No wonder the bishop would come out to greet him in person. The status of a cardinal is second only to the pope, and it can be said that he is the four highest-ranking adults in the church.

The bishop is just the bishop of the church at the headquarters of the city of Vosdus, and the scope of power he has is only within this church, which is no match for the cardinals who are in charge of the entire diocese.

And inside the church, there are the Pope who can’t see the end of the dragon, and the cardinal who is in charge of the affairs of the diocese headed by the capital.

Four cardinals from other places, plus the cardinals and pope from the headquarters, all the top figures in the church gathered.

Is something big going to happen, is it going to start a war between gods?Or is the Lord God going to issue some important oracle?

The priest had endless doubts, but deep down he was more afraid of the unknown, but there was still no change on his face.

Suddenly, a warm force enveloped him, eliminating all the uneasiness and fear deep in his heart, and even the suspicion in his mind disappeared.

The priest seemed to have been sublimated, and what appeared on his face was the indifference of piety and the fanaticism of faith, and he no longer had any wild thoughts.

This phenomenon was also clearly noticed by other priests.

”Blessed is he, favored by our Lord.”

Just when the other priests were confused, a voice suddenly came. The priests turned their heads and saw the bishop who was leading the way coming to their side at some point and explaining to them.

”My lord is merciful!”

The priests shouted in a low voice, looking at the colleague who was favored by the Lord God, his eyes were full of envy.

But this priest has lost his mind, and only the belief in the gods is left in his heart, and there is nothing else in his heart.
