I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 1884: A Complicated World

The cold temperature of the scalpel made Senal feel as if he was facing a formidable enemy.

“Fosse didn’t tell me. He only said that this deal could change the fate of the Black Snake. I really don’t know anything else.”

“Moreover, the person who died in the Central Guards Brigade had nothing to do with me. It was all planned by Fosse. Even if you want to take revenge, you shouldn’t be coming for me.”

Lin Yi was silent for a moment. He seemed to have thought of something and asked,

“When you were in Panem, you were mixed up with the Meiguon military. If you obtained the ore, would you sell it or keep it for yourselves?”

Through the conversation just now, Lin Yi realized that there might be something fishy going on.

According to Fosse, he intended to use the Bass ore to acquire something that would significantly enhance Black Snake’s combat capabilities. In other words, the item they were about to exchange for was extremely important to them, far more valuable than money.

Originally, when they cooperated with the Meiguons, the only thing the Americans could offer was money, which clearly wasn’t what Black Snake wanted most.

So, there might be more to this situation than Lin Yi knew.

“The cooperation with the Meiguons was just a cover to leverage their military power,” Senal explained.

Fosse true goal was to get the ore and use them for a transaction, but it ultimately failed.”

‘As expected.’

Lin Yi thought to himself.

Black Snake’s obsession with the ore wasn’t due to a lack of funds to buy weapons. They needed the minerals for other transactions.

What exactly they could exchange the minerals for remained a mystery.

Lin Yi tightened his grip on the scalpel. “Go on, tell me everything you know.”

Senal looked flustered.

“I’ve already told you everything I know. I really don’t know anything anymore.”

Looking at the fear in Senal’s eyes, Lin Yi knew that he was no longer useful.

Since you don’t know anything anymore, there’s no point in keeping you. Go have tea with God.”

The sharp scalpel drew a bloody line across Senal’s neck.

His artery was cut open, and blood gushed out like a fountain. Lin Yi’s face was stained with his blood.

After throwing the corpse aside, Lin Yi wiped the blood off his face and looked at Song Jinmin.

“I’m guessing what Fossey went to trade for, it’s probably not a weapon. Do you have any thoughts on that?”

“My thoughts are similar to yours. Black Snake isn’t an organization that lacks money, and their firepower is very advanced. If they were just purchasing weapons, they wouldn’t be so careful,” Song Jinmin said.

“But I’m curious about who made the deal with them.”

“Could it be a higher-ranked organization on the blacklist?” Ning Che asked.

“That’s unlikely.” Song Jinmin gave a relatively clear answer.

“The blacklist is a highly credible organization. Rankings are important because they affect their overseas business. Therefore, organizations on the blacklist often use each other and generally don’t give their subordinates a chance to improve their combat capabilities. So, the person dealing with Black Snake is likely someone else.”

“Could it be a country?” Qiu Yuluo asked.

“Now, apart from overseas organizations, what’s left are international forces.”

We can t rule out this possibility, but there are also some secret organizations in the world. Their actions are more covert, and they rarely show themselves. With just the information we have now, it’s hard to guess who Fosse is dealing with.”

“Our next step is straightfroward, let’s just go and see.” Lin Yi said.

“The operation in Panem was orchestrated by him. Regardless of his purpose, this person must die.”

The group nodded. They came here to avenge Zhou Liang, so Fosse had to die!

Song Jinmin was silent for several seconds before nodding in agreement.

“Let’s go back to Doora first, then transfer to Qazar.”

After discussing the next steps, they drove back to Mogash and then transferred back to Doora.

On the way back, Song Jinmin sat in his seat with his eyes closed, not saying a word. He didn’t even tease the flight attendants, which made Lin Yi feel something was wrong.

At his level, he should handle everything with ease.

Whatever could make him show this expression must not be simple.

After arriving at the airport, they didn’t go back to the hotel because the private jet was parked there, ready to take off after a short rest. This saved them a lot of time.

Although the two cities were not far apart, Doora and Mogash felt like heaven and hell.

Even the sunlight here seemed warmer than in Mogash.

At the airport, they found a western restaurant to have a meal and rest before departing.

After the meal, Song Jinmin went to the restroom. When he came out, he ran into Lin Yi outside.

“F*ck, you scared me. Why are you still standing here?”

“I wanted to ask you about Qazar.”

“You mean Fosse’s deal?”

Lin Yi nodded. “You should have guessed something, right?”

Song Jinmin was surprised at Lin Yi’s insight. It was not any inferior to his father’s.

“I’ve guessed a little.” Song Jinmin said,

“In the world, other than the ore being sought after, people are also after the

gene sequence serum. It’s very likely that Fosse went to trade for it.”

“The gene sequence serum!”

Lin Yi knew about this.

Back then, the people from the Black Gold Corporation had made a deal with

the Mitsui family in exchange for the gene sequence serum.

“You know about this?”

Lin Yi nodded. “When we were tracking the Black Gold Corporation, they gave

up ore in exchange for the Mitsui family’s gene sequence serum.”

‘The serum developed by the Mitsui family is very rudimentary. Fosse probably wouldn’t regard them so seriously, let alone be so careful.”

After thinking for a long time, Lin Yi said,

“Who are the organizations in the world that have the ability to develop the original solution?”

“Among official organizations, only Meiguo has the ability to do this. No one knows whether others have the ability to research these things.”

“You mentioned the Mammon organization before. Do they have such capabilities?”

“They probably do, but it’s hard to say if it’s them,” Song Jinmin replied.

“However, I’m guessing it’s not likely them. If they could, they would use direct robbery rather than such a refined approach.”

Song Jinmin’s speculation resonated with Lin Yi.

Empty-handed manipulation would maximize profits, as two kilograms of Bass ore was no small amount. Using conventional means of exchange would require considerable resources.

Therefore, if they could resort to direct methods, they wouldn’t complicate things unnecessarily.

Therefore, it’s possible that another organization was involved in this operation, but they still didn’t know who it was.

“This world is really complicated!”
