I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 146: Chapter 146: A Woman’s Words Cannot Be Taken Back

Yao Donglai was stunned.

He thought that Lin Yi was a respectable businessman and would not be as ruthless as he was.

He thought that Lin Yi would definitely agree to his request after receiving those threats.

However, he did not expect this guy to be so ruthless!

He did not even need 10 million. With just 5 million, these people would need to start wondering if they would be able to see the sun rise tomorrow.

!!
Lin Yi did not actually know much about these things.

Qin Han had told him a lot about it.

It was also because he knew Qin Han that Lin Yi realized that the world of the rich was much darker than what he had imagined. It was much darker than what he had previously seen in the movies!

The office door was pushed open just as the atmosphere was getting tense. Qin Han walked in from outside.

When he saw Qin Han, Yao Donglai was stunned. He did not know who the person in front of him was.

However, Liu Qiang, who was beside him, immediately recognized Qin Han and gave a joyful expression.

“Young Master Qin, why are you here?”

“Brother Qiang, you know him?”

“This is the famous young Master Qin. You’ve always wanted to meet him.”

“Baldy Liu, why are you here?” Qin Han asked when he saw the two of them in a sorry state.

“Young Master Qin, we had a conflict because of a business dispute. You have to help us out.” Baldy Liu said

Qin Han looked at Lin Yi in confusion.

“What’s going on? Do these two idiots even have the right to talk business with you?”

Lin Yi shrugged. “I recently accepted a new project. They want to split it 50-50 with me. Don’t you find that interesting?”

Qin Han looked at the two of them like they were retarded. “Which one of you idiots said that?”

Qin Han looked at Liu Qiang and shook his head. “It’s not like you. You wouldn’t have the guts to do that. It’s probably the other guy.”

Yao Donglai and Liu Qiang were even more confused.

“Young Master Qin, what are you talking about? We’ve known each other for a long time. You have to help us.”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Qin Han cursed. “I don’t even have the right to talk business with him. What are you two talking about? Get out of here, don’t be an eyesore.”

Everyone was dumbfounded. Who was this Lin Yi?

Even Young Master Qin did not have the right to talk business with him?

“What the hell are you all standing there for? Are you waiting here for the New Year?”

“Yes, yes, yes, Young Master Qin. We’ll get out of here.”

“Wait,” Lin Yi said lightly. “When are you going to pay us back the money you owe us?”

“We’ll go back and get the money right now. We won’t be late,” Yao Donglai said with a shaky voice, almost peeing out of fear.

He might not be afraid of Lin Yi, but he was really afraid of Qin Han.

The title of Emperor of Zhong Hai was not for nothing.

With the Qin family’s status in Zhong Hai, they would not even need five million. With just a word, they could prepare a spot for him at the crematorium.

“Alright, let’s go.”

Seeing Yao Donglai and Liu Qiang leave with their men, Qin Han said,

“Do you need me to get someone to teach him a lesson?”

“No, they’re just a bunch of small fry. It’s not worth wasting time on them.”

“Then I won’t bother.” Qin Han stretched lazily:

“Look, I helped you settle such a big matter just now, so I’m not going to pay back the debt of over 100,000 dollars. That’s all. Don’t thank me too much. It’s my duty as a brother.”

“F*ck, can you have some humility?”

“What humility do you need to go out to do business? Will you succeed in business just because you are humble?”

Lin Yi gave her a thumbs up. “Awesome, I’m impressed.”

Ring, Ring, Ring…

Lin Yi’s phone rang. He immediately found a quiet place to answer the call when he realized it was from Ji Qingyan.

“Mr. Lin, what are you busy with?” Ji Qingyan asked with a smile on her face.

“Don’t call me Mr. Lin, I quit my job.”

“Huh? Why did you quit your job?” Ji Qingyan asked. “Did you get kicked out of school because you seduced a female student?”

Lin Yi did not know whether to laugh or cry. “Do I look like that kind of person to you? And with my looks, would I do something like that?”

“Then why’d you quit? A job as a university teacher is pretty good, isn’t it?”

“I’m just experiencing life,” Lin Yi said. “I will change my job after experiencing it. I can’t do it for the rest of my life.”

“That’s true.” Qingyan said. “Then what new job did you change to?”

“Errand boy.”

“Errand boy? Errand boy?”

“Yeah, errand boy.”

“Why are you doing this?” Qingyan was unhappy. “It’s so tiring to be exposed to the sun and wind every day.”

“I’m just experiencing life.” Lin Yi’s heart warmed. “I’m planning to go to the construction site to carry bricks after I’m done with this. It’ll be good for my body and wallet.”

“No, no, no, don’t move bricks. Your life is hard enough as it is.”

“Alright, let’s not talk about me right now. Are you calling me for something?”

“How could I do that? Since we’re here, let’s talk about your work.”

“Hmm? What do you want to talk about?”

“Aren’t you going to be an errand boy? I want to place an order.”

“What order? Get lost, don’t join in the fun,”Lin Yi said with a smile.

“No, I want to place an order. If you don’t let me do it, I won’t work with you anymore. I’ll go on strike, I won’t do the project anymore.”

“Okay, okay, okay. I’ll go to your company now. Wait for me in your office.”

“Hehe, that’s right, come quickly.”

“Just wait.”

After hanging up, Lin Yi went back to say goodbye to Qin Han and Wang Tianlong before driving to Chaoyang Group.

Lin Yi pushed the door open and entered the office.

He noticed that Ji Qingyan was looking at him with her cheeks cupped in her hands.

Ji Qingyan did not dress up at all when she was working.

Her hair was tied behind her head and she was wearing a simple semi-standard suit. In terms of style, she was no different from an ordinary employee. It was just that the quality of her clothes was better.

“Not bad, you’re pretty fast.”

“You can’t say that I’m fast, that’s unlucky,” Lin Yi corrected her.

“What’s unlucky about that?”Ji Qingyan said. “I’m just complimenting you.”

“You can’t praise me like that.” Lin Yi said. “You can say I’m faster, but you can’t say I’m too fast, understand?”

“I don’t understand.”

“If you don’t understand, then so be it.” Lin Yi said. “Aren’t you going to place an order? Hurry up.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll think of what to buy first.”

As she spoke, she fiddled with her phone for a long time before placing an order.

“Quick, quick, quick, I’ve placed the order, don’t let others snatch it away.”

“Don’t rush me.”

Because Lin Yi was close by, the order was sent to him, and he immediately snatched the order.

“Why is it all meat and vegetables? Is there a lack of vegetables in your house?”

“No.” Ji Qingyan pointed behind Lin Yi, “That room is a small kitchen. Sometimes, the staff will use it. It’s almost noon, and I’m prepared to show you my skills. This will be your reward for giving me such a big project.”

“I don’t have a good appetite today. I really don’t want to eat steak.”

“I can cook other dishes too. You’re looking down on me too much.”

“With your skills, you’re not even as good as me. I’m really afraid of going to the hospital.”

Ji Qingyan stared at her with her beautiful eyes. “You can cook?”

“What do I not know how to do?”

“Tsk, keep bragging. The food you make will definitely be inferior to mine.”

“Then don’t eat any after I finish cooking it.”

“Tsk, if you don’t want me to eat it, then I won’t eat it.” Ji Qingyan said proudly, “The food you make will definitely be like pig’s food–hard to swallow. Don’t think that I’ll fall for it this time.”

“Then just wait and see. Remember what you said just now.”

“Humph, a woman’s words cannot be taken back. I, Ji Qingyan, am a woman of my word.”
