Chapter 24: Close the Curtains

“Why did you put the coffee back?” Standing upstairs, Ji Qingyan asked.

“When I saw your stockings and coffee together, I instantly didn’t want to drink it.”

“You haven’t been to other women’s homes before, have you?” Ji Qingyan ridiculed.

“How did you know?”

“Women’s stockings are all kept in the refrigerator. This way, they are more durable,” Ji Qingyan said.

!!
“Besides, those stockings are unopened, they’re all new. What are you afraid of? Your thoughts are running wild.”

“Forget it, I’ll have a glass of water.”

Seeing that Lin Yi didn’t drink the coffee in the fridge, Qingyan could not help but laugh.

It looked quite cute.

“Sure, make whatever you want. I’ll be taking a shower later, it might take some time. My laptop is on the dining table, so feel free to use it.”

“Ok.”

Soon, the sound of running water could be heard from upstairs.

Lin Yi was bored, so he got up and walked around the villa. The air was fresh and the scenery was pleasant.

When he came yesterday, Lin Yi was still envious of Ji Qingyan’s villa.

However, now he didn’t feel that way anymore.

All of Jiuzhou Pavilion was his, so there was nothing to be envious of anymore.

Lin Yi had nothing to do, so he took Ji Qingyan’s laptop and found a movie to kill time.

About twenty minutes later, the sound of running water came to an end, and the door opened.

“There’s a new email for you on the computer,” Lin Yi said.

Ji Qingyan’s voice came from upstairs. “It should be a business document. Don’t worry about it, just keep doing your thing.”

“It doesn’t seem to be a business email from your company.”

“It’s not a business email?”

“It seems to be a delivery notice from a certain merchant. Your 36D Black Lace underwear has been delivered.”

For the next ten seconds or so, there was nothing but silent.

“No, don’t worry about it.”

Ji Qingyan felt like she was going crazy.

If It’s been delivered, then it’s been delivered. Why did you use your email to remind me of it?!

Why did you send the goods at this time?!

Are you trying to kill me?!

In reality, Ji Qingyan would get this reminder every time she bought something, but she didn’t take it seriously before this.

“President Ji, there’s another email on your computer…”

Before Lin Yi could finish his sentence, he heard the sound of footsteps coming from the second floor.

Ji Qingyan ran in front of Lin Yi with a towel wrapped around her body. She grabbed the laptop from Lin Yi and peeked at it.

It was junk mail.

“It’s just junk mail. Why did you call me?”

“You can’t blame me for this,” Lin Yi said innocently. “I was about to tell you that it was junk mail when you came down.”

Lin Yi looked at her up and down. “You didn’t buy something shady, right? Were you afraid that I’d see it?”

“What are you talking about? I’m not the kind of person you think I am.”

“Then why are you so nervous?” Lin Yi smiled. “Did you buy an electric boyfriend?”

“Electric boyfriend? What is that? Can a boyfriend charge?”

Ugh..

“Let’s change the topic, let’s not talk about the boyfriend.” Lin Yi said

“You haven’t made yourself clear yet, so why should we change the topic?” Ji Qingyan replied.

“I don’t want to change the topic either, but I don’t mind if you stay naked, Lin Yi said with a shrug.

Ji Qingyan lowered her head abruptly and noticed that the clip on the towel was a little loose. It did indeed look like she was naked.

“Don’t look at it so blatantly.”

“It exposed itself. What could I do?”

Ji Qingyan also knew that she was in the wrong. Thus, she carried her notebook and went upstairs.

When she came down, she had already finished tidying up.

She was wearing a beige body-hugging dress that accentuated her curvy figure.

Her hair was tied up in a bun and there was a diamond brooch on her chest. One look and one could tell that it was expensive.

“What do you think of this outfit? Give me some advice.” Ji Qingyan asked.

“Why do I feel like you’re not going to a class reunion? It’s more like a beauty contest.” Ji Qingyan said

“That’s exactly what I want. A lot of girls are going. I can’t let them beat me.” Lin Yi said

Lin Yi thought about it and realized that Ji Qingyan had a point.

People nowadays were very materialistic and judged others by their looks. It was understandable why she was dressed like this.

“I think it’s pretty good. Let’s go if you’re ready.”

“If I remember correctly, you still owe me eight s-squats.”

“Don’t worry, I didn’t forget.” Ji Qingyan’s face was a little red.

“It’s just eight s-squats. I’ll return it now so you won’t have to use it again.”

“Since you said so, I won’t stand on ceremonies.”

With that, Lin Yi leaned back on the sofa like a grandpa. “Please start your performance.”

Ji Qingyan pulled the stool over and was about to start when she suddenly stopped what she was doing.

“Go close the curtains and check if there’s anyone outside.”

Lin Yi was speechless. “You’re just doing an s-squat. Why do you make it sound like you’re having an affair?”

“Have you forgotten the last time my dad saw me? My mom called me a few times after the incident, and I’m about to be shamed,” Ji Qingyan said.

“If someone else sees me again, I might as well drop dead.”

“Alright, since you’ve said that, I’ll just work hard and close the curtains.”

“You’re the one who’s having fun, alright?”

“Don’t say that either. As the president of a company, keeping your promise is a most basic character trait you should have.”

“Tsk, you only know how to make excuses.”

Lin Yi closed the curtains on both sides of the floor-to-ceiling windows. The brightly lit villa turned dark in an instant.

Ji Qingyan held onto the chair, her face slightly red. She twisted her plump waist and did eight s-squats.

Compared to the first time, Ji Qingyan’s movements were much better, and her figure was exquisite.

Ji Qingyan’s movements were indeed more attractive than those of the female streamers.

“I’ve fulfilled my promise. We’re even.”

“Ok.”

“Wait for me for a while, then we’ll set off.”

Ji Qingyan went into the fridge and took out a pair of black stockings. After this, she put them on her slender legs to accentuate her slender figure.

After putting them on, Ji Qingyan looked at herself in the mirror in a smug manner. She was very satisfied with her appearance.

“Let’s go to Zhonghai Hai Luhui.”

Zhonghai Hai Luhui was a five-star restaurant that specialized in seafood. It was awarded three Michelin stars in the previous year.

The taste and consumption were top-notch.

Before leaving, Lin Yi pointed at the curtains. “Aren’t you going to open it?”

“No, it’ll be dark by the time I get back. I’ll save myself the effort.”

Lin Yi nodded and walked out first.

However, he stopped as soon as he stepped out of the house.

“Why aren’t you moving?” Ji Qingyan asked from behind.

“I just saw someone I know.”

“You have friends who live here?”

“I just met him yesterday, but you might be more familiar with him.”
