Global Arrival: Survival on a Desert Island

Chapter 119

Chapter 119
Arrange preparations, set development strategies, inspect work...

Various jobs made Lin Feng, the ’lord’, not so comfortable.

However, this is also an inevitable thing. The development of the island is not completely on the right track now, and he still needs to support him wholeheartedly to get on the right track.

Before that, Lin Feng also used the population resource card that Xiaosu gave him.

The male to female ratio is set at 20:80, with twenty males and eighty females.

There are enough men on the island, so there is no need to worry about the labor force.

The focus is on the future development. Lin Feng pondered for a while before deciding on this ratio.

If it wasn’t for knowing the strength of the population obtained from the resource card, Lin Feng would have wanted to replace all the hundred with women.

However, after using the population resource card, this part of the personnel did not appear out of thin air, but only appeared two days after boarding.

According to the previous two encounters, Lin Feng probably knew the operating principle of this world.

This part of the population most likely drifted from other places, and ’just happened’ to find him on this island.

Looking at the newcomer who will appear in two days, Lin Feng no longer cares about him, and continues to be busy with his own affairs.

Under the violent excavation of hundreds of people, the mineral collection work on Wandering Island has completely dug out the mineral veins before the sun sets.

4957 copies of pyrite are currently being refined and separated in the smelter.

According to the refining ratio, very pyrite can produce one part of sulfur, while sulfuric acid needs to be refined in a chemical plant.

However, the chemical plant has not yet been produced, and he does not need sulfuric acid now, so all the pyrite will be converted into sulfur.

In this way, Lin Feng immediately had 497 parts of sulfur in his hands. Adding the saltpeter and charcoal before, Lin Feng calculated that he could produce about [-] kilograms of gunpowder.

At present, the sulfur is enough, but the saltpeter has become a shortcoming. If the saltpeter can be supplemented, Lin Feng can get at least another [-] kilograms of gunpowder.

As for the saltpeter issue, Lin Feng doesn’t need to worry about it for the time being, because according to what Luo Kun said, there are traces of saltpeter mines near the pirate base camp.

After all, pirates have no source of ammunition other than plunder, but plunder is a very uncertain thing.

Therefore, there is a gunpowder factory in the pirate camp. When the time comes to win the pirate camp, Lin Feng will have a fixed source of gunpowder.

Looking back at the distribution of the existing gunpowder, Lin Feng intends to use all of it to make grenades for naval guns and bullets for M1 rifles.

A portion of gunpowder is one kilogram, and a portion of gunpowder can make two grenades, or fifty bullets.

Lin Feng made 150 parts of gunpowder into [-] grenades, and the remaining [-] parts into [-] rounds of bullets.

For this part of the bullets, another [-] rounds were extracted for daily training, and the remaining [-] were used for combat use.

The appearance of grenades and rifle bullets also meant that Lin Feng’s current strength had skyrocketed a lot.

Holding the first manufactured M1 rifle and bullets, Lin Feng led a team of personal guards to the shooting range for testing experiments.

In the brightly lit shooting range, everyone looked at the special weapon in Lin Feng’s hands and expressed curiosity.

what is this?It looks like a musket, but why does it look a little different?
Looking at the curious eyes of the crowd, Lin Feng introduced it to everyone while checking the weapon.

”This is a newly developed weapon called the M1 rifle. This weapon will be delivered to you tomorrow.”

”You have to train hard these two days, this thing is a killer weapon.”

As he said that, Lin Feng took out another bullet, pulled the bolt of the gun, and put the bullet into the gun.

As the first generation of rifles, there is no such thing as a magazine or a magazine.

It can only be fired once and then loaded again.

Everyone was very surprised when they saw the ammunition loaded from the butt of the gun.

What they had learned before was to install ammunition from the muzzle of the gun, but the one the lord is holding now seems a little different?
And looking at this special bullet filling mechanism, I don’t know how many times faster than before.

Load, aim.

Lock the target from the machine sight of the rifle, three points and one line, hold the rifle steady, and pull the trigger.

”boom--”

”Ding--”

A crisp gunshot came into everyone’s ears with the sound of the target being hit.

The biggest advantage of metal armored bullets is that they are not as smokey as muskets after firing, which makes it impossible to aim well.

The barrel of the rifle is rifled at more than [-] mm, and the impact and combustion of the bullet can be fully exerted in the barrel, bringing enough power to the bullet.

The target is made of a two-millimeter iron plate. At a distance of less than 30 meters, the iron plate is directly punched out with a hole the size of a thumb.

When the guards beside him brought the target back, everyone exclaimed.

Lin Feng rubbed his shoulders and explained to everyone.

”The M1 rifle is dozens of times stronger than the weapons you used before. It has a very long range and can reach targets over 600 meters away with a guaranteed hit rate.”

Listening to Lin Feng’s introduction, everyone’s eyes showed eagerness.

How could they not like such a powerful weapon?

”There is still a little ammunition here, each of you come up and test fire, feel the feeling.”

After Lin Feng tried shooting, he handed the weapon to Eleven beside him, motioning him to try it.

And Lin Feng just acted as an instructor at the side, teaching him how to use it step by step.

”It’s loaded first, pull here, the bolt, pull it up first, then pull it back.”

”Then the previously fired shells are ejected automatically, and then you just reload, with the arrow pointing forward, and then reset the bolt.”

”Then there is aiming, the aiming is the same as before, no change, three points and one line, steady, and then pull the trigger.”

”boom--”

”Ding--”

In an instant, there was another hole in the target.

”Good job, let’s do it again.”

Lin Feng praised and encouraged him, and signaled Eleven to do it again.

The number of Lin Feng in the first batch of armed personnel was set in two squads, each with ten people.

Here, Lin Feng made a set of fifty rounds of ammunition, tried firing one round by himself, and handed over the rest to them for practice.

As a decision maker, Lin Feng doesn’t need to specialize in this skill, he just needs to teach the people under him to kill the enemy.

Therefore, Lin Feng didn’t intend to waste this batch of ammunition himself, but handed it over to them for training in target shooting.

Try to make them more accurate and faster.

This can make unexpected decisions on the battlefield.

The manufacture of naval gun grenades has been completed a lot, but the transformation of naval guns has not yet been completed.

It is estimated that the training of the howitzer will not be carried out until tomorrow.
