Chapter 49

Chapter 49
After a brief chat with Xiaosu, Lin Feng turned his attention back to himself.

With the continuous adjustment and bombardment of the trebuchet, Wandering Island is already a sea of flames.

There are raging fires burning all over the island, and the cannibal survivors are desperately trying to get water to put out the fire.

However, under the continuous blowing of the sea breeze, the fire on the island became more and more intense, with no intention of stopping at all.

The black smoke from the burning on the Wandering Island has flowed hundreds of meters high, and the smoke column can be clearly seen tens of kilometers away from the island.

The [-]-meter-high smoke column brought a full sense of oppression to everyone.

Fortunately, Lin Feng’s island was at the upper wind, so the exhaust gas from the smoke column could not reach him.

Seeing that the fire will burn at least for a while, now that the fire has been successfully built, the next step is to wait quietly for the fire to burn.

Greeted back, except for the savages who need to be alert, all the others returned to the camp to rest and prepare for the battle in the afternoon.

The flames were burning, plus the midday temperature.

Although he was at the windward position, standing by the sea, Lin Feng could still feel the waves of heat coming from the other side.

The fire burned for four or five hours, and it was not until the last hour before the island was about to leave that Lin Feng was ready to land on the island for the final search.

After several hours of scorching fire, the cannibal survivors on the island have already suffered a lot of casualties.

At least I saw a few less cannibals in the perspective.

There were only seven people on the island this time, Lin Feng and the six people who trained in the morning.

The other savages, Lin Feng, arranged them on a wooden boat, and waited for them to evacuate at sea after they landed on the island.

Stepping onto Wandering Island, the vegetation on the shore has been burnt to black at this moment.

The burned out sparks and charred earth paved a red and black road.

”Remember what I said, follow me, don’t fight when you meet the enemy, we will withdraw after we get the things, understand?”

”Minbai!”

”Okay, water to cool down.”

Lin Feng nodded, took out a few barrels from his backpack, and started pouring water on each other.

A wet body can reduce the heat wave to a certain extent.

At the same time, in order to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning, Lin Feng also put wet cloth on each person to cover their mouth and nose.

After getting ready, Lin Feng led the crowd towards the location of the treasure chest.

Taking advantage of the perspective information, Lin Feng tried his best to avoid the location of the cannibal survivors.

But the further you go in, the greater the fire, and the route everyone is going forward has to take a detour.

But in this way, there are very few camp routes leading to the cannibal survivors.

Seeing the cannibals watering the water on the road he must pass, Lin Feng thought about whether to take action.

After looking at the people around him, they were relatively scattered. After thinking for a while, Lin Feng decided to give it a try.

Raise the iron crossbow and aim at the target.

After the hiss of a sharp arrow piercing through the air, the unsuspecting cannibal warrior suddenly froze.

He wanted to shout something, but no sound came out. Then his vision blurred and his body fell limply into the fire.

After hitting the target, Lin Feng did not pause, and immediately wound the second arrow.

The burning sound of the flames covered up the movement just now, and the cannibal survivors nearby did not notice anything unusual.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Lin Feng immediately shot a second sharp arrow.

But this time the aim was a bit off, and the arrow flew past the opponent.

If you find an abnormal cannibal warrior, be alert immediately and observe the situation around.

But there was a sea of scorched earth and fire all around, and no enemy was found.

When he was still in doubt, a third arrow flew from afar and pierced directly through his chest.

”Go up and make up the knife, the speed is fast.”

Seeing this, Lin Feng got up immediately, and while running, he wound up and prepared the fourth iron arrow.

The two cannibals on the only way have been cleaned up, and there are no other cannibals in it.

Taking advantage of no one’s time, Lin Feng planned to put the treasure chest in his backpack as soon as possible and evacuate earlier.

The moisture on the body can’t last long under the scorching heat wave, and staying on the island for a while will be more dangerous.

After passing through the scorched earth, Lin Feng and others arrived at the original camp of the cannibal survivors.

This place is now in ruins, with fires burning everywhere.

Lin Feng is not interested in the things in the camp, he only has treasure chests in his eyes now.

Following the guidance, the seven people came to a stone house.

There are no flammable items here, and there are only a few scorched marks on the walls from the fire.

Pushing open the stone door, a puff of smoke suddenly burst out from inside.

Unable to hide in time, Lin Feng couldn’t open his smoky eyes.

Tears were flowing from the corners of his eyes because of the smoke, and Lin Feng quickly ordered the wild man to ventilate the room.

”Quickly, ventilate the inside, otherwise we will be smoked to death if we go in.”

While speaking, he did not forget to give tools to the savages, and handed them a few planks to quickly fan the wind to remove the smoke.

After a while, the smoke in the stone house was almost removed.

Lin Feng also recovered this time, and went into the room to check.

Looking at the wooden frames and barrels in the room, Lin Feng’s expression brightened.

Get rich!
Except for the neatly arranged ten treasure chests, these wooden shelves are filled with all kinds of weapons and equipment.

It’s the same style as worn by the cannibal survivors before.

”Quickly, choose a suit from above and put it on.”

Lin Feng didn’t put all the backpacks in immediately, but asked the savages to change into a set first.

After all, we are still in the danger zone. More equipment will ensure more combat power.

At the same time, Lin Feng was not idle, and put ten treasure chests into his backpack first.

One silver, three iron, and the rest are three bronze and three stone.

Lin Feng planned to save these treasure chests and try to open them again when he had saved up to a hundred.

After recycling, Lin Feng looked at the wooden barrel in the house.

What will be in these barrels?
With curiosity, Lin Feng opened it to check.

After opening the wooden barrel, I saw that the inside was full of brown stones.

Picking up a piece to check, a perspective explanation pops up in the field of vision.

[Iron ore: After being fired and refined, it becomes an iron block. 】

Seeing the reminder, Lin Feng’s eyes lit up. He was still thinking about the production of iron blocks before.

Now the iron ore in the barrel just helped him solve it.

Without saying a word, he put all the ores in the barrel into his backpack.

There are [-] pieces of ore after a barrel of iron ore is taken back to the backpack. Looking at the remaining seven wooden barrels, this is a fortune!

Quickly open the remaining wooden barrels to recover iron ore, until the last wooden barrel is opened, the contents inside will change.

Picking up a bucket of gray-white crystal ore and checking it out.

【Saltpeter: An important raw material for making gunpowder. 】

”Fuck?! Saltpeter?”

It is impossible for Lin Feng not to know the importance of this thing. It can be used for alchemy and gunpowder, and it can be used as fertilizer after refining.

In addition to these, the most important thing is that this thing has a probability of exploding when it encounters an open flame.

Lin Feng thought of the fire he set, and his back felt a little cold, but luckily it didn’t burn here.

Otherwise, all the equipment in the house would have to be reimbursed if it was blown up.

While thinking about it, Lin Feng shivered, and quickly put the saltpeter into his backpack.

It’s safest to put things in a backpack.
