Chapter 31 The Real Challenge

At night, Lin Feng held the second Chinese class in the open space of the camp.

In addition to letting the savages revisit the pronunciation of Yuan Yun, they also set up to learn the pronunciation of some simple bytes.

Under the clairvoyant translation, Lin Feng could easily let the savages understand the pronunciation and meaning of each word.

With weird pronunciations, the savages tried to pronounce each other.

”Nihao...”

”Slanting...”

”Hello...”

……

It may be difficult to teach wildlings to read, but it will be much easier to teach them to speak Chinese.

As long as they follow along, they can quickly remember the meaning of many words.

After studying until late at night, Lin Feng announced that get out of class was over and told everyone to go back to sleep.

Lying on the wooden bed, Lin Feng searched again before going to bed, but there was still no clue.

”call……”

With a long sigh, I thought I would try to search again tomorrow.

Close your eyes and slowly fall asleep.

……

”Brother, why did you come here? I’ve been waiting for you for a long time...”

”Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...”

”Boom-ka-”

In his sleep, Lin Feng was suddenly awakened by a burst of thunder.

Sitting on the bed, holding his forehead and closing his eyes, he recalled the dream just now, as if he had a nightmare.

But that’s not the point, Lin Feng got up and pushed open the wooden door of the room to see the outside world.

At this moment, the island has started to rain lightly.

Looking at the sky, it is already pitch black at this moment, and it is impossible to tell the current time.

In the pitch-black environment, only the bonfire in the camp kept burning for illumination.

But when the rain starts to get heavier, sooner or later this light will be extinguished.

And the savages living on the opposite side were also awakened by the thunder at night.

Throwing through the wooden window, Lin Feng greeted the other side.

”It’s thundering and raining, it’s okay, go back and continue to sleep.”

”howl!”

With a distorted tone, the savage responded to Lin Feng’s words in Chinese for the first time.

Hearing the response in Chinese, Lin Feng smiled, these guys are quite quick to learn, and they will come in handy now.

After closing the wooden window, Lin Feng was ready to go back to sleep.

As soon as he lay back on the bed, before Lin Feng could close his eyes, a sharp whistling sound rang in his ears.

”Hush-hush-hush-”

Three beeps!

This represents an emergency and requires immediate assembly.

Lin Feng got up quickly and rushed to the whistle point.

As soon as he ran out the door, the savages on the opposite side also came out of the building.

Lin Feng took some torches made of twigs and hay from his backpack, and put them on the fire for lighting.

Although the distance of less than [-] meters is very short, there is no light in this dark night, and it is estimated that I will trip after just two steps.

With torches, everyone rushed to the whistle point.

It was Song Si and Song Liu who sounded the warning whistle. Seeing them, Lin Feng asked.

”What happened...”

But before he finished asking, he had already seen the ’emergency’ situation.

The tide has risen several meters, submerging the original sunshade cabins and lighting bonfire spots.

And with the reminder of the perspective, the group of sea sharks that were hundreds of meters away from the island has quietly approached in the night.

Looking at the rising tide and sea sharks, Lin Feng’s face was serious.

The challenge of being number one on the leaderboard...is really not that simple.

The battle yesterday afternoon made him think that the challenge of ranking first was nothing more than that.

But it now appears that the real challenge is at night.

”Haixing, Song Yi, Song Er, the three of you take one to check on other coasts.”

”But don’t get close to the ocean. When the water rises, step back. Take five steps back and blow the whistle.”

”The others and I went back to the camp and sealed all the doors and windows on the first floor.”

With the order, the savages immediately turned around and went to execute the order.

Back at the camp, Lin Feng handed over various materials to the people to block the doors and windows to prevent the seawater from pouring into the house.

At the same time, he is still thinking about how to deal with tonight’s battle.

With the building format of the dormitory building, it is not a good place for defense if the sea shark swims here while taking advantage of the tide.

The place is narrow, concentrated together and unable to launch an attack well.

However, it is easy to be besieged separately and cannot provide effective cover.

It’s not Lin Feng’s character to passively hide in the house, but it’s not his character to go out to die.

The only place on the island that can be defended is the soil slope in the southwest.

This piece is the mound that was raised by the impact between the original island and the island.

It is about four or five meters high from the sea level, and it is also the only highland on the whole island.

”call out--”

……

Two whistles sounded at the same time, which also meant that the tide had advanced four to five meters in such a short time.

Although the area of the island has expanded several times, according to this high tide rate, it will take less than 10 minutes for the seawater to submerge to the entrance of the camp.

The rising tide at night is both a crisis and an opportunity for Lin Feng.

The sea shark was so messed up yesterday afternoon, and it will definitely not attack rashly again.

And from the perspective just now, the rest of the sea sharks must have taken advantage of the night and high tide to sneak attack.

If you can take advantage of this opportunity to wipe out the sea sharks, the threats and challenges of the sea sharks may be completed at the same time.

After thinking for a moment, Lin Feng decided to take a risk and prepared to go to the mound southwest of the island to face the sea sharks.

Seeing that the waterproofing of the dormitory building was almost done, Lin Feng immediately called for the few people who were on guard outside to call back to the mound for defense.

Lighting, traps, protection, none of these are indispensable.

Lin Feng quickly placed the equipment on the soil slope, and several bonfires rose from the ground, illuminating the surrounding environment red.

As the rain intensified, the erected bonfires also showed signs of being extinguished.

Seeing this, Lin Feng quickly took out his tool hammer to build an inverted triangle rainproof layer to shield the fire from the rain.

The rain-proof wooden layer, although it will block a certain amount of brightness, is better than completely extinguishing and losing sight.

”A few more people, dig two holes here, fix the fishing net here, and throw out the main body of the fishing net.”

As he spoke, Lin Feng took out the two special fishing nets from his backpack.

Since the sea sharks did not take the bait in the afternoon, he took back the fishing net to prevent the sea sharks from destroying it at night.

With the new order, the savages began to work one after another.

As the whistle blows more and more intensively, this means that the tide is rising faster and faster.

”Come here and blow the whistle, call for the alert to come back.”

”call out……”

A long whistle sounded, and after the few people who were on guard against the tide heard it, they left and returned to the location where the whistle sounded.

The rain is getting heavier and heavier, and the torch in his hand has been extinguished.

Only four campfires remained, flickering in the wind and rain.

As the tide rose, it soon touched a quarter of the mound.

The group of sea sharks waiting for an opportunity in the shallow sea saw that the tide was about to rise, and began to follow the rising tide and head towards the island.
