Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2230: Chapter 1036: Traitor (2)

This kind of ”melee” also follows ”rules” and is divided by ”rank”.

The weak are the first to be killed.

Sects with lower rankings exit the stage first.

This is a customary tactic from the old days of the Asura battle.

And this clearing follows the ”one sword” principle.

Each major sect, led by their prodigies, clears the field and when encountering weaker disciples from lower-ranked sects, they strike with ”one sword”.

Only one sword.

If the opponent can withstand it, they qualify to stay and continue the fight.

If they can’t withstand it, they leave the stage immediately.

This clears out the weak.

It also prevents the strong from engaging in life-and-death struggles too early, allowing the weak to take advantage of the chaos, which is ”a farce”.

To some extent, this also solidifies each sect’s ranking.

Clearing according to established rankings prevents the sword discussion rankings from deviating significantly.

All sects, including the four great sects, tacitly accept this rule.

This is crucial for the sect sword discussion.

Even the four great sects won’t arrogantly break the rules to avoid unnecessary variables.

Thus, the Asura battle initially shows its bloody nature, beginning the first round of simple ”butchery”.

In the mountains, over the creeks, in the swamps.

Blades flash, spells are cast, and fists and feet clash.

But all are just probing, withdrawing after contact.

When encountering the weak, they decisively take their lives.

When encountering the strong, they stop at a point and cease their actions.

Soon, throughout the Asura battle, all disciples of the weaker sects and those with insufficient strength were swept away.

However, there were also some who weren’t particularly weak but were implicated because of certain people.

Some disciples who had learned concealment technique tried to hide using their methods.

It was good if they could survive a bit longer, get a higher rank, and earn more points.

In the past, this was somewhat effective.

But now it’s useless.

Because Mo Hua was too skilled at concealment.

So all the major sects paid great attention to ”concealment” techniques to kill Mo Hua.

They prepared numerous methods specifically to counter Mo Hua’s concealment.

Mo Hua had cornered himself.

These people had no path to walk.

Some concealed disciples, whether using the concealment technique or spiritual tools, were far less skilled than Mo Hua.

They couldn’t ”hide” for long before being discovered and killed with a sword.

Moreover, the concealment technique incited great hatred.

Because some sect prodigies felt humiliated by being ”toyed” with Mo Hua’s concealment technique, they couldn’t tolerate others concealing in front of them.

Especially Shi Tiangang.

Seeing someone conceal in front of him infuriated him.

”Of all people, you learn from Mo Hua?”

In the Asura battle, he specifically hunted concealed cultivators.

Additionally, disciples with good movement techniques suffered because of Mo Hua.

Since that day when Feng Zichen from the Carefree Sect almost sprained his wrist forming sword flowers into snowflakes, unable to even cut off a corner of Mo Hua’s robe, he couldn’t tolerate anyone showing off their movement technique in his presence.

In the Asura battle, if other weaker sect disciples honestly dueled him with one sword, Feng Zichen wouldn’t mind.

But if you ran away using movement techniques right in front of Feng Zichen.

You’d hit his sore spot instantly.

He’d stop at nothing and chase you down to the ends of the earth to kill you.

As for the Fireball Technique, it goes without saying.

The Fireball Technique has now become a customary ”forbidden technique” in the Sword Discussion Conference.

Except for Mo Hua, all disciples are strictly prohibited from using it.

Especially in the Asura battle.

Anyone who carelessly throws a fireball would instantly become a target, getting hacked to death by a group of enraged cultivators.

While hacking, they would shout:

”How dare you use the Fireball Technique!”

”You think you’re so great?”

”I absolutely hate the Fireball Technique!”

...

In the first round of clearing, Mo Hua did not appear.

Yet, it seemed as if his shadow was everywhere.

Thus, after this rapid slaughter and ”filtering”, two hours later, the first round of ”clearing” concluded.

The weak and those resembling Mo Hua were all eliminated.

The Qian Learning Hundred Gates disciples were almost completely wiped out.

Many of the lower-tier Twelve Streams disciples were eliminated.

The Eight Great Gates lost only a few people.

The Four Great Sects remained untouched.

At this time, another issue arose:

Continue searching for Mo Hua?

Or continue this competition?

The prodigies leading each sect silently calculated in their minds.

Ye Qingfeng from the Daluo Sect spoke:

”I suggest all sects cease fighting and, at all costs, first kill Mo Hua.”

”After Mo Hua’s death, we can then discuss victory among ourselves.”

”Don’t forget, this Mo Hua is a huge hidden threat.”

”His cultivation may be insignificant, but he is proficient in concealment and unmatched in movement; in such a large arena, he moves freely like a fish in water. If we don’t unite to first kill him and let him ’survive’ to the end, we won’t be able to deal with him.”

The Daluo Sect, a sect with two prodigies.

One practiced the Daluo Flying Sword Skill but was killed with a sword by Mo Hua, causing his great fall—Qian Learning’s former number one sword control genius, Ye Zhiyuan.

The other is Ye Qingfeng, who practices the Daluo Unification Sword Skill.

Ye Qingfeng is tall and handsome, with deep cultivation, but because of the Unification Sword Skill, his aura is restrained and doesn’t draw attention.

However, those in the know understand Ye Qingfeng’s cultivation is extremely strong, almost the first under the four prodigies.

Additionally, like Ye Zhiyuan, he is a ”seed” level prodigy filled with the Daluo Ancestor’s hope, marked with the special Eternal Life Rune.
