Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2031: Chapter 973: Destroying the Evidence (2)

Mo Hua gasped for breath, then said urgently:

”Let’s go!”

Elder Xun is really going to kill this Mr. Tu, getting entangled in unknown karma, he might die.

Xun Ziyou saw Mo Hua’s serious expression, and was slightly tense, considering that heaven and earth were vast, Mo Hua’s safety was paramount. It was not the time to create more trouble, so he obediently nodded:

”Alright.”

Afterwards, the group didn’t hesitate any longer. Urged by Mo Hua, they left without a second thought.

Mr. Tu watched the backs of Mo Hua and the others, pondering.

”Should I unlock the Evil Path seal and kill them deep within this Solitary Mountain...”

”That Sword Dao Elder might not be killable, but that little Foundation Establishment brat is quite bizarre, might as well kill him to prevent future trouble...”

”Catch them and kill...”

Mr. Tu couldn’t stop stepping forward.

But suddenly, with a rumble, the earth moved and the mountains shook, mixed with the sound of repeated explosions of flames.

”Shen Family? Have they made a move?”

Mr. Tu frowned, feeling secretly resentful.

Originally, everything was calculated perfectly, but at the last moment, something unexpected happened, the Divine Lord’s Divine Fetus was gone, this Solitary Mountain lost its protection, the evil fog dissipated, exposing the karma.

The Shen Family also figured out the hidden tricks inside.

Probably not only the Shen Family but other aristocratic families and sects too have caught the scent and gathered around.

”Forget it, I’ve got what I needed.”

Mr. Tu’s bloodthirsty gaze swept over everyone, coldly saying, ”Once the Divine Lord descends, everyone will die. Whether they die early or late, it makes no difference...”

After saying this, his human demon shell twisted, human skin grew out again, transforming into a plain-looking Shen Family Elder, striding towards outside the shrine.

...

Inside the mass grave.

Xun Ziyou and the others hid in the shadows, facing a group of Shen Family cultivators.

The Shen Family cultivators were arranging fire formations and casting fire talismans within the pit, employing various flame formations to burn the bodies in the pit.

Flames rose everywhere, thick smoke billowed.

All around were signs of fiery explosions, blazing flames rampaging.

With the burning of corpses, the thick smoke reeking of stench was all dispersed by the Clear Rain Formation.

The Shen Family was destroying the evidence!

Master Gu was furious inside, secretly resentful: ”The Shen Family truly has lost all conscience.”

Fan Jin shook his head and glanced around at the numerous Shen Family cultivators, frowning: ”Too many Shen Family members... should we fight our way out?”

Xun Ziyou shook his head, ”Too many people, we can’t make a move, we’ll have to think of a way to sneak out...”

If they made a move, they would attract a large ensemble of Shen Family Golden Core cultivators to besiege them.

They were burning mining cultivators’ bodies to destroy evidence, fearing the leaking of secrets.

If these few were exposed, the Shen Family would certainly spare no effort to kill and silence them.

Fortunately, the mass grave was huge, there were many miners’ corpses, ”destroying evidence” was a large task.

The Shen Family’s current focus was entirely on the corpse burning, leaving them unable to attend to other matters.

Coupled with frequent explosions, flames scattered everywhere, the scene was chaotic, slipping away wouldn’t be difficult.

Xun Ziyou found a group of solitary Shen Family cultivators and made a move to kill them.

Those sent to destroy evidence were certainly Shen Family confidants, undoubtedly complicit in the mine affairs, none were innocent, Xun Ziyou naturally showed no mercy.

After killing several Shen Family cultivators, he stripped them of their clothes and Shen Family tokens, tossed their bodies into the mine pit, ignited fire talismans, burning them along with the miners’ corpses.

After that, the group donned Shen Family clothes, impersonating Shen Family cultivators, blending into the crowd to walk out of the tomb.

Xun Ziyou was a sect elder, Fan Jin a supervisor, Master Gu also managed a refinery shop, their identities weren’t ordinary.

Especially Xun Ziyou, imposing in presence, in Shen Family Taoist robes, radiating late Golden Core stage pressure made no one dare to question.

The only one likely to be exposed was Mo Hua.

He was not tall, wearing Shen Family cultivator Taoist robes, obviously oversized, the robe dragging on the ground.

However, with the tomb being dim, coupled with flames blazing and smoke everywhere, Mo Hua blended in the middle of Xun Ziyou and the others, unnoticed.

He didn’t use any concealment technique.

Because in the tomb, there were too many Shen Family Golden Core cultivators, many with Divine Sense realms higher than his. Once seen through, it would surely arouse suspicion.

It was better to blend openly into the crowd.

Thus, led by Xun Ziyou, they impersonated Shen Family cultivators, casually distributing fire talismans and formations to create chaos, and then seizing the opportunity to leave.

Mo Hua occasionally created disturbances, secretly triggering explosions in Shen Family’s arranged formations.

Or stealthily altering the formation patterns to cause malfunctions, ”accidentally injuring” Shen Family’s own people.

The situation grew more chaotic.

In this chaos, Xun Ziyou led Mo Hua and the others step by step out of the mass grave, reaching the tomb path above.

Once in the tomb path, things became simpler.

The route here had been traversed once by Mo Hua with a compass, thoroughly familiar.

Hence, Mo Hua secretly directed the way, leading Xun Ziyou and the others to bypass the bulk of Shen Family cultivators.

Those they couldn’t avoid were killed outright.

Step by step, they reached the entrance of the tomb.

The tomb entrance was guarded by many Shen Family cultivators, making it impossible to exit.

Mo Hua thought for a moment, then found a spot along the tomb path half a mile away, dismantled a formation, and then Xun Ziyou used Golden Core power to punch through the stone wall before leaving the Solitary Mountain tomb.

But once outside, there were still Shen Family members everywhere.

Because below, the Shen Family was using fire talismans and formations to destroy evidence, continuous sounds of explosions, the mountain shook, so the noise of breaking through the stone wall didn’t seem abrupt.
