Milf Hunter: Seducing And Taming Beauties

Chapter 1153: Kasumi’s Demand: Stay

Without a word, I pointed it out to the attendant, who nodded with a knowing smile and added it to our purchase. Kasumi’s face flushed anew, her free hand flying to her mouth as she let out a muffled, embarrassed sound.

The female attendant, ever the professional, pretended not to notice Kasumi’s flustered state, but I could see the amusement in her eyes as she rang up our items.

As we left the lingerie store, the weight of the bag in Kasumi’s hand seemed to amplify her embarrassment. She walked slightly ahead of me, her shoulders hunched as if she could hide from the world, her kimono swaying gently with each step.

I watched her, my heart full, the sight of her so alive—flustered, worried, but still mine—making everything else fade into the background.

Then, as if sensing my gaze, she glanced back at me, her eyes still wide with a mix of shyness and exasperation. ”Jack...” she hissed, her voice a whisper, though there was no real anger in it.

I grinned, my voice warm. ”What, Oka-san? You’re the one who looks like she’s about to faint...”

Kasumi groaned, her face burning as she turned away, but not before I caught the small, reluctant smile tugging at her lips.

We walked in comfortable silence for a moment, the city lights casting a golden glow over us. Then, I spotted a small boutique across the way, its window display filled with scarves in every color imaginable. I tugged Kasumi’s hand gently, guiding her toward it.

”Jack?” she asked, her voice curious but laced with exhaustion.

I didn’t answer right away. Instead, I led her inside, the chime of the bell above the door announcing our entrance.

The store was cozy, the air scented with lavender and something sweet, like vanilla. The walls were lined with shelves of folded scarves, their fabrics ranging from silk to wool, their colors vibrant and rich.

I browsed quickly, my eyes landing on a deep navy scarf—soft, lightweight, and just the right size to conceal the bandage on my neck.

I picked it up, running the fabric between my fingers to test its texture. Satisfied, I turned to Kasumi, who was watching me with a mix of confusion and concern.

I draped the scarf around my neck, adjusting it carefully so it covered the bandage completely.

The fabric was cool against my skin, a stark contrast to the warmth of Kasumi’s gaze as she took in what I’d done. Her eyes softened, a mix of relief and something deeper—gratitude, maybe, or the quiet acknowledgment of the lengths I’d go to protect them all.

”I don’t want to worry Haruna, Yuko, or Oba-san,” I said, my voice soft but firm. The last thing I wanted was for them to see the bandage and spiral into panic. Not after everything we’d been through today. ”Promise me, Oka-san... You won’t tell them about this either.”

Kasumi’s expression softened further, her eyes glistening slightly as she reached out, her fingers brushing against the scarf. The touch was light, almost reverent, as if she were memorizing the feel of the fabric, the way it concealed the truth beneath. She nodded, her voice a whisper. ”I promise...”

I let out a slow breath, my hand covering hers where it rested against the scarf. ”After dropping you home,” I continued, my voice gentle but resolute, ”I will go out for a few days until my injuries are healed. Otherwise, living together, Haruna, Yuko, or Oba-san are bound to notice my injury...”

I gestured vaguely to my neck, the scarf shifting slightly with the movement. ”As I can’t always cover my neck.”

Kasumi’s face paled, her grip tightening on my hand as if she were afraid I’d disappear if she let go. ”Go... go where?” Her voice was trembling, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and determination. ”No... I... I will not allow it. You will stay with me.”

I grabbed her hand, my thumb tracing circles over her knuckles, my voice soothing. ”Don’t be nervous, Oka-san. It’s just for a few days, until I’m healed... and I will be back.”

Kasumi shook her head, her voice firm but laced with panic. ”What would you tell Haruna and the others?”

I considered for a moment, my gaze flickering to the shopping bags in her other hand. ”Well, just tell them that I have some business to deal with...”

Kasumi’s breath hitched, her voice a whisper. ”But...”

I reassured her with a squeeze of her hand, my voice warm. ”It’s just a few days. I’ll be fine.”

Kasumi’s worry didn’t fade, but she nodded, her fingers tightening around mine as we paid for the scarves and walked out of the shopping center. The night air was cool, the city lights casting a golden glow over us as we made our way to the car.

Kasumi drove, her grip on the wheel a little too tight, her knuckles white. I sat in the passenger seat, watching her from the corner of my eye, my heart aching at the tension in her shoulders.

She glanced at me, her voice agitated. ”No... You are not allowed to go. No matter what.” Her voice was firm, her eyes burning with a mix of fear and determination. ”I will think of something. Please... just promise me...”

I saw the worry etched into her face, the way her fingers trembled slightly on the wheel. She was terrified—terrified of losing me, even for a few days. And I couldn’t bear it.

I reached over, my hand covering hers on the gear shift, my voice soft. ”Okay... Okay. I will listen to my wife.” I gave her a small, reassuring smile. ”I won’t go.”

Kasumi let out a shaky breath, her shoulders sagging slightly in relief. Her voice was a whisper. ”Thank you...”

We reached home and walked in together, me carrying the shopping bags, the weight of them a welcome distraction from the emotional weight of the day.

As we stepped inside, the warm glow of the living room lights enveloped us, the scent of dinner lingering in the air. It was almost 11:30 P.M., and the house was quiet, the only sounds the soft hum of the refrigerator and the distant murmur of the TV.

Yuko looked up from where she was sitting on the couch, her eyes lighting up as she took in the shopping bags. ”You guys bought so much...” she said, her voice warm with curiosity as she took the bags from me, her fingers brushing against mine.

Tomiko, who had been sitting beside Yuko, turned to me, her expression concerned. ”Jack... what did the doctor say?”

I kept my voice steady, my gaze flickering to Kasumi for a brief moment before answering. ”It’s nothing. We met Doctor Fumiko...” I said, my tone light but firm. ”She just asked Oka-san to rest.”

Tomiko nodded, her shoulders relaxing slightly, though her eyes still held a flicker of concern. ”That’s good...”
