The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1389: The Mysterious Renegade Hunter

Aside from his age, one thing many wanted to know was where Klaus came from and which family he was from. There is just no way someone as monstrous as him would not have a powerful background.

Of course, from the video of his battle with Blood Shadow, he claimed he came from no affluent background.

However, from what he had just revealed, he indeed was from a powerful family, but he had no plan to reveal it.

That alone had caused many to start wondering just what kind of person he really was. There was just no way he would make such a bold statement without actually having the means to back it up.

If he were merely bluffing, he wouldn’t have made such bold statements from the start. However, he angered Rouni, which suggests he isn’t afraid of him

Of course, he has the background to back his claims.

First, there are his Uncle Monks, who, from what Queenie told him, are all-powerful gods and maybe even Supremes. He has yet to learn more, but he is thrilled to learn they are alive.

The second is the Asura Race. Learning they are still alive gave him all the satisfaction he needed. Even though they are not with him yet, the mere fact that they are alive means one day they will return to the universe.

When the day comes, even Heaven’s Court will become scared.

Aside from them, there are also the hidden forces he had scattered across the universe. He had met many people and made many friends in all the nine lives he had lived, and so had his wives, so there is just no way he would be in danger.

They are all just waiting for him to reach out and ask for help. In fact, even if he does not ask for help, the moment he is in danger, they will come.

So a family of two Supremes and four gods would not scare him.

”I left my family and became a hunter because I want to make a name for myself. I have no plans to use my family to intimidate anyone. That goes without saying; if anyone has a problem with me, they can come settle it personally.

However, the moment they start involving external forces, then I will also play the dirty game and make sure that when all is said and done, the one left standing will be me.

Trust me, I have no reservations when it comes to preserving my life. So, the same way I will treat a demon, I will use the same method against anyone if they decide to play dirty.”

”Those are some bold words.”

”I know. But as the saying goes, it is mere words until it is not.”

Lady Ivy smiled. ”That is indeed true. However, I doubt you would actually go that extreme when you have plans to make a name for yourself. I mean, what kind of person would you be if you started using your family name to intimidate others?”

Klaus nodded. ”That is indeed true. But for safety, when the time comes, I would not hesitate. For now, I will prove my worth yet again in two days when I wipe the floor with him. Afterwards, I will continue walking my path.

Who knows, maybe he and I will meet again and work together to save this universe from the foreign race.

Someone who manages to reach the Top Ten, standing as the only True Immortal among hundreds of Immortal Kings, is worthy of my respect.”

There is just no way to genuinely hate someone like Klaus. He said all kinds of disrespectful things, but in the end, he made everyone like him by being real with them.

Showing that he respects Rouni’s achievement made those who were angry soften up. And that is what he wanted. He wants people to know the real him so that one day they can relate to him.

To make things even better, Lady Ivy came through for him.

”So if you were one day asked to team up with Warrior Rouni, would you accept?”

”Why not? As long as he has the heart of a warrior, I would not mind teaming up with him against a foe that seeks to destroy this universe.”

”That is big of you. Many would take him as an enemy for all eternity.” Lady Ivy smiled mysteriously and continued, ”Standing on that, I want to know if you will be the same bigger person and forgive Blood Shadow if she comes forward to apologize.”

She ended her question with a giggle, a clear indication she knew what she was doing. From the start to this moment, all her questions were engineered to arrive at this moment.

Klaus had 500 minds, but he never saw it coming.

He stared long and hard at Lady Ivy, knowing full well that if he returned to his petty self, people would genuinely hate him. He had just proven to be the bigger person after agreeing to team up with Rouni.

If he reneged on that statement, he would become a joke.

”Of course, I will forgive her if she publicly apologizes. However, she must pay for damages. I suffered both physical and mental damage, so maybe 40 billion Heaven Crystals will be enough to buy medication.”

Lady Ivy burst out in uncontrollable laughter along with trillions of others. Those who took him seriously could not help feeling amused, seeing how shameless he can also be.

In fact, his haters could not help but smile. Klaus is a whole mood that, if they were to get more of, would make the universe a better place.

Seated somewhere on her personal planet, Lady Ryuu shook her head, feeling amused. Sitting opposite her was another lady with silver hair.

She is also a Supreme, but a glance was all it would take to know she is weaker than Lady Ryuu.

”Big sister, it seems your boyfriend is very shameless.”

”Shut up, Lyall, he is not my boyfriend.” Her cheeks turned red for a second, but that was all Lyall needed. The next couple of years will be hell for Lady Ryuu.

Somewhere else, Rouni smirked, staring at Klaus’s handsome face. A part of him wanted to humiliate Klaus because his father wanted him to, but after hearing what Klaus had to say, he could not help feeling like the brat was not too bad.

However, recalling what he wanted, he returned to his angry self and started to wait for the day of the duel to arrive.

Away from the Human Unity, seated in a cave somewhere in the Elven Galaxy, was a white-haired man clad in a monk’s clothes. His ears are long, showing he has the elven bloodline.

However, many years ago, he was one of the Four Ancestor Monks who took Fruity in and tried to make him a monk. Safe to say they failed, but managed to make him into a fine warrior.

Now, he had become a Supreme. In fact, he is one of the Elven Supremes.

A few days ago, he received word from a reliable source that Fruity (Klaus) is back and has started causing trouble.

He was not surprised by that. He knew the kind of person Klaus is, so he had been keeping an eye on him. Just now, hearing him claim his uncles will come to his aid if anyone dares to play dirty cracked him up.

But hearing how shameless he is, he could not help but wish he were standing beside him so he could give him a good knock.

Monks are not supposed to be this shameless.
