When the Five Divine Elements were exposed, Duan Ling Tian only had to deal with the threat from Wu Hong Qing, the Temple Master of the Title Temple, and Mi Xuan. However, he would have to deal with almost everyone from the various Devata Realms because of the exposure of his prominent divine artifact with an artifact soul.

Perhaps, he could hide in one of the mundane realms. However, it would be detrimental to his cultivation since he might be lulled into a sense of complacency in the mundane realms. Apart from obtaining the Divine Elements from the top five Nine Stars Gods of War in the Nine Serenities Battlefield, this was also one of the reasons he decided to come to the Nine Serenities Battlefield.

“Alright. I’ll go to the Realm Battlefield to enter a Realm of Gods, Sister Water. However, before I leave, I’d like to find a place for my family to settle down,” Duan Ling Tian said decisively. He knew this was the best option available to him. He could not afford to hide away in a mundane realm since it would affect his mental state and cultivation. Although he knew his diligence and luck contributed greatly to his speed of progress, his mental state and the circumstance he was in played a big part as well. Hence, he knew that hiding in a peaceful mundane realm would blunt his edges.

“I knew you’d make the right choice,” the World Cleansing Divine Water said, clearly not surprised, “We’ll break through the barrier of the Nine Serenities Battlefield and send you to the Realm Battlefield after we find a place for your family to settle down.”

After the Five Divine Elements brought the remaining energies of their counterparts into Duan Ling Tian’s Little World, Duan Ling Tian deactivated the Five Divine Elements Devouring Formation before he quietly left the Nine Serenities Battlefield.

When he arrived at the Devata Realms, he made sure he was not being followed as he traveled to the transportation site that would bring him to a mundane realm.

…

While Duan Ling Tian was in the mundane realm searching for a safe place for his family to settle down, a huge commotion erupted in various Devata Realms due to the deaths of Yang Meng and the others.

How could the deaths of the top Nine Stars Gods of War who had dominated the Nine Serenities Battlefield for such a long time not cause a commotion?

Apart from Shou Huo, the other four Nine Stars Gods of War had always hidden their identities when they traveled the Devata Realms and cultivated in seclusion. Despite cultivating in seclusion, they were not without family or friends. For this reason, their deaths did not go unnoticed and even began to spread.

For example, Yang Meng was from the Titan Clan. The Titan Clan was an ancient clan that was made up of offspring between humans and unique beings.

Many years ago, the Titan Clan was almost annihilated because they had provoked a Heavenly Emperor. Although some of them managed to survive, they had to live in hiding, afraid of bringing disaster to the clan if their survival was discovered. Hence, they had placed their hopes in Yang Meng, hoping he would grow strong enough so they would no longer have to live in hiding. When he first obtained the Chaos Divine Earth and slowly evolved it into its eighth form, his clansmen grew even more hopeful. After all, with the Chaos Divine Earth, he had very high chances of becoming a Supreme God and even a supreme powerhouse. Alas, none of them expected him to perish in the Nine Serenities Battlefield when he tried to obtain a prominent divine artifact with an artifact soul.

…

At the Titan Clan estate.

The dozen remaining survivors of the Titan Clan were gathered at this moment, trying to figure out how Yang Meng died.

“Who killed A Meng?”

“Even if the other four joined forces, they still wouldn’t be able to kill him. After all, his defenses were incredibly strong due to the Chaos Divine Earth and the law of earth.”

four of them joined forces, they are still incapable of killing him. With his defensive capabilities and the help of the Chaos Divine Earth, he could still escape.”

A Meng was Yang Meng’s real name. He had randomly used the surname ‘Yang’ when he entered the Nine Serenities Battlefield.

…

Similar to the Titan Clan, those close to He Chun Li, Han Xuan, and Tan Jin were devastated by their deaths as well. All of them wondered who had the capability to kill them.

Before Tan Jin died, he had tried to send a message to his younger brother who was also in the Nine Serenities Battlefield. However, he soon realized it was futile since the Five Divine Elements Devouring Formation prevented him from contacting others.

Among the five Nine Stars Gods of War, Shou Hou had the most special identity. His real name was Zong Yan.

Zong Yan belonged to a famous heaven-grade force called the Hell Bird Clan. He was the hybrid of a human and a Hell Bird.

The Hell Bird Clan was a beast clan in the Asura Hell, one of the seven deadliest places in the Devata Realms. In the past, they would bring disaster to various Devata Realms. As a result, many powerful Emperors of Gods from the Realms of Gods descended and suppressed them. Since the clan had many Lords of Gods and Emperor of Gods in the Realms of Gods, no one in the Devata Realms dared to retaliate against them.

Under normal circumstances, a half-blood like Zong Yan would have been shunned by the Hell Bird Clan. However, due to his talent and the recognition from the Chaos Divine Flame that had been in the clan for generations, he became the Holy Son of the Hell Bird Clan and was only ranked below the clan leader and a few supreme elders. Needless to say, the clan viewed him as their hope. The strongest powerhouse to have come from the clan was only an Emperor of Gods. With Zong Yan, they might produce a Supreme God or even a supreme powerhouse. When the time came, the Hell Bird Clan would be able to rise to the ranks of mighty forces like the Qilin Clan in the Ten Thousand Beast Heaven! Alas, their Holy Son, Zong Yan, also known as Shou Huo, had perished.

The Clan Leader of the Hell Bird Clan roared, “We must find out who killed Zong Yan! Whether it’s Duan Ling Tian or one of those four people, we’ll kill them and those related to them!”

Following that, the Hell Bird Clan sent many titled Celestial Emperors into the Nine Serenities Battlefield to investigate the whereabouts of Duan Ling Tian and the other four Nine Stars Gods of War. However, it was futile since Duan Ling Tian had already left the Nine Serenities Battlefield while the other four Nine Stars Gods of War had already died.

…

Meanwhile, Duan Ling Tian brought his family and friends to an unknown mundane realm and found a beautiful and remote island that looked like paradise itself. There were no humans around since the sea was brimming with beasts.

The fragrance of flowers permeated the air on the island, and the sounds of birds chirping rang melodiously in the air.

When Duan Ling Tian brought his family and friends out of his Little World, the previously deserted island grew livelier.

However, the beasts in the sea began to surface when they sensed human auras. They swam toward the island, starving for human flesh. Alas, they were all killed by Duan Nian Tian, Duan Ling Tian’s son.

The blood of the beasts stained the island and the sea red, warning away other beasts.

After they had settled down, Duan Ling Tian spoke to his father and mother, Duan Ru Feng and Li Rou, before he left.

“Father, mother, please stay here for a while. Remember not to return to the Devata Realms no matter what. Wait for 300 years. I promise to return with Ke’er at that time!”

“Tian’er, look after yourself,” Duan Ru Feng said solemnly. A hint of pride could be seen in his eyes when he looked at his outstanding son.

“Tian’er, when you’re in the Realm of Gods, remember not to be stubborn. You have to know when to retreat to advance. You must take care of yourself,” Li Rou said worriedly.

Duan Ling Tian nodded. He did not tell his parents that he would be entering the Realm of Gods through the Realm Battlefield to prevent them from worrying too much.. He had lied and told them he would be able to enter the Realm of Gods through the Nine Serenities Battlefield.
