War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

Meng Hao and the others did not expect the pseudo realm that they thought was a treasure vault left behind by a powerhouse at the Ninth Form of the Saint Celestial Stage would turn out to be a trap for human powerhouses in the Dao Martial Saint Land by three Devils! If they had known this, they would not have entered this realm even if they were 10,000 times braver!

“How’s this possible?”

“He… How could he be a Devil?”

“This realm is created by three Devils?”

“If this realm is really created by the Devils then it’s likely they’re just toying with us…”

“They’re not just toying with us… They intend to kill us!”

These people who were ‘lucky’ enough to pass the third test were no longer happy. They only felt fear at this moment.

If Zheng Dong Ji was a Devil, he definitely would not let them go!

“During the Human-Devil Era, my friends and I were only normal Devils,” Zheng Dong Ji continued to say with a hint of pain in his voice, “After the Devil Clans were defeated by human powerhouses in the Dao Martial Saint Land, humans continued to slaughter the Devils who failed to return to the Exiled Realm. I watched my people die as they were killed by humans. I will never forget how they were killed! I’m lucky enough to survive and found ten other companions. Nevertheless, in the years that followed, some of them were killed and some of them died of old age. In the end, only me and two other Devils managed to break through to the Seventh Form of the Saint Celestial Stage. This granted us long lives. We managed to escape humans’ notice and broke through to the Ninth Form of the Saint Celestial Stage and passed the Heavenly Tribulation before ascending.”

Zheng Dong Ji paused for a moment before he said, “Naturally, what we wanted most was to return to the Exiled Realm or what you humans call the Land of Exile. However, some human powerhouses had sealed the tear in the space barrier between the Saint Province Realm, the name that Devils call the Dao Martial Saint Land, and the Exiled Realm. We couldn’t return.”

The expressions of Meng Hao and the others kept changing. They heard the deep-seated hatred in Zheng Dong Ji’s voice when he spoke. They knew very well he would not let them go.

“Run! We have to leave this place!”

Soon after, Meng Hao and the others made a decision.

Currently, they were all trapped in the restrictive space. There was no exit.

Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!

Wind began to whistle in the air as Meng Hao and the others split up the find a way out of this place. Although they had tried to search for a way out earlier, they did not search very thoroughly. After all, they did not think they would be killed. However, based on Zheng Dong Ji’s words, it was obvious they would not be able to live if they continued to stay here.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

After Meng Hao and the others’ failed to find a way out, they all began to try to force their way out with their strength. However, as soon as their punches, kicks, and techniques landed, the space would absorb the force.

“Oh, no! This place is like the small restrictive we were in earlier. It can absorb our energies or our energies can pass through it, but our physical bodies are trapped here!”

At this time, all of them regained their senses and recalled the small space that could only fit two adults when they first entered the realm and encountered the first series of tests. At that place, their energies could pass through the space but their physical bodies could not.

Everyone’s expressions changed immediately.

At the same time, Zheng Dong Ji continued to speak as Meng Hao and the others desperately searched for a way out.

“In order to avoid the hunt, my friends and I hid in the Mortal Continent in your Saint Province Realm… Although it took us longer to cultivate, it was safer there. Just like that, we kept cultivating as the Dao Martial Saint Land was divided into two until we reached the Ninth Form of the Saint Celestial Stage and passed the Heavenly Tribulation! We were finally able to achieve our dream of leaving the Saint Province Realm by ascending. Before we ascended, we decided to leave a gift for the future generation of Devils when they invade the Saint Province Realm… This gift is the death of you people. I’m sure all of you are considered elites in the Saint Province Realm. After all, only those above the Fourth Form of the Saint Celestial Stage would be able to pass the first series of tests. In short, we’re targeting human powerhouses at or above the Fourth Form of the Saint Celestial Stage!”

Zheng Dong Ji’s words caused the expressions of Meng Hao and the others to change again. They did not expect Zheng Dong Ji and his two companions had plotted for such a long time! Moreover, they had fallen victim to the Devils’ plot.

At this moment, they felt like the world’s unluckiest people. They all regretted being greedy and coming in here. If God gave them another chance, they would not enter this place even if they were beaten.

“This pseudo realm we created is controlled by two Formations. This Formation in the Upper Province is connected to another Formation in the Lower Province. Although these two Formations are in different realms, due to the joint effort between me and my friends, the Formations are able to sense each other and aren’t affected by the space barrier.”

Zheng Dong Ji continued to say, “This is somewhat similar to the Inter-province Transportation Formation that humans created to connect the Lower Province and Upper Province. The main difference is our Formations don’t transport living things… It serves as detectors. To activate the Formation we’ve set up in the Upper Province, the Formation in the Lower Province has to come in contact with the pure Devil Qi from the Devil Clans.”

“Before our ascension, there were no more Devils in the Saint Province Realm… That’s why we aren’t worried the Formation would be accidentally activated. In conclusion, the day the Formation in the Upper Province is activated is the day the Devils from the Exiled Realm invade the Saint Province Realm!”

Zheng Dong Ji showed no signs of stopping as he talked. “The first place the Devils will arrive at when they pass through the barrier is the Lower Province of the Dao Martial Saint Land… As long as someone from the Devil Clans enters the Lower Province, it’ll activate the Formation in the Lower Province, and subsequently activate the Formation in the Upper Province. Once that happens, an entrance to a pseudo realm would appear. This is our gift to the Devil Clans when they invade the Saint Province Realm again! Your deaths will be a great loss to humankind and all Saint Beasts. It’ll be easier for the Devils to conquer the Saint Province Realm with your deaths! Perhaps, we’ll finally be able to achieve what we failed to achieve during the Human-Devil Era and annihilate all humans this time!”

After Zheng Dong Ji recounted everything that happened from the ancient times until now, he laughed menacingly. It made everyone’s skin crawl. A hint of despair could be seen in everyone’s eyes.

“Based on Zheng Dong Ji’s words, the entrance to this realm would only appear when the Devil Clans invade the Saint Province Realm, right?” One of the sectless cultivators asked in a trembling voice. It was as though he needed further confirmation.

“That’s right,” someone answered shortly after in a trembling voice as well.

“T-this means the rumor is true! The Devil Clans have invaded the Dao Martial Saint Land. In fact, they might have already taken over the Lower Province?”

Many people’s eyes widened and their expressions changed when they heard this.

“If we cause humans to be annihilated by the Devils because of our greed… We’ll all be sinners!” Meng Hao said solemnly. His words caused the others to tremble.

Indeed. All of them would be sinners if humans were annihilated by the Devil Clans due to the loss of strong powerhouses.

“Three of us in particular…” Meng Hao said grimly as he looked at the other two powerhouses at the Seventh Form of the Saint Celestial Stage.

In the entire Dao Martial Saint Land, there were merely a dozen or so known powerhouses at or above the Seventh Form of the Saint Celestial Stage.

Today, three of them would be lost in this place. Moreover, they had not counted the other powerhouses at or above the Seventh Form of the Saint Celestial Stage like Madam Snake who had died!
