Chapter 2683: Going to the Swimming Class

As much as I wanted to go to the pool area with Ryouko-san and Orimura-sensei, I couldn’t just forget about the girls who should still be waiting for me at the clubroom. On top of that, my swimming gear was still with them. So, I parted ways with the two teachers outside the Administration Building, promising to catch up to them.

And as always, no matter how intimate we’d been inside Ryouko-san’s private room, Orimura-sensei snarled at me, telling me to double-time it to the pool or we’ll be marked late.

Whose fault does she think it is? She’s the one who kept me trapped between her and Ryouko-san, demanding to be pampered. Ah. It was such a great time though so I have no complaints.

Five minutes later, dragged by my girls who had me strip and change in front of them, we reached the pool area. We separated for a bit in the separate changing room so that they could take off the shirt and shorts they put on to hide their swimsuits.

Since I only needed to take off my shirt, I spent a shorter time inside the boys’ changing room.

When I got out, I waited for them before heading to join the rest of our class in the outdoor pool area.

”Ruki... hide me?” Taking her opportunity to latch onto my side and hug my arm, Misaki partly hid herself behind me as we walked towards the poolside.

”What’s wrong? You look great in it.”

”It’s not that... I only want you to see me.” The girl blushed as she pressed closer behind me. Her swimsuit was a modest navy blue one-piece just like everyone else, but it hugged her curves tightly, drawing appreciative glances from nearby boys.

She tightened her grip on my arm. ”They’re staring.”

”Well, it’s inevitable but think about it this way, Misaki,” I murmured as I pulled her to my side, matching her steps, ”They’re staring because they recognize something beautiful. Be confident about it.”

Her blush deepened, but she lifted her chin slightly, squeezing my arm tighter. I patted her head gently before looking at the others. Naturally, they’re also drawing such glances. I mean, these were all prepubescent boys whose hormones were raging at the sight of girls in swimsuits, especially since my girls were all exceptionally beautiful.

And if they keep staring like this, I trust Ryouko-san and Orimura-sensei to discipline them properly. They’d probably make them swim laps until their legs cramp. But thinking about how successful the previous classes were, Misaki might’ve just been being overly conscious.

As for what triggered that... Maybe because of her innocence that I or we were gradually peeling away? Either way, I didn’t mind shielding her. Besides, I wasn’t exactly thrilled about other guys ogling her either. But as long as they kept their distance, I wouldn’t interfere. After all, Misaki’s beauty was undeniable, and she deserved to feel confident about it.

”Misa, you’re getting pampered by him again. Are you sure you’re not just trying to monopolize him?” Maaya teased, sidling up on my other side. As the one dubbed to be the most beautiful among our year, she drew even more stares, but her confidence was unshakeable.

”It’s not, Maaya-sama! Uhm... maybe a little? But it’s just...” Misaki trailed off, pressing her cheek against my shoulder.

”Okay, you two, savor your time with him before you join your classmates, we’re taking him to our side when we reach the pool!” Nami declared as she threw me a wink, her similar school swimsuit clinging to her body, making it look like high fashion. Next to her, Hina and Saki nodded enthusiastically.

Mhm. I haven’t told them about the activity yet. I’ll leave that to our two teachers. In the meantime, I’m also just glad to drink their beauty in. Each girl wore the standard navy one-piece swimsuit, yet each wore it uniquely. Misaki’s innocence, Maaya’s elegance, Nami’s boldness, Hina’s quiet allure, Saki’s playful charm, Aya’s shy grace, Satsuki’s cool confidence, Hana’s angelic sweetness, Chii’s clumsy charm and Mio’s enhanced curves. They’re all mine. Mine to protect, mine to cherish, mine to claim.

Ah... I guess I should also appreciate An-rin and Kushii’s swimsuits. They’re maintaining a distance not because they didn’t want to intrude on us but because they’re partly embarrassed and partly conscious of what I might think of them.

”An-rin, Kushii... Come closer,” I called out to the two gyarus, who immediately flinched, especially the usually chaotic gremlin, An-rin.

”Onoda-shi... we’re fine here. Don’t mind us.” Kushii waved dismissively, but her eyes lingered on my bare chest before darting away. An-rin puffed up her cheeks and stuck her tongue out at me. ”Yeah! We’re not like these needy girls clinging to you!”

Chi, sandwiched between them, couldn’t help but laugh as she hooked her arms around their necks. ”Hehehe, what’s this? An-rin, Kushii... you don’t have to be conscious of Kii now. He’ll tease you just the same.”

An-rin squirmed away, cheeks pink. ”I’m not conscious! Just... don’t wanna crowd the perv lord!” Her eyes flicked to my chest again before she turned away.

Kushii subtly nodded as she also took a peek at my torso, her cheeks flushing slightly before she glanced away. ”I’m content observing from afar, Onoda-shi. Besides, someone needs to keep An-rin from causing trouble.”

Yeah, right. Anyway, I didn’t push them further. Instead, we continued on our way towards the poolside where our classmates were already gathered.

The moment we arrived, I immediately felt the stab of Orimura-sensei’s gaze from the other side of the pool deck. She stood beside Ryouko-san, arms crossed, lips pressed into a thin line, clearly displeased at my timing.

Ryouko-san gave me a subtle, apologetic shrug before clapping her hands sharply.

”Alright, Year 1 Class 1 and 3! Gather ’round!” Her voice cut through the chatter, instantly commanding attention as the students immediately stood up and lined up in front of her.

Misaki and Maaya went to join their class on the left side while we moved to the right.

Orimura-sensei stood beside her with her eyes locked onto me with a glare that promised punishment later.

”Last week, we had ascertained your current swimming levels,” Ryouko-san began. ”Today, I prepared a new activity to enhance teamwork and endurance.” She gestured toward the pool, where floating platforms and inflatable obstacles were already arranged. ”We’ll hold a relay tournament, with random pairs navigating the course. Participation is voluntary. Those who opt out can join Sensei Orimura for casual water exercises.”

As soon as she finished speaking, someone raised her hand. It was Umeda, Class 3’s president, ”Sensei, if it is a random pair, will it be a mix of boys and girls?”

That’s naturally a valid concern. Not everyone would be comfortable, especially with the boys’ hormones running wild.

Ryouko-san shook her head. ”Naturally, pairs will not be mixed-gender unless there’s an odd number. But...” Her gaze swept over the assembled students, lingering briefly on Umeda. ”...to encourage broader interaction, pairs will be randomized across classes. Meaning...”

She paused, letting the implication sink in. ”...Class 1 and Class 3 students will be paired together.”

Right, even though they already picked a partner for me, they naturally wouldn’t tell everyone that it would be mixed gender. It would be too problematic, after all. They’re just making an exception for me. For Orimura-sensei’s entertainment, I guess?
