Stealing Spree

Chapter 2579: A not-so-helping hand

”Sure. Whipped cream and strawberries, noted. Youʼre getting the VIP treatment today, Hifumi.” I grabbed a whisk and started mixing the syrup ingredients in a small saucepan, keeping an eye on the heat. Brown sugar, water, a splash of maple extract, and a drop of vanilla, simple but promising.

”Extra whipped cream and strawberries, huh? Youʼre getting fancy on me, Hifumi,” I teased, setting the phone on the counter so I could keep an eye on her while I worked. The next batch of pancakes hissed as they hit the hot pan, the batter spreading into golden circles. ”Alright, Iʼll give you the VIP treatment.”

Hifumiʼs pout softened into a shy smile, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her blanket. ”You and your sweet words. Donʼt think you can always buy me with that.”

”Iʼm not trying to buy you, you know? Besides, youʼre already mine.” I said with quite a smug smirk as I flipped a pancake with a flick of my wrist.

”Ugh. Thereʼs no winning against you.” Despite her words, Hifumiʼs giggle was soft and bright, like the first rays of sunlight that would creep through the kitchen window later. Mhm. This is why I cherished every second with my girls, even through a grainy video call.

The syrup was coming along nicely now, the brown sugar and a pinch of butter melting into a rich, caramel-like goo before I put half a cup of hot water in the pan. It sizzled as the caramel mixed with it. Following that, I stirred in a splash of vanilla and a drizzle of maple syrup, making the scent mix with the buttery pancakes to make the kitchen feel like a cozy haven.

Hifumi watched, her head tilting curiously. ”That looks complicated. Are you sure youʼre doing it right? Why make a caramel first rather than mixing the brown sugar right away with the water?”

”Just my personal spin, I guess? Nah. Iʼm just trying to show off. If it fails… I guess weʼll have to use the store-bought syrup,” I grinned, dipping a spoon into the syrup and holding it up for the camera. ”What do you think? Does it look like itʼs made with love?”

Hifumiʼs cheeks flushed again, and she mumbled something incoherent before clearing her throat. ”Pfft. When did you put love in that?”

”Since I started. You know, my love is always pouring out.”

”Thatʼs too cheesy, you idiot. But well, itʼs nice. Waking up to this. To you.” Hifumiʼs voice gradually softened as her beautiful smile naturally formed again.

Her words made my chest tighten a bit, like a hug I could feel across the distance.

I paused, leaning closer to the phone with my voice dropping to a quieter tone. ”Anytime, Hifumi. You know how special you are to me, right? Even when youʼre blushing and hiding behind your blanket.”

She squeaked, pulling the blanket up to her nose, her eyes wide but sparkling with affection. ”Ruki! Stop it! Youʼre gonna make me combust before I even get out of bed! This is not like me!”

I laughed, stacking the last of the pancakes and turning off the stove. ”Alright, alright, Iʼll behave. For now. Go get ready for the day, and Iʼll see you later with your requested fancy pancakes. Deal?”

”Deal,” She nodded, her voice muffled but filled with warmth. ”And, um… I miss you too, Ruki. See you soon.”

The call ended with her shy wave, and I stood there for a second, grinning like an idiot at the dark screen.

I tucked the phone into my pocket and turned back to the counter, plating the pancakes and drizzling the warm syrup over them.

A quick rummage through the fridge scored some strawberries for Hifumiʼs stack, and I set aside a can of whipped cream for her too. My girls deserved the best, and I wasnʼt about to skimp.

The house was still quiet, but I could feel it stirring. The faint creak of the stairs told me someone was up, and sure enough, Miwa-neeʼs signature footsteps, slow and unhurried, reached my ears as she emerged from the stair area.

She walked towards the kitchen and lazily leaned against the countertop, watching me from that distance.

Her negligee still appeared so alluring that it made my already excited cock from the morning side effect of the miraculous tea twitch.

Noticing that, Miwa-nee deviously smiled as she sauntered closer. Her hips swayed with that effortless grace that further excited my little brother.

The negligee clung to her curves, the fabric still slightly askew. The way her eyes sparkled with mischief told me she was ready to have some fun with me.

”Good morning, Ruki,” She greeted as she stood behind me. Her chin rested on my shoulder, her arms slid from my sides and her fingers wrapped around the tent I was pitching. ”Already hard at work, huh? And something else is hard. Did you not deal with the side effects before coming down? Should I help you with it today?”

”I… intentionally didnʼt wake them up for that, Miwa-nee. Itʼs still too early. Besides… I thought I could hold back until you showed up.”

”So, youʼre saying itʼs my fault?”

”Not exactly. But you know me. I always find you irresistible.”

”There you go. After sweet-talking another girl through a video call, youʼre now using it on me again. Let me just hold this for you. I canʼt distract you while youʼre making my requested breakfast, right?” Her grip tightened as she made it clear sheʼs not going away at all.

Perhaps, if she showed up after Iʼd already finished preparing our breakfast, weʼd be tangled up on the couch again, but with the pancakes still sizzling and the syrup cooling on the counter, I had to keep my focus. Thereʼs no need to rush. Itʼs not like Miwa-nee would bolt on me.

In any case, her teasing grip on my throbbing length was not making it easy. She kept her index finger tracing it from the base to the tip, making my precum seep through the fabric of my boxer shorts, sending sparks up my spine that made it hard to concentrate on the task at hand.

”Miwa-nee,” I said with a hint of warning and amusement as I flipped another pancake. ”Youʼre playing dirty. If you keep this up, these pancakes are gonna burn, and youʼll be stuck with cereal.”

She impishly giggled and kissed the side of my neck, her curves molding against my back. ”I trust your multitasking skills, Ruki. Youʼve handled worse distractions than me, havenʼt you? Let me just act like a mischievous wife once in a while.”

Her tone was all mischief, but there was that familiar warmth underneath, the kind that reminded me sheʼs really doing her best not to lose against the younger girlsʼ liveliness and proactiveness.

I smirked, setting the spatula down for a second to turn my head just enough to catch her eye and kiss her back. ”Worse distractions? Nah, youʼre in a league of your own.”

I reached back, giving her butt a playful squeeze, which earned me a soft gasp and a tighter grip on my cock that nearly made me fumble the pan.

”Careful, husband,” She emphasized that endearment. Without Akane around yet, sheʼs now claiming that for herself. ”Youʼre supposed to be making my pancakes with extra syrup, not starting a fire.”

I groaned, half from her touch and half from the audacity of her teasing. ”Whose fault do you think it is, Miwa-nee? Alright, let me finish these, and then weʼll see whoʼs distracting who.”

She laughed, finally easing her grip but not stepping away, her hands now resting lightly on my waist as she watched me work. ”Alright, Iʼll behave. For now. But Ruki, youʼd better deliver afterwards. Minoruʼs still asleep, and the girls wonʼt be up for a bit. Iʼve got time to pamper you and… help you out with your morning dilemma.”

Was it still a dilemma though? At this point, it was now another excuse for us to be more intimate every morning. Even if I stayed the night at another house like with Otoha, our morning remained the same.

Forced myself to focus, stacking the last of the pancakes on a plate and drizzling the homemade syrup over them. The scent of warm sugar and vanilla filled the kitchen, mixing with the buttery aroma of the pancakes. I added a few sliced strawberries to the stack Iʼd set aside for Hifumi, then turned to Miwa-nee, holding up a plate with a flourish.

”So, which will you dig in first? Your requested breakfast or…?”

I didnʼt need to complete that sentence since Miwa-nee had already chosen what she wanted to do.

After helping me place the plates on the dining table, she pulled me down to a chair, taking off my boxer shorts in the process before putting herself between my legs.

With the kitchen and our breakfast as witnesses, Miwa-nee started helping me with relieving the miraculous teaʼs side effect.
